Firestar is a bright flame-colored tabby tom with emerald-green eyes.
Firestar was a leader of Thunderclan in the forest and the lake territories. He was born to Jake and Nutmeg, and lived as a kittypet named Rusty. He joined ThunderClan as an apprentice, receiving the name of Firepaw, and was mentored by Lionheart and Tigerclaw before being assigned to Bluestar. Fireheart earned his warrior name, and ascended to deputyship after Tigerclaw's banishment. He also mentored Cinderpelt before her injury, his nephew, Cloudtail, and Tigerclaw's son, Brambleclaw. After Bluestar's death, he rose to leader as Firestar appointing Whitestorm as his second-in-command. He later passed the role to Graystripe upon the white deputy's death during the battle against Bloodclan, and defeated Scourge. Firestar became mates with Sandstorm, and they went on a journey to rebuild Skyclan. They were successful, and upon their return, had two daughters together: Leafpool and Squirelflight.

They'll fight harder. My warriors have only one life to lose and they are willing to give it up for their Clanmates. I'm no different. My place is beside them.
I know. But make sure you're getting enough prey and rest, and remember...the final responsibility is mine. You don't hold the whole Clan in your paws. I just need you to do what you can. I'll take care of the rest
Strength doesn't have to be proved
Smudge is a plump black-and-white tom with amber eyes.
Smudge is a kittypet that resided in the Twolegplace near the old forest and the former neighbor of Firestar when he lived as a kittypet named Rusty. The two were close friends as kittens, and though Rusty's departure to join Thunderclan left Smudge saddened, he ultimately accepted his friend's decision. Despite their different paths, Smudge and Firestar remained on friendly terms whenever crossing paths. He also was friendly with a Bloodclan queen Gremlin and would let her meet Graystripe in his garden from time to time. Moons later, Smudge told stories of the clans to kittypets that inspired them to imitate some of the Clan ways, calling themselves Warriorclan.

Well, don't say I didn't warn you!
Henry told me there are all sorts of dangerous animals out there. Huge wildcats who eat live rabbits for breakfast and sharpen their claws on old bones!
Henry said he went into the woods once.
Graystripe is a dark gray tom with yellow eyes, and a stripe of darker gray fur running down his back.
Graystripe was a Thunderclan elder under Bramblestar's, the imposter's, and Squirrelflight's leaderships in the lake territories, and previously served as a warrior under Bluestar, Crookedstar, Leopardstar, Firestar, and Bramblestar in the forest and lake territories. He was born to Willowpelt and was apprenticed as Graypaw to Lionheart, quickly befriending Firepaw, a former kittypet, the two forming a lifelong friendship. After becoming a warrior, Graystripe mentored Brackenfur. While out in the forest, he was rescued by Silverstream, a Riverclan warrior, after falling through the icy river. The two often met in secret afterwards, and eventually started a relationship. Silverstream had his two kits, Featherkit and Stormkit, but died from blood loss while kitting, which devastated Graystripe. He decided to join RiverClan to be with his kits, but defected back to ThunderClan following his exile. During the midst of the battle against Bloodclan, Graystripe was made deputy, and after Firestar went on a quest, Graystripe briefly led ThunderClan alongside Cinderpelt, where he made a vow to Gremlin and helped fend off another battle with Bloodclan.

Ummm...drowning?
I can't leave my kits. Oh, they are very well cared for in the nursery. They would be safe and happy with RiverClan. But I don't think I could bear to be away from them. They remind me too much of Silverstream.
I'm sorry, Leopardstar, but Fireheart's my friend.
Oakheart is a dark, reddish-brown tom with amber eyes.
Oakheart was a warrior and deputy of Riverclan under Hailstar's and Crookedstar's leaderships respectively in the forest territories . He was born as Oakkit to Rainflower and Shellheart, along with his brother, Stormkit. He and his brother were very close, but when Stormkit broke his jaw, Oakkit was suddenly favored by their mother. Oakkit became an apprentice known as Oakpaw with his father as his mentor, and later earned his warrior name, Oakheart. Oakheart grew very close to a Thunderclan warrior, Bluefur, and they met at Fourtrees one night. Bluefur ended up pregnant with his kits, and when she decided to give them to RiverClan, he supported her lovingly and took Mistykit and Stonekit to Graypool to foster, and mourned the loss of his third kit, Mosskit.

I thought that choice would please you, Bluestar. Do you not think she was well mentored?
Thank you. I hope we get to train together soon. You're my littermate and I'll always be there for you.
But I want to know you. Everything about you-your favorite fresh-kill, your earliest memory, what you dream of....
Tigerstar is a big, dark brown tabby tom with unusually long front claws, and amber eyes.
Tigerstar was a Shadowclan leader in the forest territories, formerly the Thunderclan deputy under Bluestar, who was exiled for his attempted murder of his leader. Tigerkit was born to Pinestar and Leaopardfoot alongside his sisters, Nightkit and Mistkit, who both died after birth. Tigerpaw was apprenticed to Thisleclaw, who nurtured his ambition, and after becoming a warrior, Tigerclaw yearned for leadership. He became the mentor of Darkstripe, and during a battle over Sunningrocks, Tigerclaw murdered Redtail, the clan deputy, in hopes of receiving his position, though the act was witnessed by his apprentice, Ravenpaw. Following Lionheart's death, Tigerclaw achieved becoming deputy. He and his mate, Goldenflower, had two kits, Bramblekit and Tawnykit.

I have learned to walk in the paths of their dreams. And I have time. All the time in the world. When they have destroyed that mangy kittypet, I'll make them leaders of their Clans, and show them what true power is.
Every moment. The moment Bluestar found you, I became nothing! I have waited all this time to have my revenge! When you're dead, I can rule the Clans or kill them.
You were in my way, Redtail. It's nothing personal, but ThunderClan needs a real deputy. I'm just doing what I should have let that hawk do back when you were a 'paw.
Bluestar is a pale blue-gray she-cat with blue eyes.
Bluestar was a leader of Thunderclan in the forest territories. She was a proud and deeply committed leader. Bluekit was born to Moonflower and Stormtail alongside her sister, Snowkit. She was apprenticed early as Bluepaw with her mentor being Stonepelt. However, after a devastating battle, Moonflower was killed and Stonepelt retired, resulting in Sunfall being Bluepaw's new mentor. Goosefeather gave her a prophacy, though she didn't think much of it. After becoming a warrior, Bluefur raised Whitekit, Snowfur's kit, as her own after the death of her sister due to a Thunderpath accident while chasing off Shadowclan trespassers, and Bluefur fell for a Riverclan warrior, Oakheart, becoming pregnant with his kits. Bluefur then realized she could not be loyal to her Clan when her heart lay somewhere else. At first, she raised Mistykit, Stonekit, and Mosskit in ThunderClan with Thrushpelt acting as their father; however, in order to become deputy instead of the ambitious Thisleclaw, whom she feared would destroy ThunderClan with his thirst for battle, she gave up her kits to Oakheart to live in RiverClan, and on the journey there, Mosskit perished from the cold. Bluefur mentored Frostfur and Runningwind, and later succeeded Tawnyspots as deputy. After Sunstar's death, she became leader as Bluestar.

But remember, not even StarClan can turn aside the paws of destiny, however much we might want to.
I understand your fears, Yellowfang. But for now this secret is safest kept with us.
We can't warn them more than we have. How many times have we told them that they must face the future together?
Spottedleaf is a dark tortoiseshell-and-white she-cat with amber eyes.
Spottedleaf was a medicine cat under Bluestar's leadership in the forest territories. She was born as Spottedkit to Adderfang and Swiftbreeze alongside her littermates, Redkit and Willowkit. Initially, Spottedpaw was apprenticed to Thrushpelt; however, she decided to become a medicine cat with Featherwhisker as her new mentor. After earning her medicine cat name, Spottedleaf received a prophacy from Starclan that referred to the newcomer, Firepaw. The two felt something for each other, but they never revealed their true feelings as Spottedleaf was killed by Clawface, a Shadowclan warrior. She ascended to StarClan and particularly appeared in Fireheart's dreams. She then gave Fireheart a life for love and helped him while he rebuilt Skyclan, while also giving Leafstar one of her nine lives. During the great battle, Spottedleaf was killed by Mapleshade while protecting Sandstorm, fading away forever, which devastated Firestar.

Wait, Firepaw. StarClan spoke to me moons ago, before you joined the Clan. I sense they want me to tell you this now. They said only fire can save our Clan.
I know what it is to love, although my path was different from yours. Who knows—if I had lived, I might have suffered what you are suffering now.
When will you realize that StarClan doesn't know everything? Sometimes we have questions, too! Sometimes we're just cats, like you!
Mousefur is a small, wiry, thick, glossy, and soft-furred dusky brown she-cat with blue eyes.
Mousefur was a Thunderclan elder who served as a warrior under Bluestar's and Firestar's leaderships in the forest and the lake territories. She was born to One-eye and Halftail as Mousekit alongside her brother, Runningkit. She was later apprenticed as Mousepaw with Redtail as her mentor. As a young warrior, Mousefur participated in a Sunningrocks skirmish. She continued to fight for her Clan against Brockenstar, all the while training her first apprentice, Thornpaw. Her brother was later killed by Tigerclaw and his rogues.

Don't take it personally, Fireheart. We'd be just as curious about a change of deputy in another Clan.
The last time? Good. Go away.
I don't know anything that could help us. But my dreams have been troubled for a long time. I never thought I would live to see the end of the Clans.
Redtail is a dark tortoiseshell tom with a bushy dark ginger tail and amber eyes.
Redtail was a Thunderclan deputy under Bluestar's leadership in the forest territories. He was born as Redkit to Swiftbreeze and Adderfang alongside his sisters, Willowkit and Spottedkit. As an apprentice, Redpaw was mentored by Halftail and felt loyalty to Tigerclaw when the tom saved him from a hawk. However, after becoming a warrior, Redtail realized Tigerclaw's true intentions and stopped having any loyalty towards him. He mentored Mousefur and Dustpelt and later became Bluestar's first deputy. Thereafter, over a battle at Sunningrocks, Tigerclaw murdered Redtail in hopes of becoming deputy. Redtail ascended to Starclan and thanked Fireheart for revealing the truth over his death, giving him one of his nine lives. He took part in the battle against the Dark Forest, and, later, he ventured into the Dark forest to help defeat Ashfur.

Thank you. You revealed the truth when no other cat could.
Are we supposed to be impressed by these confessions? What's the point in being sorry? You shouldn't have done it in the first place.
I am worried about Bluefur. Your stupid grudge almost got her killed. And I don't owe you anything anymore.
Lionheart is a golden tabby tom with green eyes, and thick fur like a lion's mane.
Lionheart was a deputy of Thunderclan under Bluestar's leadership in the forest territories. He was born to Speckletail and Smallear as Lionkit along with his sister, Goldenkit. He became an apprentice as Lionpaw with Swiftbreeze as his mentor. During his apprenticeship, he witnessed Pinestar visiting the Twolegplace, and he later convinced Pinestar to tell the clan the truth about him leaving to become a kittypet. Because of his courage and wisdom, Pinestar said that he would have named him Lionheart. Sunstar granted the former leader's quest and named him Lionheart when he became a warrior. Lionheart fathered Frostfur's kits: Brackenfur, Cinderpelt, Thornclaw and Brightheart. He also mentored Graypaw as his first apprentice, training him alongside Firepaw when the kittypet joined ThunderClan, and the senior warrior was known for his wisdom and nobility. After Redtail died, Bluestar made Lionheart deputy; however, he died due to his wounds after Shadowclan attacked ThunderClan's camp to steal his kits. He ascended to Starclan and granted Firestar and Bramblestar one of their nine lives. He also fought in the great battle alongside his former Clanmates.

Understand that Bluestar does not make this offer lightly. If you wish you train with us, we will take you to our Clan. You must either live with us and respect our ways, or return to your Twolegplace and never come back. You cannot live with a paw in each world.
I love snowy days... Everything looks so clean and bright.
We have come to give you strength.
Whitestorm is a snowy-white tom with yellow eyes.
Whitestorm was a Thunderclan deputy under Firestar and also served under Bluestar's leadership in the forest territories. He was born as Whitekit to Snowfur and Thisleclaw, and shortly thereafter, his mother was killed by a monster. He was then fostered by Robinwing alongside Brindlekit and Frostkit; however, it was Bluefur who mainly took care of him. He was apprenticed as Whitepaw to Patchpelt and later earned his warrior name, Whitestorm. He fathered Brindleface's kits, Ashkit, Fernkit, Elderkit, and Tulipkit before later mentoring Sandstorm and Brightheart. He later became mates with Willowpelt and the two had three kits, Sorrokit, Sootkit, and Rainkit. Despite blaming himself for Bluestar's death, Whitestorm was chosen as Firestar's first deputy, and fought in the battle against Bloodclan; however, when he was killed by Bone, Whitestorm chose Graystripe as his successor, and ascended to Starclan.

I remember [Snowfur's] smell and the warmth of lying beside her. Having you around kept her memory alive. You carried the same scent and sometimes, even now, I see my mother in the twitch of your whiskers or the flick of your tail.
Sorrelkit, Sootkit, and Rainkit.
I blame myself for what happened to Bluestar.
Princess is a light brown tabby she-cat with a distinctive white chest and paws, green eyes, fluffy and soft fur, and a thick tail.
Princess is a kittypet who lives in the Twolegplace near the forest territories. She was born to Jake and Nutmeg alongside several littermates including her brother, Firestar. She became mates with Oliver and gave birth to his five kits, Nami, Livy, Taylor, Zack, and Cloudtail. Princess gave Fireheart her first-born, Cloudtail, to be raised in Thunderclan. Firestar and Cloudtail occasionally visited Princess until the Clans moved to the lake territories on the the Great Journey.

It sounds as if you enjoy life. I should go. They'll be worried if I don't go back, and I have many tiny mouths to feed. I can feel them moving inside me
. . . our brothers and sisters? Most of them live near here. I see them in their gardens from time to time.
You seem like a Clanborn cat to me. But if you're not happy in the Clan, you can always come home with me. My housefolk would look after you, I'm sure.
Longtail is a lean, pale brown tabby tom with black stripes and green eyes. He has a "V"-shaped nick in his left ear, and a long tail.
Longtail was a Thunderclan elder who lived under Firestar's leadership in the forest and lake territory's and previously served as a warrior under Bluestar and Firestar. He was born to Robinwing and Patchpelt as Longkit, and he was later apprenticed to Darkstripe as Longpaw. As a warrior, Longtail was one of Tigerclaw's strongest supporters, and he challenged Firepaw when he first joined ThunderClan, but was defeated by the kittypet. After Tigerclaw's betrayal, Longtail refused to join him, slowly earning Fireheart's respect. After his apprentice, Swiftpaw, was killed by Tigerstar's dogs, Longtail further turned his back on him. He gained Ferncloud as an apprentice and later became a mentor to Sootfur. Longtail was blinded by a rabbit and forced to retire early, but remained valued by the Clan. Longtail formed a close bond with his fellow elders, Mousefur and Purdy, but was killed by a falling tree. He ascended to StarClan and reunited with Mousefur during the battle against dark forest. He was saddened when Mousefur was killed by a Dark Forest tom and killed him in turn.

Look at his collar! He's a kittypet! Once a kittypet, always a kittypet. This Clan needs wild-born warriors to defend it, not another soft mouth to feed.
Tigerstar was a great warrior. He was the strongest cat in the forest and the best fighter. When I was a young cat, I thought he would be the next leader of ThunderClan. I wanted to be just like him.
He never seemed to get tired. Always first up and ready to move on. Never afraid of what lay ahead.
Darkstripe is a large, lean, sleek, and thin-furred dark gray tabby tom with black stripes and yellow eyes.
Darkstripe was a former ThunderClan warrior who served under Bluestar's and Firestar's leaderships in the forest territory's. He was born to Willowpelt as Darkkit and later apprenticed to Tigerclaw as Darkpaw. As a warrior, Darkstripe mentored Longtail, Dustpelt, and Ferncloud. Darkstripe was a staunch supporter of Tigerstar, eventually joining him in Tigerclan after being exiled for attempting to poison Sorrelkit with deathberries after she accidentally followed him while he was going to meet Blackfoot in secret. He assisted in killing Stonefur with Blackfoot under Tigerstar's orders when Stonefur refused to kill Featherpaw and Stormpaw to prove his loyalty to TigerClan. During the battle against Bloodclan, Darkstripe was killed by Graystripe and descended to the dark forest. He helped train many cats in preparation for the Great Battle; however, after their defeat, he returned to the Dark Forest. Many seasons later, Darkstripe worked under Ashfur to guard the many spirits of fallen warriors trapped in the Dark Forest under Ashfur's control. When Bramblestar and Rootspring rescued Squirrelflight from the island, Rootspring flung Darkstripe into the dark waters. He managed to escape, but Rootspring later killed him while Firestar possessed his body.

Not anymore. Every cat in the forest can turn to crowfood for all I care. All I want is to see you dead.
…Why is it always dark here? Where is the moon?…I thought we would be hunting across the sky with our warrior ancestors, and watching over our Clanmates.
We did not! Greencough killed her. She was old and weak. We are the important cats; we should eat first. Do you want to do what's best for your Clan?
Halftail is a big, broad-shouldered, dark brown tabby tom with patchy fur, yellow eyes, and part of his tail missing.
Halftail was a ThunderClan elder under Bluestar's leadership in the forest territories and previously served as a warrior under Pinestar and Sunstar. Originally named Sparrowpelt, he mentored Snowfur and Redtail and became mates with One-eye, having two kits, Mousekit and Runningkit. After losing half of his tail from a badger, Sparrowpelt's name was changed to Halftail, eventually retiring to the elder's den. Halftail, along with the other elders, were worried about Fireheart's unorthodox deputyship, and following a fire that ravaged through ThunderClan's camp, Halftail was trapped. However, despite Yellowfang's best efforts to save him, he succumbed to smoke inhalation and ascended to StarClan.

Where does he come from?
Share a little with us!
After all, we can't have our growing apprentice warriors going hungry
One-eye is a pale gray she-cat who is virtually blind and deaf. A knotted scar covers the lid of her missing eye, and her remaining eye is yellow.
One-eye was a Thunderclan elder who served as a warrior under Pinestar's and Sunstar's leaderships in the forest territories. Whitekit and Specklekit were born to Harepounce and Stagleap but were later fostered by Rainfur after their mother died during the Great Hunger. Whitepaw was mentored by Smallear, though her cloudy eye didn't prevent her from becoming a warrior, later named White-eye. She gave birth to Sparrowpelt's kits, Mousekit and Runningkit. When she retired to the elders' den, her name was changed to One-eye. One-eye and her mate, now named Halftail, lived in the elders' den together during Bluestar's and Firestar's leaderships, where she also taught Firestar about the name changing ceremony. She later joined StarClan after her death.

I don't recognize that clan scent!
It's not the dryness that bothers me, it's all the Twolegs out in the forest. I've never heard so many crashing around, scaring off prey, and ruining our scent markers with their stench. A bit of rain might drive them away.
I was really old when they changed my name to One-eye, and to be honest I don't care what they call me so long as they bring the fresh-kill on time. But it's different for a young cat.
Dustpelt is a dirt-colored dark brown tabby tom with amber eyes.
Dustpelt was a ThunderClan that served under Bluestar's, Firestar's, and Bramblestar's leaderships in the forest and lake territories. He was born to Fuzzypelt and Robinwing as Dustkit alongside his brother, Ravenkit. As an apprentice, Dustpaw was mentored by Redtail and was saddened by his death and later received Darkstripe as his second mentor. Dustpaw was critical of the former kittypet, Firepaw, bullying him along with Sandpaw. He grew close to Tigerclaw, Darkstripe, and Longtail, who reinforced his hatred of Firepaw. However, when it was revealed that Tigerclaw killed Redtail, Dustpelt turned on him, insisting that he was loyal to ThunderClan.
- male teen
I looked up to you. I wanted to be like you. But Redtail was my mentor. I owe him more than any cat. And you killed him. You killed him and betrayed the Clan. I'd rather die than follow you.
ShadowClan has already tried to take territory from us because we are no longer a pure forest-born Clan
That is not where I want to be. Thank you, Bramblestar, for everything. May StarClan light your path, always.
Ravenpaw is a sleek-furred black tom with white on his chest and tail and green eyes.
Ravenpaw was a loner who lived on Barley's farm with Barley, formerly an apprentice of ThunderClan under Bluestar's leadership in the forest territories. He was born to Robinwing and Fuzzypelt alongside his brother, Dustpelt. As an apprentice, Ravenpaw was mentored by Tigerclaw and witnessed him murder Redtail, with Tigerclaw threatening to keep him quiet. When Firepaw joined ThunderClan, the two apprentices became close alongside Graypaw. Fearing that Ravenpaw would be killed, Graypaw and Firepaw took him to live in a barn with Barley to protect him from Tigerclaw, with Ravenpaw eventually growing close to the loner, and they helped each other overcome their pasts. When BloodClan came to the forest, Ravenpaw and Barley assisted Firestar in defeating Scourge.

Because the RiverClan deputy didn't kill Redtail. Tigerclaw did
Thank you. But I already have a name. I'm proud to have been Ravenpaw all my life, and I see no reason to change it now.
But ...! I turned my back on the Clans! And on you! I don't deserve their loyalty. I'm not a Clan cat now.
Sandstorm is a pale ginger she-cat with barely visible stripes of darker fur, and leaf-green eyes.
Sandstorm was a ThunderClan elder who served as a warrior under Bluestar's, Firestar's, and Bramblestar's leaderships in the forest and lake territories. She was born as Sandkit and was later apprenticed as Sandpaw to Whitestorm. She constantly teased the newcomer, Firepaw, a former kittypet, and after Fireheart saved her life, Sandpaw grew to respect him. After becoming a warrior, Sandstorm grew closer to Fireheart and mentored Sorreltail. Eventually, Firestar became her mate, and together, they journeyed to rebuild SkyClan, where she was their unofficial medicine cat. Afterwards, she had two kits, Squirrelkit and Leafkit, and mentored Honeyfern at the lake.

Smells like a kittypet! Don't tell me I'm going to have to share my nest with that revolting stench!
One of my kits has returned! […] You're back. That's all I care about. I wondered if I'd ever see you again.
You wait. I'll be the crankiest elder the Clans have ever seen. Mousefur will seem sweet and gentle next to me!
Dappletail is a broad-shouldered, dappled tortoiseshell-and-white she-cat with white patches, a patchy, thick, shiny pelt, amber eyes, and a muzzle gray with age.
Dappletail was a ThunderClan elder under Bluestar's and Firestar's leaderships, and briefly Graystripe in the forest territories, having previously served as a warrior under Pinestar and Sunstar. Dapplekit was born to Windflight and Rainfur alongside Tawnykit and Thrushkit. She was apprenticed as Dapplepaw with Windflight as her mentor, and became a warrior as Dappletail, mentoring Goldenflower. She gave birth to Runningwind's kits, Cricketkit and Featherkit, the latter of whom was deaf. After living for many moons as an elder, Dappletail died from eating a rabbit that had been poisoned by Twolegs during the destruction of the forest, where she ascended to StarClan.

Your kin is very efficient, Fireheart.
What will StarClan think of a Clan whose deputy turns against it, and whose new deputy was named after moonhigh? It looks as if we can't keep our cats loyal, or even carry out the proper ceremonies.
White cats with blue eyes are often deaf. I remember one of my first litter...
