Danganronpa V3: Remnants AU Comic Dub Casting Call

Basically, I'm looking for a couple people who can work well when it comes to video editing somewhat animated comic-dub format videos! I'll also help with video-editing as well, but I also would feel like having an extra pair of hands can never hurt, right? In the very case I'm busy with other projects or something, I think having a mini team of video editors would probably help out. It doesn't have to be extravagant or over-the-top editing, of course! Sometimes simplicity can go a long way. So no need to worry if your still a beginner. Junko Enoshima is the main antagonist of the Danganronpa Franchise. Her title is the Ultimate Fashionista, and is known as the Ultimate Despair and the girl who caused the downfall of Hope's Peak Academy. Junko is an apathetic, intelligent, and manipulative girl who tends to get easily bored to unhealthy levels, explaining why she tends to have behaviors what most consider "erratic and unstable." To try to ease this boredom, she often switches through different types of personas - and quite regularly, too. These personas range from:

• A haughty and superior British monarch


• An overly sweet, cutesy, and innocent girl


• Clinical sophistication, mature, and cynical


• An inquisitive and informative teacher/professor


• Severely depressed and on the verge of tears


• A boisterous and vulgar rockstar


• Mimicking Monokuma


• Eerie, stoic, and monotone

There is only one thing Junko loves in the world: despair. Whether it being inflicted onto herself or the people around her, Junko believes despair to be the most - and only - enjoyable emotion, and wants the whole world to be drenched in this feeling since unlike "predictable hope," despair is unpredictable and unexpecting, meaning more exciting. Why does she want to plunge the world into such despair? Well, she doesn't really have much of a reason for it other than that she just... can. This thought process makes her an extremely dangerous adversary.

For Junko's voice, I'm aiming for a bit of a blend between both her anime and game voice. In the anime, Junko's more natural speaking voice has a valley girl accent, which I'm not opposed of her having for this either! When it comes to her persona's though, I think dropping the valley girl accent would be best since Junko tends to really get into character of her personas. So I'd recommend listening to the game voice lines for them.

NOTE: In the games, depending on the persona, Junko is voiced by two VA's; one does the more higher pitched personas, and the other does the deeper pitched ones. In the very case it may be a struggle to reach the higher or lower pitched persona's voices, this role may be dual-casted.

(CW: Talks about different forms of abuse and torture)

Mukuro Ikusaba is a character in Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, Junko’s older twin sister, and her title is Ultimate Soldier. Mukuro is a very cold and serious young woman, quiet and reserved, and stays completely indifferent and distant from others unless it is Junko. She is extremely loyal and cares for her younger twin deeply, willing to follow her every order even if Mukuro feels conflicted about what she has to do, and even going as far as breaking/entering, kidnapping, killing, beating, and performing lobotomy what Junko wants, Mukuro is willing to help with it - including Junko’s plans to bring the world to despair. However, despite her loyalty, Junko returns the favor by being physically, emotionally, and mentally. This leads to Mukuro having an extremely unhealthy and abnormal sister-complex with Junko, becoming weirdly ecstatic and happy whenever talking/explaining Junko’s relationship with despair - even seemingly fine with Junko attempting to hurt or kill Mukuro if it means that Junko will suffer tremendous despair if she does, thinking it means that she loves her in return - though that could only be farther from the truth. However, it is to be noted that Mukuro doesn’t love Junko romantically (thank goodness), though it doesn’t make the dynamic between these two twins any less creepy and abusive.

Despite her dedication and devotion to Junko, Mukuro can sometimes show genuine hesitancy towards their end goal of plummeting the world into despair. Mukuro isn’t as devoted to it as Junko is - but as long it’s Junko’s wish, Mukuro is willing to sell her soul to help Junko achieve it. However, it doesn’t mean she is FULLY committed to the plan. This is implied in her free time events with Makoto as she begins to wonder about “changing her dream and finding her own.” As we know, she doesn’t go through with it in canon, but in the Danganronpa: IF novel, she does and develops feelings for Makoto during the two years they spent as classmates. In this novel, Mukuro decides to go against her sister (after still going through conflicted feelings about going through with the plan and betraying her classmates, Makoto saving her from the spears she’d be impaled within canon, and Junko cutting ties w/ Mukuro after she survives the “execution”) and stand by her classmates and escape with him. This AU, along with the Ultimate Development Plan in V3 and the game set in an AU of DrS: Ultimate Summer Camp, shows that if she gets comfortable enough, Mukuro can develop bonds and friendships with her classmates. Though she still cares deeply for Junko in these scenarios, it isn’t as to a sickly degree as she can think for herself and if she was forced to harm them, she’d feel hurt and distraught - and not in the good way that Junko loves to preach.

Now in the V3 au, I’d like to try to emulate Mukuro in a bit of a blend of both traits that the official media gives us: Still devoted and willfully bending to Junko’s will and doing what she needs her to do, but also encapsulate some of the conflicted feelings she goes through as seen in the IF model and the DrS game. After all, she does become friends with Maki in this AU. However, it is part of her needing to act along for the plan to work, seeing her friend fall into such deep despair (alongside her boyfriend who was already despaired at this point). That friend now actively ignoring her after she fell: it’s bound to make her feel some amount of grief and question if this is something she wants to do.

Shuichi Saihara is one of the main protagonists of Danganronpa: V3, and his title is the Ultimate Detective. Shuichi has a nervous and timid, yet serious and polite personality. He tends to have low self esteem of himself, believing and assuming others can do things better than he can. But when duty calls, along with the support of his friends, he tends to have a stronger attitude about himself and his work as a young detective.

As a remnant, Shuichi's personality doesn't change all that much... but he is still very twisted and warped by that sweet taste of heartbreaking and mind melting despair. Shuichi usually spends most of his time with his fellow despaired classmates and is both fascinated/interested and close with them. He revels in his despair - possibly reveling in it a little too much? - but tends to still have his nervous and skittish tendencies if he gets spooked by something. Before being brainwashed by Junko, Shuichi would always have worries about the inevitable guilt that he would feel after solving cases... but not anymore. He CRAVES in the guilt he feels and doesn't mind too much when being pushed around by his classmates... and he isn't afraid to get his hands a little dirty and bloody as he happily spreads despair with his dear friends.

When it comes to Shuichi's voice, I'm definitely leaning towards something close to his English VA. However, I want to have his more meek and timid mannerisms stand out, like how he tends to stutter a little bit and has a more unsure and worried feeling to it. So I'd defiantly lean towards taking notes on the Japanese VA to emulate those mannerisms

Kaede Akamatsu is one of the main protagonists of Danganronpa: V3, and her title is the Ultimate Pianist. Kaede is an optimistic leader for her friends, and a hard worker with a strong will. She is always willing to support and help her friends whenever they need her, and puts her dear friends before herself. Kaede is very well liked among her peers, as she is not only easy to talk to, but also acts really bubbly, kind, and silly when you interact with her. Kaede has always been considered a "piano freak" ever since she was young, as she tends to talk about music in her conversations, is almost always seen playing the piano, and avoids activities that might effect her ability to play. But that doesn't mean she isn't willing to try something new!

As a remnant, Kaede's personality stays practically the same! She's still her peppy, supportive and upbeat self, but only yearns to plunge the world into despair alongside her dearest classmates. However, instead of being a "leader" for her classmates, she takes a step back and puts herself in a "support" role. This is partially due to her guilt of not being able to save her friends when they all plunged into despair (hinting she was the final person in her class to be brainwashed), and telling herself, "if I couldn't save them from this despair, how could I even be a leader?" Similarly to Ibuki, she spreads despair through her performances to gain many fans and brainwash them.

Nothing much to point out for Kaede with her voice! I think giving her a generally upbeat and cheery tone will be good!

Kinmedai Akumatsu is a character briefly mentioned in Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony. While it wasn’t clear if Kaede really had a twin canonically, it’s being explored here! Spitty hasn’t confirmed if Kinmedai would be the Reserve Course (similarly to Hajime, Sato, and Natsumi), but because of her connection with Kaede and the news that she had been brainwashed + became a remnant, the Future Foundation let her join them regardless if she was a Reserve Course student or not. Kinmedai is more of a “jock” and more actively fit than her musically gifted twin. Even though she wasn’t the best of the best in the sports teams she joined in, she still had a lot of fun when she got to play them and just generally loved the sense of comradery she felt during them. So because of her athletic nature, she would be a part of Nekomaru Nidai’s division (because class 77 wouldn’t fall into despair in the main v3 au) and team up with him, Akane, and Hina. She definitely looks up to Nidai a lot because of his athletic skills and his huge sense of working together as a team. Now, as for her relationship with her twin, it’s relatively normal! They’d have arguments for sure as siblings naturally do, but they’d forgive and become friends again. So when the tragedy occurred and it was revealed Kaede was one of the few who became Junko’s loyal devotees, it definitely would’ve hit Kinmedai hard. However, under the Future Foundation’s recommendation and instruction, she’d have to avoid getting involved with interacting with Kaede or trying to save her, due to remnants usually targeting their own families as a source for despair.

For Kinmedai’s voice, I’d like to think of it being a bit spunkier and the slightest bit deeper than Kaede’s, but since they are twins, they’re still a bit similar! But they’re different enough for people to tell them apart. I'd also draw some inspo from Akane Owari's voice as well when it comes to mannerisms!

Kaito Momota is one of the main supporting characters of Danganronpa: V3, and his title is the Ultimate Astronaut. Kaito is an energetic and passionate man, who believes in taking risks in order to achieve your dreams. He tends to be extremely strong-willed and somewhat stubborn, especially if its about his personally beliefs. He often refers to himself as "The Luminary of the Stars" and talks about the Universe being on his side. He usually describes himself as a passionate protagonist in his own story and considers himself the "hero type," always trying to protect his friends and make others his "sidekicks," like SHuichi and Maki.

As a remnant, Kaito becomes a bit of a mix of his pregame personality and his usual personality. Kaito is still the upbeat, encouraging, and happy man we all know and love, but he also has the despairing need to kill as many people as he possibly could, thus spreading despair to others and himself as it goes against his original beliefs. Another note: you know how he considered himself a hero? Well, fuck that! As he fell deeper into despair, he began doing more and more almost cartoonishly evil things so he’ll be seen as a villain to the general public. Like Kaede, Kaito is a sort of "cheerleader" for the croup, always motivating his classmates to plunge the world into eternal despair, but unlike the pianist, Kaito still tries to take on the role of the "leader." He wants his friends to keep doing their best in keeping Junko’s vision alive, and he wants to be the one responsible for that (smilarly to how he would say to take responsibility for Shuichi during the killing game in canon).

For Kaito's voice, we need someone who can REALLY be able to speak for long periods of time, as he is a motivational speaker. Additionally, in this AU, Kaito doesn't have his illness! So try not to make him sound too sickly he doesn't really in actuality, but his voice does noticeably get more "mellow" as the game goes on and we learn more about his illness)

Maki Harukawa is one of the main supporting characters of Danganronpa: V3, and her title is the Ultimate Child Caregiver/Assassin. Maki is a very stoic and distant person, almost never seen smiling and usually keeping her emotions to herself. Despite her cute appearance, Maki is described as a "hostile misanthrope of few words." She tends to be very blunt and straightforward when speaking, sometimes coming off as rude because of her cold demeanor and sharp tongue. She also tends to be quite the realist, not believing in things such as the supernatural. Despite this, she cares deeply for her close friends and will do anything to protect them even if it means resorting to violence - especially if it's Shuichi and Kaito.

As a remnant, Maki is usually seen around her lover, Kaito - they're practically inseparable! Though Maki will retain her cold personality, her time spent with Kaito - before and during her time as a despair - has definitely caused her to become more expressive and openly emotional when she is a remnant. Her work as an assassin will definitely come into play, as she swiftly kills her victims with no mercy. However, a deep part of her feels a sense of hurt and mourning... mainly for her dear friends and classmates, especially Shuichi and Kaito. She never wanted them to be exposed to such gory and sickening atrocities, let alone willingly partake in them like her. And now, here they are: basking in the wonderful feeling of despair as they spread chaos and terror as they slaughter their victims with little care and a smile plastered onto their faces. It crushes her deeply... but if being apart of the despair means she can be happy with them, then so be it.

Maki's voice is definitely meant to sound somewhat "cute and soft," but very much invoke a sense of danger and the impression of her saying "go away." So be sure to emulate that in her voice! I'm also hoping to have a sense of melancholy and mourning in her voice as well, since the despair of seeing her friends in such murder-happy states inflicts such despair into her.

Tsumugi Shirogane is one of the characters of Danganronpa: V3, and her title is the Ultimate Cosplayer. She tends to constantly describe herself as "plain." Tsumugi is an honors student with keen intellect, but when it comes to talking about her craft as a cosplayer, she becomes deeply passionate! She loves making quirky references to her favorite shows and games even in casual conversations, some being so obscure that no one knows what she could be talking about. She's pretty timid and quiet at a first glance - especially since she tends to have a "plain" appearance and blend into the background - but as you get to know her, she is very chatty and passionate about her talent as a cosplayer, even though she more so enjoys sewing and making cosplays rather than wearing them herself.

In this AU, Tsumugi is indeed a remnant - the first one, in fact! She is deeply devoted to her darling Junko's beliefs- huh, what's that Tsumugi? O-oh, right, i'm sorry! I forgot - of COURSE she isn't a remnant! She wants to do her part in protecting the hope of the world, and assisting the Future Foundation in anyway she can. She'd NEVER partake in such a horrendous tragedy alongside her dearest classmates; she wants to save the world and honor all of the lives lost in such a horrible moment in history. I mean, that would be CRAZY! wink wink nudge nudge

Tsumugi's voice is very soft spoken, docile, and gentle. Even when she's super excited and chatting about her interests, her voice does tend to still have that docile and gentle tone to it; that doesn't mean she isn't happy or ecstatic when she speaks though!

Miu Iruma is one of the characters of Danganronpa: V3, and her title is the Ultimate Inventor. She's quite the oddball! Miu is loud and confident, with both a bitterly sharp tongue and dangerous potty mouth. Almost everything she says is extremely vulgar in nature, openly saying many dirty jokes and sometimes things that are downright bizarre, perverted, sexual, and obscene. However, Miu's arrogant and bold personality seems to be only a mask that can drop fairly easily, usually occurring when being talked back to or ignored when she makes her dirty jokes. When this occurs, her confidence is wiped away and she turns into a timid and meek coward, who is terrified of other people being angry with her. Someone who can dish it, but really can't take it. However, it's implied that the "gorgeous girl genius with good looks and golden brain" suffers from trust issues, abandonment issues, and fear of betrayal after everything that's happened in the Killing Game, and was never willing to fight back against Monokuma during the Killing game because she always had the fear that betrayal was inevitable. But according to Kiibo and Kaede, she might have this trouble with communicating and reading the room because she never had friends and really lonely deep down her self-centured and bold mask. Because according to Kiibo, Miu really is a good person deep down and reveals who she really is when around him.

Remnant Miu will be filling Kazuichi's role, creating weapons and tech the remnants use to wreck havoc. One of those inventions being the Monokubs - they're practically her children! Her personality doesn't change all that much either; still bold and foul mouthed, but when things don't go her way, immediately becomes meek and whiny. She'd spend most of her time with Kiibo, who she tweaked into becoming compliant into creating despair alongside her and their classmates.

K1-B0, or Kiibo, is one of the main characters of Danganronpa: V3, and his title is the Ultimate Robot. Kiibo is polite and serious, who tends to have some trouble with figuring out human social interaction, and often comes across as unintentionally comical as a result. Nevertheless, that doesn't stop him from trying to learn about human characteristics! Kiibo is written in a way so he'd have  both cute and cool characteristics, and also be socially awkward but serious. Kiibo really takes pride in his robotic body and form; he often likes to show off his abilities and functions, but often is met with disappointment or nonchalant reactions as these functions don't seem to be "as impressive" as he makes them out to be, which tends to hurt his pride. Despite being proud of being a robot, though, he doesn't like being defaulted to just "another ordinary machine." He has many interests that one wouldn't expect of a robot, and doesn't seem interested in sci-fi or futuristic topics like most would think. While generally well-mannered, he can get quickly angered by any prejudice against robots and sometimes threatens to sue people who make "discriminatory remarks". He considers robots a minority group among humans and can get slightly paranoid about "robophobia", supposedly because of past experiences and teasing - especially by Kokichi. Generally, Kiibo's main goal and wishes is to be someone who can make people smile and happy one day, having a love for comedies since they're something that can make people smile. Kiibo is generally very pacifistic, and nonviolent, never wanting to hurt anyone and showing empathy and care for everyone, even if they're people that give Kiibo problems.

Thanks to the technological prowers from fellow remnant and classmate, Miu, Remnant Kiibo is here to wreck havoc with an unwavering smile! Since Kiibo’s a robot, he can’t "fall to despair" normally like his classmates. So Miu would need to come up with the right upgrades and functions in order for these feelings to be stimulated into Kiibo - and as the Ultimate Inventor, it's something she can easily pull off. For Kiibo, Miu instaled a function for Kiibo that makes it impossible for him to feel any forms of negative emotion - only positive, that way he would never feel unhappy when performing heinous acts into the world. So while Kiibo still doesn’t feel "despair," he’s also never upset by what they do as remnants and is more than happy to help them out when asked.

For Kiibo, I'd rather still have him speak normally and not have any type of robotic effects for his voice! They don't do it in the games, English or Japanese, so I don't see the reason to do it here.

Kokichi Ouma is one of the main antagonistic characters of Danganronpa: V3, and his title is the Ultimate Supreme Leader. Fitting his appearance, Kokichi often acts very innocent and child-like, sometimes appearing genuine but in most situations doing so to use his looks to his advantage. He is sometimes shown to have child-like excitement and innocence, as he gets very excited about "cool" new things in a child-like excitement and often acts playful. However, don't let that deceive you. He is an elusive, intelligent, perceptive, and manipulative person who tells countless lies. Kokichi considers lying a big part of himself and a way of life, appearing either unwilling or unable to stop it and even claiming that his body is made up of 70% lies. He frequently claims one thing, only to shortly retract and say he was just lying, making him very untrustworthy. Sometimes his lies are very obvious, but at other times it can be near impossible to tell whether or not he is telling the truth. He's even able to tell when a person is lying because of how often he lies himself.

Kokichi is one of the first of his classmates to become a remnant; first being Tsumugi, then Kaito, and then him. Since they're some of the first members, Kaito and Kokichi are always butting heads in the form of a prank war - it would usually be inatiated by Kokichi ppre-despair, but as things became stranger, the duo seemed weirdly... equal and mean. They'd always play cruel pranks, send hurtful things that would cut them to their core, and it would get increasingly worse as the days go on. But oddly, they'd brush things off as if it was a harmless funny prank. But by the time people caught on... it was already too late. Pre tragedy, he would kill his  members of DICE as an act of submitting to the despair, murdering the only people he'd see as his family. During the tragedy, Kokichi's lies about becoming the supreme leader of a large secret society finally becomes true. He would rebuild DICE from the ground up, his new goal to be spreading despair across the globe. As for his personality, Kokichi would tend to bounce around with his emotions, likely to mirror Junko herself. However, some habits just won't ever die, as Kokichi is still the trickster and conniving liar like he was before he was a remnant.

For his voice, I'm definitely leaning towards something close to his English voice, but really also want to encapsule the more playful and teasing side like his Japanese VA does. While his JPN VA plays off of Kokichi's cute/innocent face and builds up his endearing personality and small touches of innocence, he makes him seem like a little kid playing games. As for his ENG VA, he focuses on Kokichi's more sarcastic trickster demeanor.

Gonta Gokuhara is a character of Danganronpa: V3, and his title is the Ultimate Entomologist. Despite his burly, muscular, and very intimidating build, Gonta has the heart of purest gold. He’s extremely kind hearted, gentle, and polite to everyone he meets around him. He vows to always protect the people he sees as his friends and family - even if it means he’d have to risk his life doing so. If he feels like he wasn’t able to do so, he’s not afraid to cry and let out his sadness - even if some consider it “unmanly” to do. 

His kind heart does come at a price - because of how trusting he can be, he can also come across as naive and gullible, usually always believing things straight away from even strangers and falls for some of the easiest lies a person could tell rather quickly and easily and not understanding sexual or intimate innuendos. From a young age, he had always been an animal lover and a huge lover of all bugs and insects. At one point in his childhood, he went missing, lived with a family of wolves for ten years, and was then found. This could explain his not entirely high intellect in most subjects not revolving outdoors or entomology and somewhat broken speech. As a way to repay his “forest family” for watching over him, Gonta vowed to become a “true gentleman” and help his friends whenever possible without resorting to violence, and will become critical of himself if he does something a person would consider to be “ungentlemanly.”

Naturally, he is very squeamish and sensitive to any form of killing and cruelty, often becoming frightened and terrified, sometimes tearing up, if it does happen and tries to break things up. 

Because of his time spent in the woods, Gonta has a lot of knowledge about nature and animals, and what he specializes in - insects. He always becomes happy and sometimes a bit intense if he thinks someone states/expressed interest in bugs, but will grow angry if someone says they don’t or hears someone hating on bugs (friend or not), claiming no bad person could hate bugs. This is really one of the only things that can truly make Gonta angry, though. For the rest of the time you see him, he’s the human equivalent of a large teddy bear. Just don’t say you have a distaste for bugs… otherwise you’ll face his wildlike wrath.

As a remnant, Gonta’s beliefs turn a complete 180. All his time spent living in the forest will come out when he’s a remnant, and his inner animal comes out. He’s wild, mean, messy - you wouldn’t be able to differentiate him from a wild ape. No more is the happy, loveable Gonta. Thanks to Junko, he’s an animalistic shadow of who he used to be.

Tenko Chabashira is a character of Danganronpa: V3, and her title is the Ultimate Aikido Master. Tenko's emotions and heart are practically sewn onto her sleeve. She's boisterous, cheerful, and loud - combined with her fighting spirit and her skills at what she calls "Neo-Aikido," she can bee seen as an energetic ray of sunshine that can bring the energy to everywhere she goes. However, sometimes her emotions can get the better of her, as she can suffer from overactivity and anger issues, always ready to take on her opponents in a fight and sometimes resorting to being a bit violent despite Aikido being a "defensive" form of martial arts... especially if it's about a "degenerate male." Due to her masters irresponsible - borderline misandrist - teachings about men when she was first learning Neo-Aikido, Tenko has developed a strong hatred for boys and is always making up excuses or stories on how bad boys can be - even if some of the men she interacts with are harmless or try to be nice to her. In contrast, she is VERY into women and loves being around them much more, always vowing to protect them and only them in dangerous situations. She can be a bit of a handful due to being a very emotional person - sometimes not being able to read the room in some cases by accident - and very prejudice beliefs about men, but despite that, she still is super polite - regardless of their gender - and is willing to try to learn, especially being able to tolerate some boys, like Shuichi and Gonta.

As a remnant, she is DEEPLY infatuated by her darling Junko. So much so she wants her ALL to herself - so much so she absolutely DESPISES whenever the other remnants spend time with her (especially if it's Angie and her cult dedicated to Junko). Because Tenko is all Junko needs, right? Why would anyone else be needed; isn't Tenko enough? She trained so much in order to be Junko's bodyguard! Anything she needs, she will do! Even if it means her life will be on the line

Angie Yonaga is a character of Danganronpa: V3, and her title is the Ultimate Artist. This quirky and zany young artist is very spiritual and faithful, always preaching and praising her belief in her god, Atua. Angie is extremely energetic and cheerful, always thinking positive, and an unbreakable smile even if things get serious and dower. Due to her extreme and strong faith and devotion to her god, Angie is able to be unusually calm and unfazed in situations one would consider be panic enducing and frightening, to the point of appearing unnaturally cheerful and out of touch with reality. She doesn't even seem to be frightened about death, partially due to her belief in Atua and that she'd be welcomed by him with open arms in the afterlife. even afraid of death as she believes that Atua would welcome her in the afterlife and, for similar reasons. Unlike most, Angie tends to put herself before others. Even if she means well, she can be quite manipulative and pushy about her religious beliefs in order for others to do things for her while claiming it's what Atua wants, and also stating those who don't follow his orders will be punished. Though she can be pretty selfish and manipulative, it doesn't seem to be out of malicious intent and she does want to encourage and guide her friends through her words, and doesn't hold grudges when others betray her, like Tenko.

When becoming a remnant, any belief in Atua she had previously is now lost. Her religious antics are turned up all the way up to eleven... but in the name of Junko and the desire to spread her beliefs of spreading despair to the world. Even though Angie can still her old god... Junko's voice just powers over him. And Angie willingly decides to stomp down her belief and block out Atua's voice as much as she can, plunging herself into deeper despair as Junko's voice envelopes her whole. Junko is practically her new goddess in Angie's eyes, and any art piece she creates is always dedicated to her in one way or another.

For her voice, it's heavily implied that Angie is Polynesian! So I definitely would want her to have a Polynesian accent when speaking. I definitely also think her upbeat and happy personality still shows even as a remnant, so be sure to encapsulate that as well!

Himiko Yumeno is a character of Danganronpa: V3, and her title is the Ultimate Magician, but she dubs herself as the Ultimate Mage. Due to the teachings by her master, she believes the magic tricks she performs is legitimate magic… despite being only seen performing “ordinary” or typical stage magic tricks. But when people point it out or say magic isn’t real, she tends to become pouty and annoyed and claims that her “tricks” are actual magic. But when pressed to perform “real” magic as she claims, she tends to back down and claim she’s low on MP or manna. Despite being really gung-ho about her beliefs in magic, Himiko is quite lazy and slouchy, constantly seemingly tired/disinterested in everything that doesn’t involve magic, and refuses to do work because it’s “such a pain.” In some ways, she’s meant to be an opposite of Tenko, who is very infatuated with her, much to Himiko’s discomfort at first. But with the help of both Angie and Tenko, they begin to help her and say it’s completely okay to express her emotions and finding a way to stay motivated during the tough times, Himiko eventually begins to become more sure of herself, and opens up more to her classmates and more willing to participate in activities she’d probably try to ignore before.

Himiko is one of the last few V3 students to fall into despair. By this point, she’s been very lonely since the people she’d usually hang around - Angie, Tenko, and Shuichi to a lesser degree - have been avoiding her or have spent more time with Junko. Though Himiko tried her hardest to try and not let them ignoring her get too into her head and she tried her hardest not to care and think to herself she’d be better off alone and without them, the worries and thoughts began to bubble up more and more, and it eventually would mess with her mind. She didn’t want to have those thoughts, but the more time she spent alone, the more the apathy, nothingness, and apathy began to sink in and warp her. And once that set in, so did the despair. And Junko, the manipulative witch she is, swooped in to her rescue. As a remnant, she no longer thinks of herself as a magician.. But more of an evil sorceress, claiming her magic is part of the reason why this world is now in utter disarray. I also like to think she begins to look into darker practices in order to “power up her manna,” and maybe even perform magic shows with “audience participation” and working in a similar manner to the shows Ibuki and Saionji would put on when they were despairs.

Only thing to note is that Himiko tends to speak at a slow pace - it doesn’t have to be overly drawn out, but just enough that could be able to encapsulate her lazy, mysterious, and somewhat laid back personality.

Korekiyo Shiguji, commonly referred to as Kiyo, is a character of Danganronpa: V3, and his title is the Ultimate Anthropologist.

Kiyo is quite often perceived as aloof and downright creepy by most, yet very intelligent, polite, and able to keep a cool head and calm mind. Thanks to his studies in anthropology, he's able to stay calm and composed in most dire situations and not get overly emotional, often seeing these stations as a time to observe how different people will react to these situations. During the Killing Game, he observes other students with great interest in seeing "what kind of beauty" they will display as humans under such dire and tense circumstances, seemingly not caring about their safety. Kiyo sometimes gets so absorbed in his anthropology studies it seems like he is not as interested or aware of those around him. Due to this behavior and intimidating appearance, he is often perceived as a disturbing and creepy person, though he attempts to reassure his classmates he doesn't mean any harm and merely wishes to observe them in their daily life. This doesn't mean he isn't able to experience panicked emotions, though. 

KEY NOTE: As most DrV3 fans know, Kiyo in canon is written and heavily implied to have a more "intimate" relationship with his older sister. In this AU, however, this has been changed. While his backstory is mainly unchanged and Kiyo still is very fond of his older sister, he doesn't have any romantic or intimate feelings for her whatsoever.

Kirumi Tojo is a character of Danganronpa: V3, and her title is the Ultimate Maid. As implied from her title, Kirumi is a mature, polite, and refined young woman, described to be a “professional” and “perfect” in her field of work. Having a keen/observant mind and meticulous intellect, while having the strength and competitive capabilities to protect herself and her employers, she is known to be very skilled and talented in many other fields that aren’t related to being a maid. As a maid, she has her own form of faith: what she calls her “selfless devotion.” She has a strong sense of duty and justice, willing to work and help others no matter the situation, even doing so during the killing game - during mealtimes, she’d always prepare both Japanese, other Eastern, and Western cuisines in the very case someone doesn’t like a certain food, ingredient, or allergy - she is that meticulous, thoughtful, and thorough in her work. And in order to protect the people that need and care about her, she is willing to do anything for them… even if it means committing “immoral” acts in the process and needing to bear the burden in the aftermath, and cracking under the pressure of being backed into a corner.

However, this does come at a bit of a cost - because of her “selfless devotion” and her desire to complete as many requests as she possibly can, Kirumi has grown so selfless to the point she lacks the concept and/or need to do things for herself - sometimes even shifting casual conversations or what would be a scenario of friends hanging out together into asking if her friends need anything from her, only seeing herself as a maid to serve and doesn’t sees her opinions to be of importance as long her friends or employers are happy/satisfied with her work (even though her classmates and friends don’t just see her as such, and try to have her feel included or be apart of things not because it’s a “request” but because Kirumi is their friend). This being said, she does have her limits in requests and how people see her. For example, despite being the “mom” of the group, she dislikes it when people call her or ask her to be “their mom” because of her Ultimate Title as a maid and because of her “motherly” instincts and mannerisms, since it can sometimes be seen as an insult to some women (in this case, including herself). Additionally, she’ll refuse to do sexual services, anything deemed too difficult or impossible for her alone to accomplish (ex. Destroying a whole nation - yes, she was asked to do that), or unfairly removing someone from an area if they haven’t done anything wrong.

Now, Kirumi is one of the last few of her classmates to fall into despair - which is how Junko planned it to be. As more of the V3 class fell into despair, they’d begin to push Kirumi’s buttons and sanity by pushing as many requests onto her as possible. Would be an easy task: afterall, these lazy bums already rely on Kirumi a bunch for sometimes needless things, right? Well, thanks to Junko’s manipulation onto her fellow classmates + through interacting with Kirumi herself, and because of taking on a very daunting request on the side for the prime minister, the poor maid eventually and slowly cracks under all the pressure; even a strong-willed woman like her can only take so much for so long… she is still human after all. So eventually, she snaps: “Fine… if everyone does truly want me to do everything… then I will… I’ll do everything, for EVERYONE…!”

As a despair, Kirumi has risen up as a totalitarian dictator alongside the remnants. She controls any and every aspect of her citizen’s lives, bullet point by bullet point. Down to every little detail the eye could find - and that's her source of despair - still overworking herself to the bone by managing her citizens' lives, and making her citizens follow HER orders, and not the other way around.

As for her voice, I’m kinda looking for a somewhat “middle ground” for her! I think both VA’s captured Kirumi’s character and emotions to a T! My only gripe is that I felt Kirumi’s English voice seemed a bit too high, while her Japanese voice seemed a bit too low for her age. So I think finding a middle ground for her voice would be perfect!

Ryoma Hoshi is a character of Danganronpa: V3, and his title is the Ultimate Tennis Pro… at least, that’s who he claims he used to be. Despite his short stature and younger appearance, Ryoma has some sort of “coolness” and attitude that most high schoolers wouldn’t have - which is heightened by his very deep and more mature voice. This isn’t how he entirely was, though. After he had took down and killed an entire mafia organization on his very own in retaliation for murdering his girlfriend and family, he’s become what he refers as “an empty shell of who he used to be” and a killer; just a person a typical person wouldn’t want to surround themselves with or get close to, but doesn’t do so in an aggressive or rude way. However, he has warned he isn’t one to trifle with - despite not being very aggressive or lash out, he is willing to result to violence if he really believes that a person deserves and will give those that cross him a piercing, icy glare as a warning to back off - he did take down a whole mafia, after all. Because of this, when stumbling upon a body, he’s one of - if not the only - calmest and undisturbed person in the group, though it’s not because he condones it - in fact, he would never support nor condone something so “uncool.”

Because of his very dark and troubled past, he tends to push people away because he doesn’t want anyone to grow close to him since he knows he will die soon as he’s sentenced to death row for murder. Especially due to his dark past, he’s become withdrawn, depressed, and borderline suicidal, showing little regard for his life and is even willing to offer himself as a first kill during the first chapter’s First Blood Perk motive if it means one of the others could escape the school and call for help. He’s especially stayed away from tennis since being imprisoned, since it was his skills as a tennis player that had helped him take down the mafia organization that wronged him.

Despite his claims for being his old self’s “empty shell,” it seems like deep down, he really misses his time on the court and does want to play again despite having very little time left. You could say “old habits die hard” for the young man, as he still has this passion for playing the sport that earned him his Ultimate Title, has a deep love and care for animals -especially cats and other felines - and will always do anything to save an injured critter, has a deep sense of empathy for his classmates, and though tends to be realistic and not hopeful, still has his kindness shine through for these people, like Kaede. Ryoma is very logical and down to earth, willing to share deep, reassuring, positive, and/or excellent advice for people that need it, possibly implying that he really does have some faith and will for life after all. One of the more observant and quick-witted members of the group, he’s able to put trust in his classmates during the trials, though won’t be afraid to speak up if he has doubts and keep a cool and calm head. He’s even willing to immediately apologize if he’s ever incorrect.

Like some of the other characters, a bit of tweaking to his backstory was done for him to fall to despair - his canonical backstory is already heartbreaking and despairing, right? So in this AU, instead of the attack on his family happening in the past (before meeting his classmates), it would happen DURING the turning of his classmates. So when a few of his classmates were already in despair, his loved one’s were all alive and well. However, as this happens, the mafia would kill his loved ones, Ryoma breaks down in a fit of despairing rage, then kills those mafia members as an act of revenge, and then is arrested and convicted for their deaths and the deaths of Kaito’s grandparents and DICE (but the despairs already know he isn’t the perpetrator for the two latter incidents). Either way, Ryoma has completely succumbed to despair at this point. Once freed from prison before/during the tragedy and joins his class as Remnants, he plays the role of Kuzuryu when he was a despair - becoming a mob boss of the largest mafia in the country and in charge of the same people that took his family, girlfriend, and essentially, his life away from him.

Rantaro Amami is a character of Danganronpa: V3, and his title is unknown. Rantaro is considered to be a very "mysterious" guy to most of his classmates - both due to his unknown talent (that he can't even remember), keen insight and intellect, determination, huge sense of adventure and travel, and ability to stay surprisingly calm in tense situations. Sometimes when he gets serious, his demeanor and expressions can even become borderline creepy to some. However, when you get to know him more, he's actually very carefree and relaxed - maybe considered on of the more "ordinary" students. Due to his mostly chill and mellow attitude, he's able to be patient with his more lively and eccentric classmates, and generally reliable in chaotic situations.

Makoto Naegi is the main character in Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc and Danganronpa 3: Future Arc, and his title is the Ultimate Lucky Student, and labeled to most as the Ultimate Hope. According to Makoto himself, he’s considered a very ordinary person - to the point it’s something he can be a bit insecure about, especially when surrounded by a bunch of Ultimate students. According to his classmates, Makoto is a very supportive, forgiving, and kind guy to talk to - he seems to be one of the more down to earth people in his class, and considered a person that can befriend anyone and everyone around him, even the most antisocial members of his class. However, his kind heart can also lead him to be pretty naive at points. He’s also pretty pacifistic in nature - he’s a bit of a pushover and can be really jumpy and easily startled, never resulting to violence. But despite that, Makoto is a very determined and charismatic speaker when he can be, and because of his optimistic and positive mental attitude, is why people label him as the Ultimate Hope and never vows to give in to despair or to Junko’s ideologies. In fact, Junko is seemingly the only person that Makoto genuinely dislikes because of her title as the Ultimate Despair. So even if others succumb to the despair, he’s very forgiving and willing to help them from that despair. However, it’s to note that his title as the “Ultimate Hope” is just that: a title. After all, he isn’t immune to the effects of the suicide video Junko used on the Reserve course, and eventually used by the traitor in Future Arc. So it is possible for Makoto to feel despair, it’s extremely hard for him to fall into it.

Kyoko Kirigiri is a character in Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, and her title is the Ultimate Detective. Aloof and mysterious, Kyoko is a young woman who tends to keep her feelings to herself at almost all times - this was because of how closed-off and strict her grandfather was when he raised her, even to the point of not saying goodbye to her deceased mom and raised to dislike her father, implanting the idea that their detective work should always come first. Though she never agreed with this “family tradition,” it still caused her to become very distant and quiet as she grew up. As a detective, she’s able to keep a calm demeanor and stay unfazed when discovering a dead body, and her keen intellect makes her a key member during class trials. Before becoming friends with Naegi, she was completely closed off from her classmates - she’d usually work and investigate by herself, and try to limit interactions at most so she stays focused on the task at hand. However, as she worked together alongside Makoto more and more, slowly but surely opens up and began expressing more positive emotions when around him or her fellow surviving classmates. Sure, she remains her usual stoic and reserved self when around others, but she has come a long way from how she was before. Apparently, she tries to hide her emotions behind a sort of “mask” as a way so she isn’t easy to read for others, and to give the people she meets a calm and composed role model to lean on when needed. That being said, she can sometimes let this mask slip when she feels her emotions get the best of her - especially if her friends are trying to keep secrets from her.

In the THH Remnant AU, Kiri is essentially the second-in-command for Junko, and the de facto leader of the remnants when Junko dies in the killing game with the 77th class (yep, class 77 and class 78 essentially swap places here!) However, she isn’t as focused on spreading despair like her classmates - her main goal? To take down the Future Foundation - the remnant’s top tier enemy. She’s less hands-on unlike most of the others, usually manipulating and controlling things in the shadows and background, keeping her identity very low so she doesn’t get caught.

I definitely think the deeper and more stoic voice like in the ENG version of the game fits her the most well, but when it comes to being around Makoto or her friends, I think something close to her ENG anime voice and JPN game voice fits super well also!

Komaru Naegi is the main protagonist in Danganronpa: Ultra Despair Girls, and she possesses no Ultimate title since she never attended Hope’s Peak. Just like her older brother Makoto, Komaru has a very optimistic and outgoing personality. Similarly, she considers herself a very ordinary girl in comparison to others. However, differently to Makoto, she’s much more hypersensitive, a bit cowardly, and jumpy, and isn’t as gung-ho or as hopeful. But with encouragement, she’s able to fight on her own and find the strength to find her family. She’s also quite childish and naive, as she’s sometimes not able to distinguish if someone’s telling the truth about something that’s obviously fake (which Toko does sometimes tease her about). She also seems pretty innocent, not interested in romance or sexual topics, in contrast to Toko. While kind, she isn’t the greatest at being able to relate or empathize with certain people or subjects because of how ordinary her own life was, but she does try her best to do so and be as supportive as she can. However, Komaru herself seems to have unusual traits, such as having the ability to sense ghosts. Despite being a bit childish, she can be serious when needed.

Unlike Makoto, she doesn't have any interest in hope or despair. She tends to waver between the two due to being imprisoned (partially because of the very first motive in Dr:THH). She doesn't want to experience intense feelings of hope out of fear of feeling even worse despair if things turn for the worse. At the start. she experiences heavy self-esteem issues and believes herself to be boring and weak. However, as she gets to know Toko and fights along her side, she's able to find strength in fighting for the side of hope.

Nothing to note about her voice; I think each interpretation fits her very well.

Sayaka Maizono is a character in Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, and her title is the Ultimate Pop Sensation. Sayaka is a cheerful and sweet young woman with a sharp intuition. According to Makoto, Sayaka has the appearance of a beautiful porcelain doll, and an alluring and charming aura that seems to entrance him whenever they interact. Sayaka also seems to have a playful and teasing side to her as well, as she can seemingly always guess whatever Makoto is thinking, first claiming she’s a psychic, only to giggle it off and say she was joking with him and says it’s just her keen intuition. She also seems to be quite observant as well, as she was able to remember that she and Makoto went to the same middle school, despite never interacting or being in the same class. Sayaka is someone who just seems to have an aura that makes those around her feel calmer and at ease, especially since she as a sweet and polite manner with “one of the nicest smiles” one could see - although, it’s noted that some believe that it’s just because of her status as a top idol. Even so, she seems to really care deeply for her friends - especially Makoto and her fellow idol members. She cares so deeply in fact, she’s willing to get her hands dirty if it means she could protect them. When push comes to shove, she will begin to even commit risky actions if it means she can achieve her goals, hence why she was so desperate to even betray Makoto if it meant she could escape the school to save her idol members from an implied tragic fate. But even though she did plan to betray her friend, she’s still willing to come up with last minute plans if it means she could save him.

Sayaka as a remnant is pretty straight forward: Like Ibuki/Saionji and Remnant!Kaede, uses her status and skills as a popular idol to influence and brainwash her massive fanbase into despair - kind of like a siren. I like to think she'd still try to uphold her sweet appearance, but also have this toxic/sinister aura swirling around her as well as she sometimes says the most horrendous things in such an innocent sing-song voice. TOKO FUKAWA

Toko Fukawa is a character in Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc and a main character in DR: Ultra Despair Girls, and her title is the Ultimate Writing Prodigy. Toko calls herself a “gloomy outcast” - despite being relatively intelligent, she has difficulty in social situations and often tries to distance herself from being around other people. Because of severe bullying and abuse she experienced as a young girl, Toko has developed extremely bad paranoia, and as a result,  is highly suspicious of the people around her, always jumping to the conclusion and accusing them of thinking badly of her and accusing some boys of “undressing her with his eyes.” She tends to be a bit of an “open book,” expressing her opinions very freely and sometimes without a second thought - this causes people to think of her as mean or blunt, yet she tries to feign it as her being honest , even if it rubs them the wrong way. She also tends to be very self-deprecating and victimizing of herself, while also being very self-conscious about her body and appearance. However, after spending time with Komaru - Makoto’s younger sister - and helping her escape Towa City, Toko has shown to have greatly matured and become more caring of others. She still has her gloomy and pessimistic personality, but thanks to her fellow surviving classmates, she’s grown up to become more open and willing to help others in need, and finally finding herself a true friend in Komaru. She’s grown up in between the two games to the point that she was able to overcome fainting at the sight of blood - something we see occur during THH. Though she still gets grossed out and sickened at large amounts of blood, she’s able to tough it out and not faint at the sight of it.

GENOCIDE JACK

Genocide Jack, also known as Genocider Syo in the anime, is a character in Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc and a main character in DR: Ultra Despair Girls, Toko’s alter, and her title is the Ultimate Murderous Fiend. Unlike Toko, Jack is a very loud and outgoing girl, often laughing at sometimes nothing and giving somewhat bizarre nicknames to her classmates, and loves to joke around, even situations it really isn’t wanted. But given her Ultimate title - which could’ve been self proclaimed by Jack herself - it’s somewhat to be expected that she wouldn’t take situations such as murder too seriously. This silliness can often lead to her being a bit lewd and inappropriate at times, sometimes poking fun at Asahina’s figure, and even goes as far as to say she’s a self-proclaimed “fujoshi” that she only targets “cute” men that “turn her on.” According to both Toko and Jack, they both are able to share their emotions together, but not share their memories. It explains that they both have sadistic and masochistic traits, both have feelings for Byakuya, and other traits. It also explains why Toko had her memories of their school years stolen, but Jack remembers what happened - since they share knowledge and emotions, but not their memories. So when they do switch whoever is fronting, they both show genuine confusion on where they are at that moment, but Jack is able to roll with it. Despite her goofy nature, she does have moments where she can become serious.According to one of the official artbooks, Jack’s personality can be described as, "her attitude can switch between serious and crazy in an instant." This can be shown with how she acts quite annoyed and upset with Komaru at first, not understanding why she’d want to be friends with a serial killer like herself. But as time goes on, she eventually warms up to her classmate's younger sister and even considers her a friend. Unlike Toko, who dislikes her alter because of her murderous tendencies, Jack seems to have some respect for her alter. Either way, Komaru’s friendship has impacted both personalities positively. It’s even implied that Jack has dropped her bloodthirst and no longer kills “handsome men.”

I think when it comes to their voices, I really am leaning towards their game voices a bit more in the case of tone/pitch, because I think the slightly deeper voice fits her pretty well. However, I really LOVED the rendition for Geno. Jack in the anime when it comes to mannerisms and personality, so I think something in between for Jack would work perfectly!

When it comes to the THH Remnant AU, while Toko would’ve fallen into despair, Jack will not. As the tragedy went on, Jack has protected Komaru from the other remnants, unbeknownst to them and even Makoto (who is on the brink of breaking, but isn’t actually a despair. Jack had apparently found out that Junko and the others were planning on using Komaro as the “final push” to break Makoto into despair, and before they could, had saved Komaru and is keeping watch/protecting her, while trying to be careful to not have the others or even Toko herself finding out - Toko is a fellow remnant after all, so her finding out if she were to front at some point while they were together would NOT end well for the Naegi’s at all.

As for Toko, she’s in charge of spreading propaganda through her talent as a writer, and as a source of despair, CONSTANTLY overworks herself to the bone.

Though I prefer that their voices stay relatively similar, this role may be dual-casted - one person voicing as Toko and the other voicing Geno. Jack.

Byakuya Togami is a character in Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, and his title is the Ultimate Affluent Prodigy. Byakuya is a cold and self-centered person who is very reserved. He is not interested in co-operating with others due to his own sense of self-superiority, and his opinion that others are, on the whole, lesser than him. This sense of superiority and black-and-white worldview comes as a result of his upbringing; Byakuya had to prove his worth in battle against his siblings to earn his role in the family as heir-apparent, whereas all his other siblings who lost the battle were effectively ex-communicated from the family and cut off financially. Because Byakuya was raised in such a highly competitive environment of "haves" and "have-nots", he thinks all people only think about themselves and dismisses emotional ties as petty and unimportant. Due to his lack of emotional ties with the other students, Byakuya was able to emotionally distance himself from the horrors of the Killing School Life and thus proved to be one of the most competent and insightful investigators in the group due to his high level of intelligence. His compulsive competitiveness caused him to treat the Killing School Life as simply a game, and one he fully intended to win, just as he had won his battle to become the head of the Togami family - much to the disgust of the other students. Byakuya's emotional detachment and lack of empathy towards others sometimes made it very difficult for him to understand the reasoning for why people would behave altruistically or based on pure emotion; this came to a head during the case of Sakura Ogami's death, where he could not understand why someone would be willing to give her life to save their friends, or why Aoi Asahina would be willing to sacrifice herself and the others' lives purely to avenge Sakura's memory. This detachment would thus sometimes make him zero in on red-herring suspects and aggressively pursue them simply because he could not imagine an emotionally driven motive. Sakura's case acted as a real turning point in Byakuya's approach to the Killing School Life, going from treating the other students as his enemies in the game, to focusing his energy on identifying and destroying the Mastermind. Byakuya can sometimes appear comical due to how serious and dramatic he can be with his words and belief in his superiority and how it frustrates the other students, and especially with his interactions with Toko or Genocide Jack. He constantly referred to the other students as "amoebas" and "plebeians". It also appears that he was taught strict manners by his family, as in the first game he refused to use swear words and once said "effing" to avoid repeating Mondo's language, and is generally disgusted by vulgar words and behavior, and anything he considers barbaric. Due to his unusual upbringing, it's been shown that he has a bit of poor knowledge of certain things that are considered common knowledge. He is confused by the idea of people making their own food, as his food is always prepared by a chef, and he doesn't know what toy vending machines are. Despite his cold attitude, he does not look down on his many half-siblings, instead feeling some respect towards them. Despite still maintaining his cold and dismissive demeanor towards others, the Killing School Life did appear to alter his worldview and make him more respectful and cooperative with others, though still denies that they are his friends.   

However, his newly developed sense of respect for others did not appear to ever extend towards Toko Fukawa. Toko and her alter ego Genocide Jack, developed an extremely unhealthy obsession and attraction Byakuya not long after meeting him, and she began stalking him and calling him her "Master". Her feelings were entirely unreciprocated. Byakuya was disgusted by her, particularly because she rarely bathed. Byakuya normally distanced himself from others by insulting them, but this trait attracted Toko even more, openly inviting him to debase and degrade her and perceiving it as simply a "lover's quarrel", which made him unable to shake her off. His attitude towards Toko highlighted his manipulative streak, taking advantage of Toko's obsession to make her do menial tasks for him while having so little respect for her that he outed her identity as Genocide Jack to Makoto and the others almost as soon as she revealed her secret to him in confidence. Unlike the other survivors, his opinion of her did not soften after the Killing School Life ended, although he did appear increasingly apathetic towards her rather than combative - even after Toko helps to rescue Byakuya from being held captive by the Warriors of Hope. However, while later discussing the events with Makoto, he accepts that he owes a debt to Toko and Komaru for saving him.

Chihiro Fujisaki is a character in Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, and their title is the Ultimate Programmer. Chihiro is very smart and intellectual, but also timid and meek. They’re an extremely kind and sweet person - one of the kindest characters in the Danganronpa franchise - that people claim they wouldn’t even hurt a fly. They tend to be very jumpy and quick to drive to tears because of their shy and meek personality, even if it wasn’t their fault to begin with. They just want to be able to have fun with their friends, and tend to get panicky and scared when they get into arguments. Sometimes, they’ve always wished they were able to be stronger so they could be able to protect their friends better, and it’s a goal they strive for with the help of their classmates. However, what they don’t have in strength, it makes up for their keen intellect. As the Ultimate Programmer, they were able to create their own Alter Ego. However, they began to worry that if people found out that they were a boy dressing as a girl, the bullying would be way worse than before. So once entering Hope’s Peak, they made a vow to themselves that once building the courage, they’ll reveal the truth to everyone.

I wanted to bring this up because I’m sure there will be debate about it. While I also have my own thoughts and headcanons about it, I won’t push them onto the group as that is what they are - headcanons. Yes, Chihiro is canonically born male, but that doesn’t stop the fact Chihiro’s story is heavily based on the trope of a “tr*p” being problematic, and borderline transphobic (at least to me). Everyone is free to have their own headcanons on Chihiro’s gender identity for this project, and I will not force my headcanons to conflict with yours - everyone has their own headcanons and that is totally valid! With that said, I will be mainly referring to Chihiro with they/them (and occasionally he/him) pronouns. Hope that is okay with everyone! Aoi Asahina is a character in Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, and her title is the Ultimate Swimmer. Asahina is a cheerful and upbeat girl with a very friendly and welcoming attitude with everyone she meets. She can be a bit of an air-head and quite forgetful, sometimes falling easily for the culprit’s tricks and taking things at face value quite often. Despite that, she’s an extremely athletic swimmer who loves to exercise and is also a skilled runner thanks to her athleticism, quickly running through halls even with Makoto on her back in Dr3 - Despair Arc, showing she’s also pretty strong. However, she can feel a bit insecure about her status as an athlete because she fears that no one will like her for being into a more “masculine” activity and retaining her figure - especially because of her huge sweet tooth. Though possibly one of the franchise's most lively and happier students, her positive attitude is challenged in her killing game as it tests her outlook and relationships with others. Especially since after the death of her closest friend, Sakura (who committed suicide in Chapter 4 of THH to end the killing game), she nearly breaks into despair and is willing to get herself and her classmates killed if it means she’d avenge her friend after she was shunned for being exposed as a traitor. This shows her extreme loyalty to her friends and how she will do her hardest to protect them, and thanks to her other close friend Makoto’s encouragement and support, she will live on to honor and in memory of her friends who died.

When it comes to Aoi’s voice, I think her anime voice is my favorite interpretation! Especially when she begins breaking down in her darker moments. However, I think her other two voices are really good interpretations as well!

Sakura Oogami is a character in Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, and her title is the Ultimate Martial Artist. Though she has an extremely intimidating appearance, Sakura is a quiet, level-headed young woman with a heart of gold. She rarely breaks her composure and can retain a cool head and stay calm in harsh situations - though it’s not to say that she can’t be annoyed or upset. On the rare occurrence that she does lose her temper, though, she can be extremely terrifying when angered - though it usually happens when one of her friends or allies are hurt. But most of the time, Sakura is a caring and gentle person to be around, and extremely loyal to those she holds close to her heart to the point she’d even sacrifice her own life - especially for her dearest friend, Asahina. However, she does seem to have a bit of trouble socializing because of her aloof intimidating appearance, and spends most of her time training. Due to this, she doesn’t know much about modern/pop culture or just doesn’t like some, such as not liking action comics because of some inaccurate portrayals of martial arts.

Being raised in a more-or-less old-fashioned setting, Sakura tends to speak more formally in comparison to her classmates. As the heiress of her 300-year-old dojo, she believes it was destiny she was raised as a martial artist, and alongside training extremely hard in many forms of martial arts, she also has a love for nature and animals - particularly rabbits. She has a strong sense of being able to preserve her legacy and works extremely hard to become, “the Strongest Woman Alive.” But because of that, she tends to be a bit embarrassed that she has more “feminine” interests, has romantic feelings for her lover Kenshiro, and is softer than most people would assume, fearing that people will take her less seriously - though it seems like this was a struggle that she has grown out of and is not afraid to showcase her more feminine side during high school.

It’s honestly hard to say what I’d like for Sakura’s voice because I like different things about each of her voices. I think I’d like a tone/voice pitch close to her ENG Anime voice, but with delivery and an aloof tone similar to her ENG/JPN game voice respectively. I guess whatever you think might fit Sakura best, go for it!

Leon Kuwata is a character in Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, and his title is the Ultimate Baseball Star. Leon is a very passionate boy with hot blood running through his body. He’s a bit like a stereotypical teen, slacking off during school/study sessions, and even during baseball practices - he even goes far to say he hated practicing. Despite his talent, he says he never was a fan of baseball. He claims to never see any point/enjoyment in the sport, and since he was already talented in the sport, he never found any reason to practice because he was already too good at it and his skills never faltered if he stopped practicing - at least, according to him. Leon is quite egotistical in general, finding things that seem difficult to a normal person quite easy and doesn’t find empathizing with those without talent easy because of his ego. He’s always been interested in music, and if he had the chance to change his ultimate, he’d want to become the Ultimate Mucisian… despite not being that good at it. This dream is because he really does like the spotlight, and strives for popularity in the musical industry since he figured it would be able to make him popular with women he likes to call himself a “ladies’ man,” the egomaniac), and began growing more and more bitter and self-deprecating when people tell him to stick with what he’s good at. However, despite his disdain for the sport, a deep part of him does find some bit of enjoyment for the sport… even if he won’t admit it. According to the official artbook, Leon is an optimist who aims to strive in and grow to do good in everything he does, but can get easily intimidated when push comes to shove, and can get easily offended if someone talks smack about him.

Now as for his voice, I definitely want something like his anime voice! I think it fits him the most, but I also think his JPN game voice works well too! I think for when he’s more chill/casual, an in-between of both his game voices works well!

Mondo Oowada is a character in Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, and his title is the Ultimate Bike Gang Leader. Mondo has the traits of a stereotypical delinquent: foul-mouthed, intimidating, and not afraid to be mean when interacting with others. Mondo can be easy to provoke, but it’s not a good move to do as Mondo isn’t shy from resorting to violence if you make him impatient or piss him off. Similarly to Chihiro, he also has worries and self-doubt about being seen as weak; stemming back to when he was usually looked down on and seen as “second-best” in comparison to his gang’s previous and first leader: his older brother, Daiya Oowada. The two had engaged in a bike race and Mondo wanted to prove himself by pulling off dangerous stunts… which ultimately led to him being saved by Daiya from driving into a truck and killing him instead of Mondo. This accident is a constant burden and moment that haunts Mondo constantly, reminding himself that it was because of his weakness of feeling inferior that it ultimately led to his older brother’s death. To try to repress his guilt, he constantly tries to repeat to himself that he is strong in his head, but the accident is a constant reminder that interferes with it. He also tries to constantly mask himself when he feels sad or about to cry, fearing it’s a sign of weakness. So when he does feel emotional, he usually tries to eject himself from the conversation so others don’t see him in such a state and think less of him. However, thanks to people like Makoto, Ishimaru, and Chihiro, Mondo seems to become a little more open about his emotions and help him with his wishes of possibly trying to reform himself so he could make a difference without defaulting to feeling angry or to violence - especially so it’s easier for him to approach those that are meeker yet look up to him or girls that he likes and not spook them.

Now for his voice, I think when he gets extremely angry or intimidating, I’m leaning toward his anime voice. But during moments when he’s more vulnerable or a bit more chill, something like his game voice, ENG or JPN, works well too!!

Kiyotaka Ishimaru, often referred to as Taka, is a character in Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, and his title is the Ultimate Moral Compass. Befitting of the Ultimate Moral Compass, Kiyotaka is righteous and values order and rules above all else. He takes his role as a student very seriously, as shown when he gets upset that there are currently no classes going on during the Killing School Life. He is shown to be very polite and respectful, as in the original Japanese release, he addresses people, even girls with "-kun" honorifics. Because of his grandfather, he considers effort most important and he is a hard worker, believing that one can achieve anything through it. He views his grandfather with bitterness, but also pity. He considers geniuses his enemies because they don't understand the true value of effort. He also believes that people who are easily provoked to violence are cowards. Described as "enthusiastic to the point of being mad", Kiyotaka believes that every action must have a purpose and he hates wasting time. Fitting his talent, Kiyotaka often takes up and views himself as a leader, as seen when he organizes the morning meeting for the other students. However, he often isn't taken very seriously—due to his extreme dedication to studying and proper conduct, he could not even hold a "normal" conversation with another person, which becomes clear very soon if someone spends his free time with him. He is very expressive and intense in his manner of speech and is almost constantly shouting. Due to his lack of social skills, he often bursts out the first thing that comes to his mind and forces his values and beliefs on others, which he's aware of and feels guilty about. Possibly because of the lack of social interaction in his life, he can also be insensitive toward others at times, as evidenced at the beginning of Chapter 2, when he said that Makoto would not feel too comfortable sleeping in the same room with Sayaka Maizono's corpse. Nevertheless, Kiyotaka truly cares about his classmates. He is willing to take pragmatic approaches to avoid murder, such as offering to have everyone, starting with himself, reveal their secrets to avoid Monokuma's second incentive and naively thinking during the first trial the killer would raise their hand and reveal themselves to avoid said trial. Though he acts confidently and is quick to take the role of leadership, he suffers from low self-esteem at times and he is quite sensitive, sometimes crying very easily if he is shocked or touched by something. Inside, he wishes he could make friends and have someone to talk to, but he feels that he might be a nuisance to others, as he is stated to overreact to everything. Some of his other weaknesses appear to be his slight naivety and slow-wittedness, as he sometimes figures things out slower than most other students, and tricking him seems to be rather easy. One of his unique traits is also his belief that "when the body is naked, so is the soul", meaning that showing each other their naked bodies helps two men form mutual trust. Overall, Kiyotaka values bonds between men. The death of his first and best friend, Mondo, renders him in a state of shock and he becomes almost completely speechless and unresponsive. He only comes out of this state when seeing Alter Ego, to whom he apologizes for Mondo's actions.

Celestia Ludenburg is a character in Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, and her title is the Ultimate Gambler. Earning the nickname, “The Queen of Liars,” Celestia has a very collected and calm nature with a cunning yet level-headed way of thinking. She’s one of the more intelligent students in her class, and alongside Makoto, Togami, and Kirigiri, is one of the few people to stay on top of trials provide key points, and keep everyone focused. A skilled liar and manipulator, she’s able to manipulate people to do what she wants or deceive others with a completely straight face, making it hard to read or tell what she’s thinking behind her mostly stoic face. Her truer and more ambitious intentions are revealed in Chapter 3 after being revealed as the culprit, displaying she is willing to do whatever it takes to win - even if it means murdering or manipulating others in cold blood and has no problem sacrificing the others to do it, also revealing her selfish nature too. Her selfishness is also shown when revealing her motive of using the money Monokuma provided as a prize to fulfill her lifelong dream of living in a life of luxury in a European-styled castle. Even if pushed into a corner and revealing the cracks in her calm composure, she will refuse to surrender if it means she has even the slimmest chance of tasting victory, but if defeat is truly inevitable, she will gracefully accept it. She has a strong belief in the key to survival - she believes it's not the strongest nor the smartest that have the main characteristics to survive, but those who can adapt and blend in well with the environment around them. However, this could also have been a lie to hide her true emotions and her wanting to leave the school as well - she is the Queen of Liars after all, so she even claims that she can fool her emotions. Though she appears to lack empathy and emotions and does not feel guilt for her more nefarious actions, it can’t be said that she tries to bury her emotions deep down and lie to herself, and keep up the act. As said by Makoto, he could even feel the fear hidden behind Celestia’s final smile before she gets executed. However, like everything else we know about her, no one knows what she could be feeling - a personality befitting the consummate Queen of Liars.

She also tends to have quite strict and polished mannerisms and ways of thinking, possibly because of her refined and spoiled way of being raised and her aspirations of becoming the equivalent of European royalty (hence why she prefers to go by the name Celestia Ludenburg, and not her birthname Taeko Yasuhiro). Celestia likes masquerade and plays the identity of a Western Victorian woman, having a dainty and elegant aura surrounding her. She tends to speak softly and with a very polite and formal dialect, giving a small yet innocent and polite smile to perfect the imitation and etiquette of a “ladylike” Victorian woman. She even goes as far as to put on a European accent. However, since she has a pretty short fuse, this act can falter when she’s upset and defaults to angrily shouting and using vulgar language when she’s extremely riled up. 

For her voice, I definitely want to have her speak with a European accent since she does this canonically in the games! I think any European accent is fine, but I also feel like French, German, or Romanian accents specifically fit as well (so if anyone is bilingual with English and one of these languages, shoot your shot here! Depending on who is chosen I can even see if we can write in her speaking in one of these languages because I believe she’d put in the effort to learn the language to further play into her act). I think her more soft-spoken and slightly higher voice in the ENG Anime is more what I’m looking for in terms of pitch, but I definitely want her more serious and “elegant” tone and dialect to be emphasized like in the games.

Hifumi Yamada is a character in Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, and his title is the Ultimate Fanfic/Dojin Creator. Hifumi has a verbose manner of speaking, often going on long-winded tangents about his interests such as anime or fanfiction. He also tends to casually make creepy or perverted comments in the middle of conversations, especially about women. He can also be oblivious to how others perceive him, as shown when Toko says he smells like a "big fat ugly donkey" — he couldn't tell if that was an insult or a compliment. However, he also displays some intelligence, such as when he figures out one piece of Sayaka's dying message in the first trial. He also has late reactions to shocking events, as shown when Leon tries to pin the murder of Sayaka Maizono on him, and then again when Chihiro Fujisaki's true gender was exposed. He reacted calmly and was interested at first but then freaked out when he fully processed the situation. Hifumi is extremely passionate about anime and fanfiction and has little tolerance for anyone less dedicated to them than himself, calling them "slackers". His dream is to create a story so powerful it'll inspire others to create their own stories as well. He refers to others in a very formal manner, calling them "Ms." or "Mr." Last Name. In the original Japanese game, he uses the honorific suffix -dono as well as their full name.Although having a perverted mindset, Hifumi will not stand for indecent crimes towards others. He even went so far as to kill Kiyotaka due to believing that he had sexually assaulted Celestia, showing that while he has good intentions, he is somewhat gullible.

Yasuhiro Hagakure is a character in Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, and his title is the Ultimate Fortune Teller/Clarvoiyent. Yasuhiro is one of the more cheery, laid-back students, though a bit odd as well. However, he is generally not well-liked and he himself has openly admitted that he has no friends, is quite cowardly, lazy, slow-witted, and has a habit of acting selfishly. Notably, he is mentioned to be very clumsy with money and he has constant problems with massive debts. This trait is especially apparent when he stated that he bought his crystal ball (which is made of glass instead of crystal) at the price of 100 million yen due to it being used by famous figures in the past. He has also bought multiple items related to fortune-telling, despite not actually having any use for them. He tends to talk absurdly about subjects such as conspiracy theories and the one-time aliens stole his hamburger. However, he hates it if someone compares his fortune-telling to the occult, frequently insisting that they are not the same. He is also afraid of ghosts and would freak out if such a subject came up in a conversation. Whenever he "senses" one, he swiftly recites a chant, casts a spell, or begs for help from a hero, a god, or a famous person (often random, even multiple ones). Yasuhiro is quite gullible, and at first acts laid-back about the killing game, thinking it's some sort of a prank. However, after realizing it is real, he turns much more panicky and he is generally considered useless by the other students. However, he does treat his fellow classmates with general friendliness, going so far as to add the suffix "-chi", an affectionate term for dear friends in Japanese, to the end of everyone's last name. Yasuhiro has quite a cowardly personality and often attempts to trick other people into getting rid of his massive debts, charging incredibly high prices for his readings that, according to other people, often do not fit the accuracy of his fortune-telling. Yasuhiro also seems to possess a smarter, more cunning side despite regularly appearing slow-witted. During his Free Time Events, he attempts to get Makoto to donate his organs so he could pay off a debt without having to dip into his own savings so he could retire in comfort, which causes even the usually trusting Makoto to feel that he cannot let his guard down around Yasuhiro. In Chapter 4, he admits that he has no problem hitting girls who can't fight back and tries to frame Toko for the supposed murder when he thinks he killed Sakura. His attack on Sakura was due to impulsively lashing out due to his fear, but in the end, he takes responsibility for his actions. However, in a desperate move after joining Future Foundation and going on a mission in  Towa City, he pretended to be sick to run away on his own so he could steal valuable items from the area and try to pay off his debt. In Danganronpa 3, he appears slightly braver and shows concern for his friends when they are in trouble, generally feeling more genuine comradeship towards them than before. He manages to survive on his own for quite a while outside the building while being chased by helicopters and in the end, he runs to protect Makoto from brainwashed, armed men despite not having any weapons of his own (though he was followed by Byakuya and his men). It is also notable that while he acts similarly to a con artist, he does possess actual supernatural abilities, as he truly is capable of seeing visions of possible futures. However, it is unknown whether or not he can sense ghosts as he claims. Yasuhiro also has a strange tendency to survive tough situations against all odds. As a somewhat hidden side, he also displays amazing self-trained penmanship and a working knowledge of electronics.

HAJIME HINATA

Hajime Hinata is the main protagonist in Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, and he is one of the few characters to not possess any Ultimate talent. However, once fusing with Izuru Kamukura after exiting the Neo World Program, he also was able to possess Izuru’s abilities of using all known Ultimate talents that Hope’s Peak had researched. Unlike some of the other protagonists, Hajime is considered the more “cynical” and blunt out of all of them, but it’s better to call him a “realist.” He tends to be easily skeptical about abnormal situations, and quick to overthink if things are the tiniest ounce of suspicious. Despite his pretty serious personality, though, he is still able to joke around with his classmates and go along with their more “eccentric” personalities, even if it can make him feel a bit out of place. But because of his more serious and logical outlook, he isn’t afraid to make a few snarky comments to himself and act a bit sarcastic, and not afraid to speak his mind or snap back if you annoy him enough (and depending on who it is… it can be pretty easy). So he can be seen as a bit short-tempered and impatient to some of his classmates, especially when tired or under pressure. When pushed comes to shove, he can even resort to try to fight back physically (as seen in Dr3: Despair Arc when confronting Juzo), which the other protagonists would probably never do. Despite his more “negative” attitude in comparison to his fellow protagonists and realistic views, in reality, he’s a good guy at heart and extremely thoughtful for others, and does genuinely care for them when in trouble. According to the artbook, he likes to try to spend time or talk with anyone, regardless of gender. He also seems to be quite skilled to listening to other people’s problems and providing good advice when needed - Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu even said he could be the Ultimate Counciler based on this trait. Because of these traits, some of his friends have even teasingly referred to him as a “tsundere.” Despite not talking about it much and his attempts to hide it, Hajime is super insecure about his lack of talent - especially being surrounded by a bunch of Ultimate students. So when attending Hope’s Peak as a Reserve Course student (meant for students with no talents), he becomes even more insecure and bitter about this. However, Chiaki Nanami reassures him that he’s able to, and should, live life as he want’s to - talent or no talent, which has helped Hajime a lot.

IZURU KAMUKURA (CW: Human experimentation) 

Izuru Kamukura is one of the main antagonists in Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, and his title is the Ultimate Hope. Izuru was created by Hope’s Peak Academy by using Hajime Hinata, a Reserve Course student, as essentially a “lab rat” to research their plan of artificially creating talent and implanting it into a person who lacks talent. Because of his admiration for Hope’s Peak, and because of how people treated him during his time at the Reserve Course, Hajime finally snapped and decided to offer himself to “be their hope.” Exploiting his feelings for the sake of experimentation, they suppressed everything that made Hajime himself - they surgically excised his senses, emotions, thoughts, and hobbies. Whatever they deemed to be an “interference,” they suppressed deep into the darkest recesses of his mind, including his memories of his past life. 

Izuru is a very cold, quiet, and emotionless person, finding everything in life dull and predictable: in his words, “how boring.” Though he does have some somewhat “polite” tendencies to some, 99% of the time, he’s extremely stoic and nonchalant. According to Izuru himself, he was taught to despise people without talent, claiming theyre all “parasites” that leech off of the talented. Because of his immense boredom and lack of empathy or apathy, he’s able to witness even the most grusome things without being the slightest bit unfazed, such as the tragedy and Chisa’s brainwashing. Due to this immense boredom, he is interested in unpredictability as it may cause him to feel more emotional, but in the end, he always defaults back to feeling bored again - which is probably why Izuru first went along with Junko’s plan on the tragedy. However, as time went on, it’s revealed that despite feeling sympathy for others, Izuru doesn’t agree nor support Junko’s enjoyment and thriving on the suffering for others - possibly one of the reasons he then became an “observer” of the tragedy=y instead of an active participant, though was still classified as a remnant. However, because of Hajime’s attachment to Chiaki in his past life, Izuru does express some interest in her and the only person he actively somewhat mourns for during the tragedy, sheding tears when she dies (unbeknownst to why Izuru does it) and holding onto her hairpin.

FUSED HAJIME HINATA

At the end of Dr3: Hope Arc, It is revealed that after fusing with Izuru Kamukura after exiting the Neo World Program, he decided to live on as who he was before - Hajime Hinata. With that, he preserves his memories and recovers the old ones that he lost before becoming Izuru Kamukura. However, it seems like the two personalities of Hajime and Izuru have mixed together. While mostly behaving and acting as the Hajime he was and carrying his name, he does still tend to get easily bored and can game moments of not feeling any emotion. But for the most part, the person we see is the Hajime Hinata we all know and love.

Honestly, I'm fine with all of the interpretations for his voice here - all of his VA's did great and I think they all suit Hajime super well! So go crazy!

Gundham Tanaka is a character in Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, and his title is the Ultimate Breeder. Coming off as self-centered and aloof at a first glance, Gundham has an extremely “dark” and eccentric personality, constantly putting on a dramatic voice and having mannerisms and speaking in a way reminiscent of a cartoon supervillain. He also seems to suffer delusions stemming from some form of an inferiority complex, and/or chuunibyou syndrome. This is theorized because of how he constantly claims to be gifted by evil powers coming from the underworld and labeling himself as, “The Supreme Overlord of Ice.” He usually prefers to spend time alone, taking care of his Devas of Destruction (his hamsters) and doing his own thing. However, it’s hinted that behind his heavy pride and shuns his classmates so he wouldn’t be surrounded by “mere mortals,” it may be a mask to hide his loneliness that he tries to hide away from his classmates, possibly fearing if he slips up on his character, he’ll be seen differently and as weak. It also conceals his softer and more sensitive side, which can be seen when he spends time with Sonia Nevermind. It’s also hinted that he has issues with physical contact and socializing (possibly using his whole character as a coping mechanism). When talking to Sonia or Hajime, he explains he’s always been strict about not wanting to be touched nor touch other people, claiming his skin is “poisonous.” Despite his awkwardness, and due to his ultimate, he is extremely good with animals, calling them “evil minions” to keep up with the villainous overlord persona he puts on. He claims his love for animals stems from his belief that things that talk “will eventually betray you,” suggesting he has experienced being hurt by others during his childhood, and finds comfort and trust in animals because of their loyalty, and because of his love for them and his Ultimate talent, is a huge advocate for animals and is willing to teach others how to take care of different animals properly. Along with his love for nature, he also has great respect and interest in nature in general and hates mankind for how they are interfering and destroying it for selfish reasons. He also has a strong outlook on life: he believes giving up on life is “blasphemous by nature and oneself,” and is even willing to fight with “Mechamaru” in a duel if it means reviving everyone’s will to survive… which would end up in the latter’s murder. Unlike most of the killers we’ve seen, Gundham is one of the few who is quicker to admit defeat and come clean to what he’s done (kinda similar to Mondo and Kaede in a way in this regard). It’s hinted he felt conflicted in committing his murder if it meant he’d have to sacrifice the friends he had grown fond of while on Jabberwock Island: his final words to the remaining seven suggest he killed Mechamaru so the others wouldn’t starve to death, but because he wants to commit to his persona, he doesn’t admit it.

While not much information is known about what he did as a remnant or if his personality changed as a remnant, it’s implied that Remnant!Gundham had used his talent to control the wildlife around him and lead large armies of wild animals. His design shows that he’s restrained in a straightjacket and is nearly always seen with his eyes closed. It may be meant to symbolize a state of spiritual confinement (his arms restrained in an “X” formation over his chest), self-loathing, and immense pain.

I think all of Gundhams voices work well! So any one of these interpretations for your auditions will be fine with me - go wild! (and id like to take a moment to praise our lord and savior Chris Tergliafera :) he’s such a cool guy and as i was looking for gundham’s lines i saw that chris - the ENG VA for him in the games - and i loved every minute of them,, love ya chris please stay awesome)

Kazuichi Souda is a character in Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, and his title is the Ultimate Mechanic. Kazuichi is a bit of an emotional firecracker. Though he tries to act as a smooth and carefree guy, he tends to be very jumpy, gets scared easily, compulsive, and cowardly. He’s often described as having a bit of a garish and intimidating appearance, which conflicts with his loud and jumpy personality. He tends to speak with a bit of an unfiltered mouth, is not afraid to drop a few curses when speaking often speaks without thinking beforehand, and isn’t the brightest bulb in the shed in general. But if there is one thing he is good at, it’s machines. He likes to tinker around with anything he can find, often carrying a spare wrench with him at all times. Despite dealing with motion sickness, his favorite types of machinery he likes to operate and mess with are fast vehicles like rockets or bikes. Kazuichi can be a bit perverted and flirtatious towards women he finds interest in - especially if it’s Sonia Nevermind. However, this one-sided crush also is in poor taste because of his perverted tendencies), but also quite shallow - despite liking Sonia for her looks, he doesn’t like some of the personality traits she has or some of the hobbies she’s interested in, like her love and fascination with the occult. Despite these quirks, he seems to be one of the more “ordinary” students of this group, with his bright and colorful appearance and somewhat loud personality making him somewhat stand out. It’s even revealed that Kazuichi suffers from self-esteem and trust issues that stemmed from a friendship ending pretty poorly, which could explain his paranoia at the start, and the reason for his looks was so he could feel like he could stand out - not because it’s a style he particularly “liked,” per se. But once finding a friend in Hajime, he finally felt like he could have someone he could trust. But because of his trust issues, he can sometimes act a bit clingy. Despite his flaws, Kazuichi always can sympathize with those who died. Even if some deaths don’t affect him as much as others, he doesn’t shake any of them off regardless of who they are and how they treated them.

During his time as a remnant, Kazuichi invented and produced many dangerous machines used by the Despairs to spread chaos and destruction across the world. It’s also theorized (but never confirmed canonically) that he was also the person who built the executions for the killing game the cast of Trigger Happy Havoc witnessed/went through.

He will play a bit of a bigger role in the V3 Remnant AU! In this AU, Miu, Kazuichi, and Chihiro were all a “tech-savvy” trio and hung out pretty frequently. But once the tragedy hit, the three got separated - Miu becoming a remnant and participating in the tragedy, Chihiro is forced to participate in the killing game with their class (and like in canon, I do believe Chihiro dies here as well - I think all of the THH deaths are staying the same but I’ll need to make sure lol), and Kazuichi being stuck at the Future Foundation, forced to watch both of his friends go through something awful. This would hurt Kazuichi mentally A LOT - he possibly nearly fell into despair. But will he be able to overcome it save Miu and be able to honor Chihiro’s death?

Mikan Tsumiki is a character in Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, and her title is the Ultimate Nurse. Mikan is a very shy, paranoid, and meek young woman. After experiencing extremely severe abuse and bullying in her past, she began to suffer from extremely low self-esteem issues, can be easily intimidated, break down into tears with little to no provocation, stuttering, and overly apologizing for things that aren’t even her fault to begin with. Additionally, the severe trauma caused Mikan to not have the greatest social cues, and a warped perception if social interactions are positive or negative, making it quite difficult to talk to her. She also tends to have some sudden and erratic outbursts, but she usually apologizes for them after. And because of the severe bullying, if she assumes someone is upset with her, she offers them to do something to her (draw, hit, beat, or strip her), but when refused and told she hasn't done anything wrong, she often reacts with confusion because she never experienced kindness like that before in her life - poor soul. Despite that, she has more confidence in herself in her field of nursing - though it doesn’t seem like it at a first glance, she’s quite intelligent and thoughtful, especially when it comes to the human body and medicine. Her skills as the Ultimate Nurse proves to be very helpful during the trials, being able to give autopsy reports on corpses such as the state of the corpse, cause/time of death, and the details on certain injuries (ex: the size of a stab wound, being able to narrow down possible murder weapons).Her skills on analyzing the human body has also helped with her analyzing and reading people’s faces, but because of her low self worth, she can sometimes jump to the conclusion that people are upset with her.

Ibuki is a character in Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, and her title is the Ultimate Mucisian. Having a unique and rockstar-like appearance, Ibuki is an extremely loud and energetic girl. Considered one of the most upbeat characters of her class, Ibuki loves to chat with anyone about anything or nothing in particular - especially since she’ll go off on bizarre tangents sometimes, even if it had nothing to do with what she was originally talking about. She even seems to have some form of a verbal tic where she can say things twice. Ibuki’s quirky personality also stems from her interests - she loves to do things that some would see as “bizarre” or “unique,” and never likes to do things she finds “dull,” such as reading or studying. She also tends to have “panic moments,” where she screams or is scared at particularly nothing. But when she sometimes does experience genuine panic, she tends to foam at the mouth if she doesn’t scream. Despite her very quirky and loud personality, she can have serious moments with other people and can provide pretty well and wise advice for her friends, like advising Hajime about being himself, and does want to help Hajime with his sense of identity. This isn’t just a one-time thing though - this moment with Hajime and a few other small moments during the game shows that she has a strong respect for individuality, wanting everyone to experience being themselves. 

It’s heavily implied that Ibuki swings both ways. In the official artbook, it’s stated Ibuki loves cute girls and can be seen admiring some of them during the game (ex. In chapter 2 when Souda and Hajime meet up with the girls to head to the beach, some of them in their swimsuits) Though she’s usually teasing or joking around, she acts pretty flirty with both guys and girls. Despite her pretty flirtatious tendencies, Ibuki has stated she has little interest in finding an official partner at the moment, and would rather have a deep relationship (that’s platonic) with someone she would dub her soulmate.

Ibuki tends to refer to self in the third person quite a lot. It’s not as frequent in the ENG localization, but it’s still a notable quirk of hers that she does.

As a Remnant, Ibuki performed many concerts alongside Hiyoko Saionji. It’s heavily implied and theorized they did these concerts as a way to brainwash their fans into becoming followers of despair, but it’s also rumored that they also committed mass murder at these concerts as well, killing their fans at these performances (perhaps masking their shows as “safe havens” for these fans, only to kill them at the last number to shatter these fans’ last ounce of hope and security).

I think Ibuki’s higher voice is fitting like in the ENG game, but her more “rockstar” tone and vibes in the JPN version and anime work EXTREMELY well too :00

Nagito Komaeda is a character in Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, and title is the Ultimate Lucky Student. In general, Nagito has a pretty laid-back, carefree, and calm demeanor, often seen either smiling or laughing. At least, when you first meet him. Hajime described his first impression of Nagito as a boy with his own insecurities, but is extremely polite and friendly with a bright smile that can comfort those around him, albeit a bit clingy towards Hajime. He also would play the role of a mediator during conflicts, such as wanting to keep an eye on Teruteru so he didn’t harass anyone and also trying to be one of the few people to encourage his friends to be hopeful and cooperate during these dire circumstances.

However, during the first class trial (where he became the prime suspect in Twogami’s murder), his kind demeanor is gone, and it revealed that Komaeda has an extremely twisted idea of “hope.” believing the idea of hope being “absolute good,” he believes that any deed that is done in the name of hope is righteous and justified… even if it’s murder. Nagito desires to create an absolute hope so powerful enough to overcome any form of despair, that he’s even willing to use himself as a “stepping stone,” meaning he’d be willing to sacrifice himself if it means the other Ultimates can shine as the “ultimate hope.” This hints to his thoughts of himself being a “lower being” in comparison to the other ultimates, especially since he considers his title as the “Ultimate Lucky Student” as a true talent, to the point he feels shameful of being around them. Though his strong desires to help everyone seem genuine and self-sacrificing, his methods, and ideologies can be extremely dangerous for both the people around him and himself (He goes as far as to say he wouldn’t mind having one of the others kill him if it were for the sake of their hope, displaying how little he cares about his well-being). Despite that, he is strongly against deaths that are “meaningless” or if they were for the sake of despair (Looking at you, Junko). It is to note though that this is how we see him in the Neo-World Program, and once escaping it with the others in the Danganronpa 2.5 OVA, he seems to be way more mellowed out after leaving the program. It’s also revealed in this OVA that deep down, he has a hidden hatred towards talents, wishing for a world where they wouldn’t exist if it meant everyone could live happily, equally, and free of judgment and hierarchy. Naturally though, once awakening, he was embarrassed to think this way and still has his immense respect for talents. But he has seemed more relaxed and not over-the-top on his ideologies for hope, and having Hajime along the way. It also reveals that his respect for ideals like love/friendship is genuine too.

There’s so much info on Nagito that I just can’t fit it here. So if you wanna learn more about him and his personality, I highly recommend reading the wiki page for a more “in-depth” deep-dive on him.

His emotions as a remnant (also dubbed as “Servant,” but I’ll refer to him as a remnant because I just feel a bit uncomfortable referring to him as “servant” here.) are just as hard to read as he was before he became one - maybe even harder to read on than before. However, his personality is almost completely unchanged. Despite being an Ultimate Despair like his classmates, he seems to be the “least” affected by the brainwashing Junko forced onto them. This implies that Nagito has a love-hate thought process for his opinions on Junko. Because of the brainwashing, he still has a twisted obsession with her, but he also has a deep hatred for her; he even still has his obsession with hope despite working for the Ultimate Despair. He doesn’t seem too violent or dangerous, and he isn’t… but his plans for the world are even more dangerous than they were in Dr2:GD. He would usually work behind the scenes on what he does and usually assists with the Warriors of Hope. 

I think both voices work well for Nagito! So go crazy :)

Monaca Towa is a character in Danganronpa: Ultra Despair Girls, and her title is the Lil’ Ultimate Homeroom. At first, Monaca is a seemingly caring and amiable young girl. In UDG, she has a childish and somewhat innocent way of speaking, such as almost exclusively referring herself to the third person. Despite her cheerful front, she has stated that she has experienced suicidal thoughts in her past and during the game, although she claims she is only joking. Throughout the game, however, her true personality is revealed - Monaca is a very cunning manipulator and will do whatever it takes to manipulate things to go her way, such as throwing fits/temper tantrums or turning the other Warriors against each other. However, because of her “caring” and “charming” behavior and personality, the other Warriors of Hope care deeply about Monaca and want to keep her happy. Monaca is also very intelligent for her age, such as having a skill with robots. While Monaca displays her affection with the others, she doesn’t have those true feelings deep down - she even goes as far as to use their traumatic pasts against them to manipulate them into doing what she wants, showing that Monaca doesn’t experience any sympathy or actual sorrow for them, let alone anyone else. You could say that her true personality is almost identical to Junko’s - whom she greatly admires to the point of wanting to become the “second Junko Enoshima.”

In Dr3, she still has some of the same manipulative and childish personality traits but has also matured greatly. For example, she doesn’t refer to herself in the third person as often, and uses different tactics to manipulate the Future Foundation members she spends time with under the alias of Maiya. However, in her final appearances, she becomes completely lazy, apathetic, and cynical because of Remnant!Nagito’s constant ramblings about hope and despair made her feel bored and embarrassed about becoming the second Junko Enoshima, saying it was “a phase and she’s become an adult.”

I think both voices fit Monaca super well! So whichever interpretation you want to base it off of is completely up to you!

Nagisa Shigetsu is a character in Danganronpa: Ultra Despair Girls, and his title is the Lil’ Ultimate’ Social Studies. A clam, level-headed, and intelligent young boy, Nagisa is the most serious of the Warriors of Hope. He often plays the voice of reason when the others get into arguments. He doesn’t like to be underestimated or looked down upon because of his age, so he tries to avoid childish subjects or items to ensure that. Nagisa is extremely humble - he’s super loyal and protective of his friends and the other children. He’d often downplay the abusive home life he had to experience in comparison to the other Warrioes, often putting their struggles before his own. Despite what he and the others have done though, he still feels a lot of guilt for it - he knows morally what they’re doing is wrong (showing his level-headed nature), but feels that they had to be done - including killing his parents. Despite the abuse he endured from them, he still feels in debt to them for raising them - though he hates it, he can’t stop feeling respect for them. 

Nagisa is an extreme perfectionist. His whole life, he wanted to exceed the expectations of everyone to prove his worth not just to himself, but to his family - however, this caused placing expectations on him to be a bit of a trigger for him. That trigger would propel him to try to exceed those expectations he’s given, to the point he’d sacrifice his health and well-being. Nagisa suffers from a fear of abandonment because of his traumatic childhood, so even if he feels weak or sick from the work he does, he still try to achieve his goals if it means he gets the validation he’s looking for.

Throughout the game, it is revealed that he has a crush on Monaca, often losing his composure when she does things like complimenting or hugging him - but knowing Monaca’s true nature, she uses this to manipulate him to do what she wants. The others constantly tease him about it and accuse him of acting “like an adult” for these feelings, to which he tries to become embarrassed and defensive about it. However, whether he wants to admit it or not, he still has that curiosity about it.

The creators of UDG have stated that, despite his maturity and intelligence, Nagisa is also the most “childlike” personality-wise, most likely referring to how Monaca could easily manipulate him and how his admiration and affection for her blinds him from her negative traits, and tainting him to think she’s a sweet girl until she reveals her true self. Even then, he still couldn’t be worried about her in Dr3: Future Arc.

Kotoko Utsugi is a character in Danganronpa: Ultra Despair Girls, and her title is the Lil’ Ultimate Drama. Kotoko is a hot-headed but cheerful girl with a passion for things she considers “adorbs.” She has a habit of going off-topic and listing facts in the middle of conversations, sometimes vaguely linking back to the topic she’s talking about. Even still, she still has clear speech. Though she puts on the front of being cheerful and polite, she can be a bit of a bully and be cruel to others, such as being extremely mean towards Jotaro and teasing Nagisa mercilessly - especially about his crush on Monaca. When it comes to the Lil’ Ultimate Homeroom, she constantly tries to suck up to her and stay on Monaca’s good side. 

She seemingly loved the stage life and loved to act, but due to past trauma, she never likes to talk about it or look back on it. Because of how much she’d be pampered, she grew to become a bit strict and demanding of others. She also has a habit of curtsying and being quite a drama queen, hinting back to her time as an actress. However, because of how skilled she is at acting, it’s heavily implied that a lot of her behavior is just her putting on an act - including her “cutesy” personality is implied to be an act she’s putting on as a coping mechanism to keep acting if she doesn’t want to end up depressed. Being one of the more intelligent members, she can understand things a bit quicker than most kids her age and even uses her acting skills to deceive Monaca after she backstabbed her and the other Warriors, and can think for herself without Monaca’s influence.

Because of the sexual abuse she experienced while she was acting, Kotoko can get triggered by the word “gentle” since it was a word that the men who abused her would use for her. Even though she can use the world herself without a lot of trouble, if someone else says it, she can become extremely anxious and experience a very awful breakdown, sobbing in fear and not being able to calm herself down until someone she deeply trusts intervenes. Because of this trauma, she became extremely bitter towards adults - because nobody helped or saved her, she became extremely paranoid and distrustful of adults.

For Kotoko's voice, I love the direction they took in the JPN version, having her voice be a bit higher pitched and "cutesy." However, when she speaks in a more "serious" or angry/frustrated tone, I think going in a direction similar to her ENG voice works (Also as a way to hint at her acting abilities for her to put on a voice/tone depending on how she's feeling.)

Masaru is a cheerful, hot-headed showoff who seems to have a more goofy outlook on life. He is extremely energetic and constantly brags about his role as the Hero and leader of the Warriors of Hope, despite only becoming "leader" by winning in Rock, Paper, Scissors (before he was "killed" and the leadership role was passed on to Monaca) - in the original JPN dub, Masaru often refers to himself using orecchi, a form of the Japanese pronoun ore, which can be rude depending on its context but is often used when a speaker wants to assert a feeling of superiority. He loves praise and fame, hinting at his more arrogant side. He is also very playful, naughty, and mischievous - he likes to boss around others due to his role as the leader and enjoys playing pranks on his fellow Warriors of Hope. However, he is always very considerate and respectful towards Monaca. He is one of the more childlike and less intelligent members of the group, enjoying very childish jokes, stomping his foot in frustration if things don't go his way, and being completely unaware of what is truly going on. He also seems to remember certain words incorrectly, like misremembering "colosseum" as "killesseum." Despite his childish and arrogant personality, he does genuinely care about the people he leads and wants them to never feel afraid anymore, so he forces himself to be brave for them. He takes his role as the "Hero" very seriously and works hard to live up to certain hero tropes, like being fearless and never losing. When talking about his goals as a Hero, he also mentions Monaca among the things that should and will belong to him, possibly out of his firm belief in the trope that the hero always gets the girl, instead of romantic interest. Though he usually appears very cheerful, he can get very upset and break down crying if he is reminded of his abusive past.

Jataro Kemuri is a character in Danganronpa: Ultra Despair Girls, and his title is the Lil’ Ultimate Art. He is quiet, shy, and scatterbrained with a curiosity and fascination for dark and disturbing things. Jataro is recognized by himself and others for being hated, and he seems fine with that. He often blames himself for things he never did, as well as repeatedly apologizing and putting himself down; especially when it comes to his appearance. He believes that his face is ugly and he panics if anyone wants to see it, claiming that seeing his face would make people's eyeballs explode, hence why he wears a mask over his face at all times. Jataro's thoughts are disorganized and off-topic, some being innocent and some not, and he often has difficulties following conversations. He is shown to have some sort of mental or emotional instability, which becomes evident when he lapses into his episodes of rambling. He describes these ramblings as "yawns", things that come out of his mouth involuntarily and nobody can understand them, not even him. He calls them just "killing of time" and a "distraction from the horrors around you". Jataro's presence is often largely ignored, though he states later to Komaru and Toko that being ignored is something that he doesn't like. Despite the constant self-deprecation, Jataro is self-described as being a cheerful kid (though he admits that he may not understand what "cheerful" means), helpful to friends, and willing to comply with whatever they ask of him while remaining relatively upbeat. It's revealed that Jataro's acceptance of hate is a coping mechanism he developed against the constant abuse in his home life. He believes that it's easier to be hated because it leaves him free to do what he wants without worrying about pleasing people.

I think the creepiness in his way of speaking in the ENG is fitting, but I do prefer the more "innocent" and higher-pitched voice from the JPN is also something I wanna aim for, so I definitely am looking for a nice blend between the two for his voice!

Teruteru Hanamura is a character in Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, and his title is the Ultimate Cook - though he prefers to be called the “Ultimate Chef.” Teruteru is notorious for being very openly sexual and lewd, almost always seen hitting on someone (regardless of gender, and is confirmed that he does swing both ways. Not an excuse for his behavior) that borders the lines of sexual harassment. He even sometimes goes as far as to touch others without consent, taking advantage of those gullible or not getting sexual inuendos and may even drug people’s food he’d served (excluding the incident in Dr3 with the “sexy soup,” which was caused by Hiyoko - according to Kodaka himself, these behaviors were more frequent in Dr2, and toned down significantly in Dr3, because he knew them as classmates before the tragedy, while his memories were wiped in Dr2). When he isn’t doing any of these things, Teruteru seems to be at least pretty friendly, and even a bit upbeat. Teruteru takes pride in his talent as the Ultimate Cook/Chef, hoping his skills as a cook will help out with his sickly mother and see people’s smile when they enjoy his food, but he tends to get this goal a bit clouded away with his desire for fame and fortune. He tends to talk a bit big about himself, to the point of making up lies about his home life - he wants to build up an image of a stylish urban chef, in contrast to his actual home life in the countryside. What doesn’t change about his past - his mom. She was part of the reason he wanted to become a cook in the first place. With that said, he takes cooking very seriously. While he has his kinder moments, he can get pretty snarky and jokingly sarcastic (however, these moments are pretty rare). When put under stressful situations, Teruteru can become very timid and cowardly, often falling into denial while terrifying situations occur and trying to avoid any mentions of it. Whenever he feels angry or upset, his speech and dialect begin to change into an incomprehensible country-like accent. In the JPN version, his accent became so strong that it was very difficult for other Japanese speakers to understand what he was saying. In the ENG version, Teruteru’s standard American-English accent shifts into a heavily southern accent, to the point that the other characters couldn't understand what he was saying.

As a remnant, Teruteru would inject poison into his food to serve to starving people, and then kill them with the poisoned food he’d create, masking himself as being a good citizen feeding innocent victims. It’s also theorized that because the remnants target their families to feel immense despair, it’s speculated that Remnant!Teruteru killed and cooked his mother, and ate her afterwards. Yeah.. dark shit. :)

I think both voices fit for Teruteru! So either interpretation for him is fine! The only note I’ll have is that I’m looking for someone who can be able to pull off a good Southern accent.

Sonia Nevermind  is a character in Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, and her title is the Ultimate Princess. As implied from her title, Sonia is a polite and refined young woman, always having an upbeat and cheerful and regal aura around her. She has a great interest in studying the occult, serial killers, Japanese culture, and things that are “ordinary” given her rather lavish upbringing. Because she’s a foreigner (raised in Europe) and of higher status in comparison to her classmates, she may use outdated figures of speech or slang in attempt to socialize with others, as she wishes to be treated like a normal high schooler and make friends both of her age and status, regardless of being a regal princess. However, because of this, she might come off as a bit naive and ditzy at times, but in reality, she’s quite smart and has the skills to make complex and political analysis since she is a key authority figure in her country. She even has the capability to engage in combat if possible, despite her slim and somewhat “delicate” appearance. Sonia is a very loyal, sweet and kind girl who cares deeply for her classmates and friends and vows to protect them at all costs, and isn’t shy when it comes to physical affection. But if need be, she’s not shy from being assertive for herself and speaks up if she has to (especially with Souda).

Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu is a character in Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, and his title is the Ultimate Yakuza. Fuyuhiko is at first glance, very standoffish and rude, having a foul mouth and sharp tongue. At the start of Dr2, he was very distant from the rest of the cast and refused to befriend or spend any time around them, frequently trying to give him the image of a “lone wolf.” And if he was stuck in a conversation with someone, he’d have an irritable and unpleasant attitude when talking, often threatening or being argumentative in his conversations. Sometimes, he’d end up being so riled up he’d threaten to murder someone right then and there (especially with Mikan). He particularly had many arguments with Mahiru because of her stern attitude and refusal to back down from his arguments when they fought. However, after Mahiru’s death and Peko’s execution in chapter 2, after recovering from his injuries when trying to save Peko in her execution, he decided that he wanted to turn over a new leaf and try to become a more essential member for the group. Funnily enough, he ended up taking Mahiru’s role as the “stern older sibling” leadership role. Though he still has his moments of being short-tempered and impulsiveness, he’s one of the group's most loyal members, and when he remains calm and level-headed, he can be very intelligent and logical. 

Underneath his tougher personality, he has deep self-esteem issues about his status as his clan’s heir and with his Ultimate title, thinking he isn’t strong on his own and only is by his clan's support. He has strived to be strong on his own and not rely on his family’s status and power to get ahead in life. In his free-time events, he reveals that his goal is to become strong enough so he could lead his family, but not be strong because he leads his family. Due to that, he can be very insecure about his appearance - since people expect him to look like a strong, big, muscular man, while he’s the opposite, other than that he’s male. He especially hates it when people call him “baby-face,” and tries to hide that he has no tattoos like most Yakuza bosses and that he likes sweets. But when spending time with Hajime, he feels like he can reveal and be more comfortable in these traits; and he seems to feel the same way with others he feels he can trust and open his heart to. Despite his status as a Yakuza heir and not being unwilling to frame/murder others, he seems to take trivial/moral codes super seriously, such as attending classes on time and being against underage drinking/driving/sex (so he’s always being critical and on Souda’s case for his flirting with Sonia, and tries to prevent him from doing anything to her while they were all under the aphrodisiacs thanks to Hiyoko).

As a remnant, he stood by Peko’s side and murdered countless people during the tragedy - in the final episode of the Despair Arc, the two stood back to back amongst many slaughtered bodies of the Japanese Diet, very much implying they were the culprits. He also seemed to lead a large army of brainwashed subordinates (living to his ultimate talent as the Ultimate Yakuza and being the leader of his own clan in the name of Junko), and was protected by Peko when a few of the Future Foundation members attempt to capture them (alongside fellow classmates and remnants Nekomaru and Akane). It’s also confirmed that he had taken Junko’s right eye after her death, removed his own right eye, and then attached Junko’s eye in his own socket.

This might be an unpopular opinion for most, but out of the voices, his ENG Anime is probably my favorite and most fitting voice for Fuyuhiko! So I think I’m looking for something like that. However, for his more “chill and level-headed” moments, his JPN voice is preferred, and for his more “angry gangster” and tough attitude, his ENG game voice is super good as well!

Natsumi Kuzuryu is a character in Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope’s Peak High, and she has no Ultimate title as she is a part of the Reserve Course. Natsumi exhibited extreme egotism and smugness upon introducing herself to Hajime and the rest of the Reserve Course students in his class. Natsumi was described by many as a mean and egotistical girl who’d plant hatred towards someone she dislikes or envies. Natsumi is also said by her parents to be much more violent than her brother and more worthy of being the Yakuza heiress than her brother. As described by Fuyuhiko, Natsumi was used to making a fool out of him every day and always pissed him off, but Fuyuhiko always considered her as his cute sister, and the two most likely had as much of a normal sibling relationship and cared deeply about each other. However, underneath her self-centered and tough exterior, Natsumi was an insecure girl who did not want to be left behind by her brother and was willing to talk with people who did not treat her harshly, such as opening up to Hajime about her inner struggles despite the two not knowing each other too well. While she could threaten people, it implied she wasn't serious about it and, as a yakuza, was used to talking that way. After Sato became protective of Mahiru and started pestering Natsumi about her intentions, she already appeared tired of the topic and wanted to be left alone.

Peko Pekoyama is a character in Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, and her title is the Ultimate Swordswoman. Peko has a serious and mostly emotionless demeanor, not emoting when interacting with other people and exhibiting an intimidating aura. Despite that, she isn’t an entirely anti-social person either - as she was alright with attending the party in chapter 1 despite being uneasy in crowded spaces and had felt bad she couldn't assist with figuring out the power outage because she was feeling unwell. So even though she has a pretty intimidating exterior and stoic personality, she truly means no harm and does want to help with whatever she can. As it turns out, she doesn’t mean to act cold. During her free-time events, she revealed she never felt the need to smile during her childhood and essentially forgot how to “properly” smile on command and wants to be able to do that for her childhood friend (who is heavily implied and possibly canonically Fuyuhiko). As it turns out, she’s Fuyuhiko’s right-hand lady and “bodyguard,” but wasn’t revealed until Peko killed Mahiru in chapter 2. As it turns out, because of how the Fuyuhiko clan raised her, she believes herself to be a “tool” and less than human, her only purpose is to serve what Fuyuhiko wants. However, because Fuyuhiko doesn’t want to rely on his family’s power, Peko has the feeling that he hates her since she’s essentially the personification of that reliance (even though it's far from that), and further fuels her desire to make him happy (hence why she murdered Mahiru - so she would take the fall and blame of it so he wouldn’t do so himself).

Though she tries to hide it, Peko has an extremely kind heart - especially for Fuyuhiko and her classmates. Though they can be frightened of her, she deeply loves animals - especially fluffy ones. So though she was the culprit in her murder, she still felt hurt and remorseful for both killing her and needing to lie/betray everyone, wishing they’d not bend to the killing game again like she had. She also is always willing to soften up her cold exterior and stand by her classmates, such as assisting Akane and Nekomaru with taking down Monokuma, and splitting open a coconut for Ibuki, Hajime, Teruteru, and Souda, glad she can be of use and can enjoy themselves because of her. However, her deepest desire is to protect Fuyuhiko - not as a tool, but as his right-hand lady and as his best friend.

As a remnant, she stood alongside Fuyuhiko Peko’s side and murdered countless people during the tragedy - in the final episode of the Despair Arc, the two stood back to back amongst many slaughtered bodies of the Japanese Diet, very much implying they were the culprits. Peko served as Fuyuhiko’s right-hand, serving out his orders and attacking whoever gets in his way. Mahiru Koizumi is a character in Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, and her title is the Ultimate Photographer. Mahiru is known to be the “big sister” of the group. Sensible and pretty optimistic, she’s very protective of her friends and loved ones and has a strong sense of justice that isn’t afraid to speak her mind. Though she comes off as confident and bold, she tends to have some self-esteem issues - especially about her photography skills, always comparing herself to her mother who was absent in a good amount of her life because of her work as a famous war photographer. She’d always feel frustrated about her skills both because of her self-doubts, but also because there would be others who compared her style of photos to her mother's, and feels like she had a lackluster title despite her love for her craft. Despite being absent from home a lot, Mahiru must’ve seen her as a good mother figure as she still holds her close to her heart, which can’t be said about her father, who always left her responsible for housework and wasn’t as involved in her life either. It’s probably because of her father that she always tends to be tougher on boys. Unlike Tenko, who despises men entirely, Mahiru doesn’t have a hatred for them. However, she seems to hold higher expectations for them and tends to be more stern and abrasive with them. That being said, she tends to be more sympathetic and friendly with girls (some of her closest friends being Ibuki, Saionji, and Mikan).

While she’s extremely helpful and kind, she isn’t a pushover. If someone is being rude (regardless of gender), she won’t hesitate to scold and put them in her place, and will always help take care of others in need (but depending on the person, may complain about it a little). Despite that, she’s extremely empathetic and can never hold a grudge against others who have wronged her in the past. But when something involving injustice is involved, Mahiru’s sense of justice, sympathy, and more raw emotions are shown (seen when grieving for Ult. Imposter and hoping to find his killer, and when confronting Fuyuhiko about being her friend Sato’s killer after playing the Twilight Syndrome game, vowing that vengeance is wrong no matter the reason). 

As a remnant of despair, Mahiru took many horrifying and gruesome photos during the tragedy that would be used as despairing propaganda and news to spread despair to the world. She’d also take photos of some of her fellow classmates and remnants (seen with Sonia in the first episode of the Future arc), possibly as a way to document their influence on those who try to stop them.

Nekomaru Nidai is a character in Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, and his title is the Ultimate Team Manager. Nidai is a loud and boisterous man who always is encouraging and supports his friends. He’s known to almost always be shouting or be loud when speaking, but it's partially due to him being a team manager and full of energy - he’s always down to spar with anyone as a form of serious training, especially with Akane. Though he has an extreme sense of willpower and optimism, he isn’t the brightest bulb in the shed, or the best actor when it comes to lying. He also doesn’t seem to have a sense of shame when speaking whatever is on his mind and can end up saying things that may make others feel a bit embarrassed or uncomfortable (mainly when discussing using the restroom), which Mahiru tries to keep him in check for. He also can get a bit too close in other people’s bubbles, but he doesn’t mean any harm and tries to keep his boundaries when someone tells him they feel uncomfortable. He also seems to be skilled in massages, self-proclaiming to be the Ultimate Massuse and is always offering to others if they’d like one of his “special massages” and claims it a “secret weapon” to relieve fatigue in an instant, while also feeling addictive to the receiver (which is seen with Akane and Hajime). So though Nidai has an extremely loud and aggressive personality and seems a bit scary at first glance, he does truly have a kind heart and is not afraid to express his emotions (especially not afraid to cry), and wants to support and protect his teammates and friends as much as he can, believing that a fighting spirit and teamwork are essential to him. Nidai is so protective of his friends that he’s even willing to sacrifice himself if he has to… even at the cost of his life.

As a despair, Nidai would coach/train people against their wills, without giving them any chances of a break or a moment to breathe. Eventually, these people would end up overworking themselves to the point of death by either heart attack, heat stroke, regular stroke, or anything else that involved heat, exhaustion, or stress. Being one of the strongest remnants in his group, he was also one of the “bodyguards” of the group, protecting his classmates from the future foundation and fighting them head-on (seen in Dr3 - Future Arc 1 alongside Akane as backup for Peko).

Not much to note about his voice; either one fits! Just looking for someone who’s REAAALLLY able to project and channel Nidai’s loud and boisterous energy!

Akane Owari is a character in Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, and her title is the Ultimate Gymnist. Akane has a fiery and spunky personality, always in the mood to spar or fight someone - not with weapons, but with her body and fists. She’s always up to challenge those who look physically strong or people she knows are physically strong, even if they don’t look it - apparently, she’s really good at sensing/reading into. She also has a keen sense of smell, such as being able to detect the smell of blood or unnatural scents in the area. However, she can be pretty hotheaded at times, sometimes resulting in using her fists as a way to get out of trouble… which ends up making things worse for her. While she is super athletic and can get fired up easily, she can get easily unmotivated and even a bit lazy if things don’t go entirely her way - her mood tends to swing quite a lot, from being energized and ready to brawl to being exhausted and wiped. She also isn’t the smartest person in the group. She can be pretty forgetful (becoming puzzled at over-complicated discussions during the murder trials, often forgeting Hajime’s name during free-time events or not understanding more “complex” words), or even saying/doing things that can catch the rest off guard. In contrast, she seems to brush it off as something completely normal or is clueless on why others become disturbed when she explains her backstory (partially due to living in an extremely dangerous and harsh area where violence and sexual assault were very common - including towards her), such as not seeing a problem with getting naked in front of others and not wanting to wear a swimsuit because of her dark and disturbing upbringing. Despite this, she’s a pretty easygoing and friendly girl to be around, and when in the proper mindset, is very protective of her friends and won’t hesitate to jump in a fight to help; however, she does have a chip on her shoulder of being seen as “weak.” She believes that hesitating or worrying are signs of this, and she often tries to hide herself from crying or being spooked because she’s scared that these will make others see her as “weak,” and training by herself will help her achieve her goal of becoming stronger. However, thanks to Hajime and Nidai, they teach her that it’s okay to be more vulnerable and open with her emotions and that she should not be upset about expressing them.

Along with being strong and having a good sense of smell, she’s also a huge foodie - if there’s one thing that Akane loves more than brawling, it’s food. She thinks food is the most important thing in life to regain strength and energy, and often says, “if you don’t eat, you’ll die.” Part of her love for food is because of living in an area where food was often scarce or expensive for her family. Additionally, Akane can lose her energy extremely quickly if she doesn’t eat, and if it’s something small, she’ll become hungrier.

As a remnant, it’s heavily implied that Akane would constantly starve herself and avoid eating - one of the few things she loved - to feel intense pain from hunger and despair. She was also one of the more violent and stronger members of the Remnants, as she’d kill any passerby she can and is always willing to assist her fellow remnants when they’re in trouble (seen assisting Nidai and Peko in Dr3 - Future Arc 1).

Hiyoko Saionji is a character in Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, and her title is the Ultimate Traditional Dancer. Despite her cute/sweet and innocent/childlike personality (and appearance before her growth spurt), Hiyoko has a sharp tongue, crude mouth, and a bitterly nasty attitude. She likes to squish ants or chase around smaller animals for her amusement as if it was all innocent childsplay, stomping on flowers since she claims that she likes to destroy “pretty” things and bully others for her own entertainment. She doesn’t resort to physical violence, but she makes up for verbal and emotional torment towards her victims (her favorites being Souda and ESPECIALLY Mikan), often hurling insults and patronizing them where she knows it’ll hurt because she loves getting a negative reaction out of them. She tends to bully Mikan the most, claiming that Mikan is trying to put on an act for attention - however, she reveals to Hajime that she dislikes Sonia the most because of how much attention she gets from others. Possibly being spoiled as a young girl because she was an heiress in her clan, Hiyoko tends to think of herself on a higher level in comparison to others, manipulating others to get what she wants and will cry crocodile tears if she doesn’t get her way (or genuine tears sometimes, but because of how distrusting she is with the others, it creates a “boy who cried wolf” effect and no one takes her crying too seriously). However, this spoiling also caused her to be unable to do things on her own, such as tie her kimono on her own or bathe by herself. But thanks to Mahiru offering to help Hiyoko tie her obi and spending more time with her, Hiyoko warms up to her and views Mahiru as a “big sis” figure, and also begins to warm up and see Hajime as a “big brother” figure during her free time events since he reminded her of her father.

Her very nasty behavior may have been caused by her past and status as an heiress in her clan (not an excuse for her behavior, of course) - especially because of being raised by an overbearing grandmother and having to deal with people who would play cruel jokes on her or even threaten her life. Because of this, she grew to become very distrustful and wary of others, and her mean behavior is supposedly used as a “shield” to protect herself from further harm (again though, not an excuse for her behavior) and grew to have a fear of being deceived or lied to by others.

Despite all of these negative traits, she can be very level-headed, as she was the first person in her class to accept the reality of Twogami’s murder in chapter 1 and tell the class that they should investigate his death or else they would all die. She’s also extremely condemning of killers, such as condemning Teruteru for killing Twogami, wanting to end the trial once Peko is exposed for being Mahiru’s killer and tearing her down in her “Sparkling Justice” act, and being the only one to call out Fuyuhiko for being directly involved in Mahiru’s murder. But once he does make up for his mistakes and apologizes for his behavior/actions after the 2nd trial, she decides she wants to also change herself for the better for Mahiru’s sake, and tries to be less hostile and mean towards the others. Her development in trying to better her behavior is especially seen in Dr3 Hope Arc, as she even thanks Mikan and becomes more protective of her.

As a remnant, Hiyoko works alongside Ibuki in performing concerts together during the Tragedy to rally the brainwashed army's spirit and recruit more members.

The Ultimate Imposter is a character in Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, and their title is the Ultimate Imposter. As implied by their talent, they’re almost always mimicking the behavior and looks of someone else and don’t have a name to go by. Because of that, his true personality is unknown to the rest of the cast. However, as shown in chapter 6 of Dr2 and throughout Dr3 when disguised as Mitarai, Ult. Imposter is a very collected and serious person but is also polite, thoughtful, and extremely kind. It was somewhat hinted during their time disguised as Byakuya in Dr2 - while they do retain his uptight, rude, and arrogant demeanor to a T, they still take the role of being the “leader” of the group and is willing to do anything to keep his classmates safe. Their nicer personality was also seen when they took Mitarai’s place in Dr3 - while the real Mitarai holed in his dorm to continue working on his anime, they took on the role of going to Hope’s Peak in his place, but also bringing food and water for Mitarai and encouraging him to keep his appetite and health in check with the assistance of Mikan when he fell extremely ill from malnutrition. Similar to Akane, Ult. Imposter loves food. However, unlike Akane, they don’t just like eating food - they’re very passionate and interested in food/eating-related topics and how they affect the body, such as the amount of energy that some food gives, body fat percentages, and fast food restaurants. And while he has what most people would consider an “unhealthy and obese” build, Ult. Imposter is proud of and likes his body and how it’s built-in fact, it's implied that they aimed for this particular body and had sculpted their physique to be this way. They are extremely body-positive and proud of their body.

Because of their title as the “Ultimate Imposter,” they feel extremely lonely and have experienced many issues about their identity. While they may be proud of their physique, they feel like they have no sense of identity as they do not even have a name or family to turn to. All they want is to live a “normal” life, but feel like they can never do so unless they’re living as another person, and if found out, they’ll “disappear” - as revealed when they met Mitarai for the first time. Because of this, they feel like they have to turn others away from them because if anyone gets close, they’ll possibly find out about their true identity and they fear how they’ll react because they believe that they are lying to people about who they are. However, the more time they spend with people like Hajime, Mitarai, Mikan, Ibuki, and the rest of the cast, they begin to feel happier and truly feel like they exist and belong - even if they’re in disguise.

While disguised as Togami during their time as a Remnant, donning a pair of night vision goggles, they seemingly took on the role of a spy or an infiltrator of sorts, as they’re seen in Dr3 - Future Arc being able to dodge the Future Foundation’s attacks with ease and nimble precision. They possibly took on a bit of a leadership role as well, but it isn’t outright confirmed.

While I’ll have other VA’s do Ult. Imposter’s voice while in disguise, I want a complete voice for them out of it, so I have them up for casting as well!

Ryota Mitarai is a character in Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope’s Peak High, and his title is the Ultimate Animator. Mitarai is an extremely reserved, timid, and antisocial young boy. From a young age, he’s always been a loner and outcast who was constantly picked on and bullied, alongside an absent father who’d shove his parental responsibilities to Mitarai’s mother. However, he’s always had a huge love for anime, which inspired him to start drawing and eventually become an animator. He holds anime in high regard as it was able to be his main source of comfort to escape from his harsh childhood and dysfunctional family life. He goes as far as to say that anime saved him, and he wants to use his skills as an animator to achieve his goal of giving others like him a source of hope by creating his own anime. However, this goal eventually becomes his whole life, as he dedicates himself to slave away at his desk to be able to work on it, to the point he’ll neglect essential needs like eating and resting, which is shown by heavy eyebags, slender and pale zombie-like appearance - it gets to the point that Ult. Imposter and Mikan have to care for him when he collapses from overworking himself and lack of food. Although Mitarai is very timid and not physically intimidating in the slightest, he still has a very strong sense of justice and uses this will to push on to achieve his goal of creating a world full of hope and saving others through his work. However, even though he does try his hardest to stay strong, Mitarai tends to put a lot of pressure on himself and suffers from anxiety and self-confidence. It doesn’t help that he gets very squeamish or even sick when witnessing violence, blood, or dead bodies and always has to run off to puke if he feels nauseous after finding a corpse. Due to his constant worrying and jumpy personality, he constantly views himself as a huge burden whenever he feels like he’s let people down if he fails to protect someone - especially because of how he feels heavy guilt for assisting Junko in her plans and giving her the ideas of brainwashing his classmates and not being strong enough to stop her. However, with the help of his classmates at the end of Hope Arc (when his spirit became so broken from the Future Foundation Killing Game he finally snaps and gains the resolve to brainwash the world with his video into hope and eliminate any source of despair or negative emotion), especially feeling empowered and moved by Hajime and Ult. Imposter’s words of not needing to feel alone and they all are atoning for their past during the tragedy, he believes their words and decides to live on alongside his classmates and become more sure of himself as he relaxes and lives alongside his class.

I think I would like something more like his Eng. voice (aka Justin Briner’s interpretation of Mitarai), but I do think both interpretations here work well for his character and don’t mind which interpretation you base on!

Kyosuke Munakata is a character in Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope’s Peak High, and his title is the former Ultimate Student Council President. Kyosuke is cold and authoritative, but also very charismatic, which is demonstrated in Juzo and Chisa Yukizome's loyalty to him, showing that he can be influential. He is described as looking very strict, which makes him a bit scary, but also serious in a way that makes him appear very reliable. In his past, he was a notably warmer person, smiling more often and having a kinder voice, though still having a somewhat serious personality. He was described as rational, reliable, and strong-willed. He was determined to lead Hope's Peak Academy to take the school in the correct direction, with Juzo and Chisa considering him the academy's true hope. However, after the Tragedy, his opinions turned radical, as he began to believe that the only way to defeat despair is to eliminate it at all costs, even if heavy sacrifices must be made. He held an incredible amount of anger towards Ultimate Despair and was in favor of killing them, believing that any glimpse of despair must be destroyed or else it would just create more despair. It is indicated that this way of thinking was influenced by Chisa, who was unbeknownst to him brainwashed to be a part of Ultimate Despair. As pointed out by Makoto Naegi, Kyosuke chose to only focus on despair without seeing hope and the good that was still left in the world, showing just how pessimistic and bitter he had become. Along with his opinions, Kyosuke's nature turned much colder as well, as he no longer spoke in a kind voice and didn't answer physical and emotional affection from his close ones. However, he still cared about Chisa and Juzo. He strongly disliked Makoto's naivety, believing that he does not know true despair and thus his words were just hollow platitudes, though he admitted that he respects Makoto's determination and ability to inspire others. He claims he believes in power instead of words and he believes words cannot be a weapon mightier than a blade. Kyosuke is decisive, overly logical, and reserved. He tried to distance himself from emotional reasoning as much as possible, to keep his emotions from getting in the way of his decisions. Though, supposedly due to both his intelligence and paranoia, Kyosuke tends to think that there is always something more complex behind other people's actions, and thus has a harder time realizing answers that are just simple or obvious. He was aware that he had to make the tough choices that few others are willing to make, and had resigned himself to the responsibility. Because of this, he seemed to view himself as very martyr-like, as he was willing to put himself into unfavorable opinions with others to get things done. Somewhat self-centeredly, he also believed that his own experiences were true despair, and belittled the survivors of the Killing School Life, since their situation at least had rules. He also tried to convince himself that instead of his actions and decisions, the despair itself was always at fault, and he was quick to assume that anyone disagreeing with his morals could be a Remnant of Despair. Even after realizing that Makoto was innocent, he was still willing to kill him because he believed that the traitor could use him for their own goals. Though originally rational and reliable, Kyosuke lost his restraint as a result of Chisa's death, which affected him heavily. He mostly refused to acknowledge it and focused on chasing after Makoto, but Kazuo told him accordingly that Chisa's death had driven him into madness, and accused Kyosuke of being confused, and both cynical and naive. Kazuo also told him that everyone is an attacker, turning him even more paranoid than usual, and causing him to even turn against Juzo. This turned even worse after he used Seiko's enhancing drug on himself, making him notably more aggressive, with even his eyesight shown to be more blurred. However, he eventually calmed down after talking with Makoto and realizing that his views had been wrong, and he properly grieved for Chisa as he fully accepted her death and the fact that he still loved her as the person she truly was and blamed himself for her corruption in the hands of the Ultimate Despair. He also grieved the death of Juzo, understanding that he was to blame, and he ultimately decided to be alone and carry this burden by himself. His atonement was also seen in the way he was willing to risk his life to help Makoto and his friends.

Chisa Yukizome is a character in Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope’s Peak High, and her title is the former Ultimate Housekeeper and teacher of Class 77-B (cast of Dr2). Chisa is a very friendly woman with a cheerful disposition. Her friendliness extends to everyone, even those deemed "lesser" by others, such as Hajime Hinata, a Reserve Course student. Described as a "firecracker of a woman," she is generally very lively and confident, always working hard with a smile on her face and facing new challenges with a positive attitude, such as when she goes around collecting her students who didn't show up for the class after becoming their homeroom teacher through various, often comically over-the-top, means. Despite her perceived quirky nature, Chisa is quite competent as a teacher. She can adjust her personality to best communicate with her students, such as being kind to Mikan Tsumiki and abrasive with Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu. Chisa is devoted to the people she cares about, whether that be her friends Juzo Sakakura and Kyosuke Munakata or her students. It is heavily implied she has romantic feelings for Kyosuke. While she does not tell him directly, she does like to playfully threaten Juzo to not steal him away from her, also implying she's aware of his feelings for him as well. She has a strong sense of right and wrong and isn't afraid to stand up for what she believes is right. She willingly stands between Juzo and Hajime when the former was about to assault him, additionally protesting his violent nature several times. She was also willing to face Ultimate Despair, Junko Enoshima, and Mukuro Ikusaba for the sake of her students and their safety. 

As noted by Mukuro, Chisa seems to be extremely resilient and strong-willed, as she was unusually resilient against the Despair Video brainwashing (although it is important to note that since the video was mainly made by Junko and only assisted by Mitarai against his will, it's most likely due to her subliminal messaging skills not being up to par with Mitarai's). However, she eventually succumbed to it after being lobotomized by Mukuro and falling into despair. 

Under the influence of despair, she became more sadistic and cruel such as massacring a group of young children, despite faking her horrified sorrow in the arms of Kyosuke, she kept a photo of the corpses with the message "It was me" to be discovered by Kyosuke himself during the events of the Final Killing Game. Since she retains her memory and personality even after falling into despair, it's important to note that falling into despair may not always change someone's personality - only warp them into the belief of spreading despair.

I think both voices are good, but really do want something more like her ENG. While I do like the cheery and upbeat tone of the JPN voice, I just feel like it's way too high for her, and feel like the ENG voice suits her much better.

Juzo Sakakura is a character in Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope’s Peak High, and his title is the former Ultimate Boxer.  Juzo is rough and prone to violence when he loses his short temper. He has a harsh way of speaking and he is accustomed to bullying others to get his point across. He is rather serious, with many of his smiles being mocking rather than genuine. He is described as "the most aggressive person in Future Foundation." People who work underneath him in the 6th Division are constantly fearful when he is around. However, he can restrain himself and become serious when needed. He's also shown to be calculating, careful, and resourceful during the Final Killing Game, making use of his environment to create weapons, like an office chair or a pipe, to avoid triggering his own NG Code. 

Juzo can often be misunderstood due to his appearance and behavior, and only a few understand his true intentions. Despite his harshness, he is described as being a good guy in the end. He hates people who care more about protecting themselves than protecting others—which is shown by his disgust at Hope's Peak's actions in trying to cover up Natsumi and Sato's murders to preserve their reputation (He hates that he has to cover up the truth as well, but couldn't risk losing his position if it meant the trio could undercover the truth behind Hope's Peak, hence why he felt like he had to be violent and needlessly stern with Hajime). He also cares very much about his friends; he is incredibly loyal to Kyosuke, described as willing to "dirty his hands without regret" for him. He is mostly seen smiling, joking, and generally showing a softer side in Kyosuke's company. He values Kyosuke's life and opinions over his own, being very determined to support him in every situation. Being seen as useful to Kyosuke is the one thing that seems to make him happiest, and he seems to relax in his presence. He is also close with Chisa Yukizome and treats her as an equal, with genuine warmth like he does with Kyosuke, though being a serious person himself he is consistently annoyed with how carried away she could get. 

While being very prideful, Juzo also suffers from deep insecurities and weakness. Despite his strong desire to please Kyosuke and help him with his plans, he has an unlucky tendency to screw up constantly. He is also described as incompetent at everything else but boxing, and sometimes even his boxing skills fail him. In the group of three friends, Juzo considers himself a third wheel due to Chisa and Kyosuke having a closer relationship. As a result of all of this, Juzo suffers from a fear of abandonment and uselessness, which pushes him to work even harder. His multiple insecurities could also explain some of his aggression, as he likely wishes to appear as tough as possible to others. Above everything else, Juzo is deeply insecure about his sexuality and his secret romantic feelings for Kyosuke, which is likely made worse by his status as the world champion and his country's rather negative views of homosexuality (at the time). He doesn't tell his friends about these feelings, preferring to watch afar and silently suffer from jealousy (however, it's implied that Chisa most likely already knows based on their interactions). Coming out of the closet, especially to Kyosuke, appears to be one of his worst fears. Junko uses this to her advantage, forcing Juzo into a position where he has to choose between protecting his pride and betraying Kyosuke. He betrays Kyosuke, which makes him feel very guilty and angry with himself. It appears that at one point he was finally ready to tell Kyosuke about his feelings and admit his mistake, but before he could, he was betrayed by Kyosuke and died before that could happen. In the end, he didn't hold a grudge against Kyosuke for abandoning him and attempting to kill him, believing he deserved his fate as a price for everything he had done. Furthermore, he still cared about Kyosuke and wanted him to live more than anything, admitting to himself that he was "such a softie" after all.

Seiko had a reserved and pessimistic personality and a stilted way of speaking. She also appears to show little compassion or optimism over changing the remnants, believing them to be rotten. Much like Kyoko Kirigiri, she was conscious of how easy it was for people to guess what she was thinking through her facial expressions, so she hid her face behind a mask. She got startled easily and appeared quite anxious, and, during her time in high school, she was shown to be quite shy as well. Despite having very little compassion in general, Seiko was shown to be one of the most understanding and compassionate members of the Future Foundation, as she showed remorse over both Chisa Yukizome and Daisaku Bandai's deaths and was angry with herself for not being able to save them. During high school, Seiko was described as soft-hearted, and she often took requests from other students such as Teruteru Hanamura, Nagito Komaeda, and Ruruka Ando. She also loved animals, providing care for an injured animal at no charge, as well as producing several medicines specially formulated for use on animals. Because of her soft nature, Seiko (similar to Mikan Tsumiki) was very loyal and forgiving to friendly or helpful people towards her. Because she could not eat Ruruka's sweets due to her medicine, she felt guilty and tried to compensate by helping her whenever she needed it.

As a pharmacist, she had an extensive knowledge of medicine and drugs. She created many different kinds of drugs, including ones that can drastically change one's physical appearance and make them much faster and stronger. She was always very meticulous while dealing with these medicines and drugs, and tried to work in quiet environments so she didn't get disturbed or lose focus when working.

Ruruka Ando is a character in Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope’s Peak High, and her title is the former Ultimate Confectionist. Ruruka is a cunning young woman who is described as having a mean streak despite her cute appearance. She appears rather manipulative and is not above using her friends to achieve her goals. She can also be extremely selfish, as during the Final Killing Game, she focuses only on keeping herself alive. While she can appear easily annoyed and even mean towards others, Ruruka acts very sweet and intimate with her romantic partner Sonosuke, and she often feeds him her candy. Ruruka has a strong hatred and fear of being betrayed, and she would rather betray others before they have any chance to do the same to her, including her boyfriend. She knows it's wrong, but her fear of betrayal is too strong, and she is implied to have a fear of trust which is called pistanthrophobia. Ruruka's childhood friend, Seiko, "backstabbing" her in high school might have made this worse, but this doesn't appear to be the cause of it. She appeared to have some sort of trust issues much earlier as well, as she strongly disliked it when her close ones wouldn't eat her treats and took it very personally. She has stated that she won't trust anyone who doesn't eat her candy.

As the Ultimate Confectioner, Ruruka's able to make her sweets extremely addictive to eat if digestive - she's even developed her own special kind of candy that can be used to brainwash and manipulate people; thanks to this, Ruruka is a resourceful and skilled negotiator.

Sonosuke is stated to be a "silent type", who avoids talking to others, the only exception being his romantic partner Ruruka. He is incredibly loyal and very protective of her, drawing a hidden weapon from his coat on any person who gets close to her. Sonosuke loves Ruruka's candy and Ruruka seems to feed him as a reward, often resting his head on her lap. Sonosuke is very loyal to Ruruka as he never holds back and shows his full splendor towards his enemy to protect her. Without any remorse, he set a trap that severely injured Seiko Kimura's right hand and took out all of his hidden weapons to fight her until she reached her demise. Once Sonosuke's trust is broken, it is challenging to gain it back, as he believes "once a traitor, always a traitor". However, he doesn't mind when Ruruka betrays him or even when she takes his life, as he loves her very much and thus doesn't consider it a betrayal.

ALTERNATIVE FATE

In the Stage Play adaption, all poisoned members are brought back to life thanks to an antidote Seiko procured before her death, and assist Naegi in stopping Mitarai from uploading the Hope video by fighting off any brainwashed guards.

Once all is said and done, Izayoi is left unsure of what to do next now that Ruruka - his childhood best friend and love of his life - is now gone. With a few encouraging words from Munakata to live on, Izayoi sheds a few tears, letting out a “so cruel,” and decides to take Munakata’s advice to live on for Ruruka’s sake.

Kazuo Tengan is a character in Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope’s Peak High, and his title is the former director of Hope’s Peak Academy. At his core, Kazuo is a peaceful man who chooses to avoid conflict and violence whenever possible. He is wise and often advises his younger coworkers of the Future Foundation and even the students of Hope's Peak Academy in his younger years, such as encouraging Reserve Course student Hajime Hinata from going through with the Izuru Kamukura Project. He even goes as far as to admonish Kyosuke Munakata that despair cannot be fully eradicated through war alone. Despite his passive nature, he is not against fighting when need be if he is defending himself or defending others, even willing to fight to the death for what he believes in. However, once he was corrupted by the brainwashing effects of the Despair Video, he took on a far more sadistic and extreme persona compared to his actual one. He set up and executed the Final Killing Game to get Ryota Mitarai to use his Hope Video to brainwash the surviving members of humanity into feeling nothing but a twisted form of hope. To achieve these ends, he was even willing to sacrifice his fellow Future Foundation members and even himself. He even recorded a video revealing he was the mastermind behind the Future Foundation Killing Game: 

• "I know it might be hard for youngsters like you to understand, but when you're old and don't have much time left, like me... Hope is having young people to whom you can entrust the future. The students of Hope's Peak Academy, the place I dedicated my life to... They represent my hope. They have grown into fine people, who now form the pillars of the Future Foundation. These pillars of hope, and guides for humanity... If they were to betray, deceive, and kill each other... I cannot imagine anything that would cause more despair. The thought of seeing you all crying and shedding blood, twisted by despair... It makes me deeply and incredibly sad... Which is why I ended up doing it!"

Great Gozu is a character in Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope’s Peak High, and his title is the former Ultimate Wrestler. Despite his intimidating appearance, Great Gozu has a gentle nature and a quiet, polite way of speaking though he does use curse words. When in arguments, he is very patient and rarely raises his voice, only doing so to dramatically, if comically, a proclamation of his own name, his values, and what he is willing to do for them. Great Gozu has unwavering loyalty and respect for anyone he considers his comrades, including the members of the Future Foundation and Kazuo Tengan as their leader. This extends to even Makoto Naegi as he willingly protects him from his fellow members of the Future Foundation due to Great Gozu's unwavering admiration of Makoto and his hope. He claims that Makoto's hope is what the Foundation needs. After Chisa Yukizome's corpse is recovered, he covers her face with his own suit jacket as a sign of respect. He is very honorable and considers situations such as persecution without a fair trial as dishonorable. He dislikes needless violence, even weapons in general, though he is willing to use them if needed, as seen when he fights Kyosuke with a makeshift weapon out of a pipe. He refuses to kill or even accept killing as a means to solve problems, and attempts to prevent it when he can. He's gone as far as putting himself in harm's way to stop Juzo Sakakura from assaulting Makoto by snapping Juzo's knife with his grip, cutting his palm in the process.

Daisaku Bandai is a character in Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope’s Peak High, and his title is the former Ultimate Farmer. Daisaku is described as being a gentle giant. One of his most notable quirks is making up his own sayings such as "the strawberry seed only shows its face three times", but no one has any idea what they mean. Daisaku himself admits that they don't really mean anything, he simply enjoys saying them. While his voice has been described as "creepy" by others as it's more high-pitched feminine than his build suggests, it doesn't seem to bother him, and even thinks of it as a compliment. He also dislikes violence and even attempted to stop fellow Future Foundation member Juzo from physically assaulting Makoto.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

As mentioned previously, I have been considering if it was alright for me to have Bandai be a part of the cast due to his character being a racial stereotype towards African people (for more info, you can read on his development here: https://danganronpa.fandom.com/wiki/Daisaku_Bandai#Creation_and_Development ). But after asking and chatting with those who could feel affected by his portrayal and design, I was given the okay and the go-ahead to have him up as a role, but only if changes are made to his design (which I was planning on to do if it was alright regardless) and more depth to his character. I don’t have anything fleshed out just yet because I don’t want to write any changes that may still be stereotypical but just know that he will be given a bit of a redesign.

Honestly, I’m open to any interpretation of his voice! I’ll still list the scenes he’s in below for an idea of what he sounds like (including the stage play for this one. Just note his voice is SUPER high-pitched), but since I did have some say they had an issue with his higher voice Im open for personal interpretation for Bandai’s voice as well - whatever makes you most comfortable!

Koichi Kizakura is a character in Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope’s Peak High, and his title is the former Ultimate Talent Scout. Koichi is a relaxed, passive, and whimsical man who chooses not to get involved in arguments. He is sometimes carefree to a fault; before the events of the Tragedy, he was shown to be somewhat irresponsible and would rather get drunk than teach a class. Despite his attitude, he is extremely loyal to the school's headmaster, Jin Kirigiri. However, Koichi is also a reliable and quick-witted person with a sharp intuition, which allows him to assess people's talents, as well as their true character. He is also very observant and intelligent, although he does not usually show it.

For his voice, I think when he speaks more seriously, I’m leaning a tone more like his JPN voice. But when speaking more casually, I’m leaning for a voice like his ENG voice (if you want more of an idea for him as well, look up Yaoko Furio from Rain Code since his ENG VA also voices him as well!)
