Project Overview

Welcome to both new and returning auditionees!  Part 1 of the project is complete, Part 2 is in production, and now we are starting up the third and final part of the project!

SUMMARY (part three):

Two years after the Pevensies left Narnia in Caspian's and Cassia's hands, Lucy and Edmund live with their aunt, uncle, and horrible cousin, Eustace.  Eva lives with a relative nearby and spends more time with the siblings than without.  She and Edmund still remain in a strong loving relationship, while Lucy yearns for someone to love her the way Elaine, Susan, and Eva all have someone to love them.  At their uncle's home lives the family's housekeeper, Elizabeth.  Susan has gone abroad with her parents, and Peter and Elaine are now officially married in England and living together as husband and wife.

A painting in Lucy's bedroom whisks Lucy, Edmund, Eva, Eustace, and Elizabeth to Narnia where they are greeted by Caspian and the rest of his crew aboard his ship, The Dawn Treader.  Five years have passed in Narnia since they left.

They learn that Caspian is sailing to find seven missing lords.  Their voyage takes them to several islands, and they come to find that an evil darkness is spreading all throughout the land.  While helping out the people on each island and finding the missing lords, all of the passengers find themselves confronting their darkest fears.  If they do not learn to defeat the darkness both in Narnia and in themselves, it could destroy everything and everyone they love.

RULES:

1) I am always willing to be flexible with deadlines as I understand real life has to come first, but I also won't wait around forever and will recast if you prove to be unreliable.

2) Give me emotion and feeling in your audition!  I have always leaned more towards voice actors who exhibit true passion in their voice.

3) Please be open to the idea of accepting a role you did not originally audition for.

4) Some minor characters and all extras will read for multiple characters.

5) Mic quality will play a huge role in casting decisions.  If you receive a better microphone, you will need to submit a new audition rather than just tell me you have one.

6) When I cast roles, I also look at your CCC profile.  The style of it (i.e. good grammar, the amount of information you supply, a profile picture) can influence my casting decision.

7) Communication will be done mostly through email, so you must have an email address that you check regularly.  I will send cast-wide updates through Discord, so while one is recommended, it is NOT REQUIRED to audition.

    There were so many extras in one chapter that I didn't have enough people to fill them out and decided to add three more voices to the cast! You won't be part of the group chat on CCC, but we'll only be using that for five seconds so you won't be missing anything.

    Everyone cast except for the extras should've received an email notifying you. All cast members will have until February 9th to accept your role by providing me with your email address and Discord, if available. You can do so either in a private message or in the Project DM which all cast members should now be part of. If I do not hear from you by then, I will assume that you are declining the role and will go about casting another actor to take your place.

Elizabeth is the Scrubbs's housekeeper and has worked there for one year.  When she goes to Narnia with the others and steps aboard the Dawn Treader, there is an immediate attraction between her and Caspian.  She is the kindest and gentlest person and never complains about anything, even all of Eustace's demands.  However, beneath her smile lays a scared and defeated young woman.  Prior to becoming the Scrubbs's housekeeper, Elizabeth worked for a man named Martin who physically and emotionally abused her for almost two entire years, and she has never fully recovered from the trauma.  The longer she stays in Narnia, she starts to learn to trust people again, namely Caspian, and finds herself attracted to the young king as much as he is taken with her.  Caspian is extremely patient with her and is instrumental in helping her to see her worth and love herself again, and he ends up being the first one she confesses the details of her past to.  At the end of the story, Elizabeth decides to stay in Narnia with Caspian so she can continue to grow and heal.  In an Epilogue, she meets and befriends Caspian's sister, Cassia.

Eustace is Edmund and Lucy's cousin with whom the Pevensies are staying for several months.  He is annoying, spoiled, entitled, selfish, and arrogant.  No one except Elizabeth can stand to be near him for very long.  He remains an incredibly disagreeable person once he is taken to Narnia with the others, and only begins to finally realize how bad he is acting when he is turned into a dragon on the third island they come across.  He is especially cruel to Elizabeth, but it is later revealed that this is because Eustace is scared people will abandon him so he treats them poorly as if they already had.  Elizabeth always treats him kindly because she can see his hidden fears because she has them too.  They develop a familial bond over their time in Narnia, and Eustace is sad that he won't see her again when they part ways once she decides to stay in Narnia, but happy that she has found where she belongs.

Drinian is the Captain of the Dawn Treader.  He runs a tight ship, but he also allows his crew members to watch their kings spar or lets them dance around when they need to lift their spirits.  He is one of Caspian's closest comrades and will do whatever it takes to protect not only his king, but all of his passengers.

Martin is Elizabeth's previous employer.  He fought in World War I and was a decorated veteran, but an injury prevented him from fighting again or finding other work.  This, coupled with his wife working as a nurse, is all a large blow to his pride, and shortly after Elizabeth starts working for him, he begins to take his anger out on her.  It starts with a slap and ends with Martin forcing Elizabeth to skip meals, spend hours locked in a closet, endure multiple beatings, and listen to him tell her everyday how worthless she is.  Martin appears to Elizabeth in the form of the green mist later on in the story, and Elizabeth is finally able to confront him and what he did to her and begin to move on from her past trauma.

The Chief of the Dufflepuds on Coriakin's island.  The Dufflepuds are initially invisible creatures who abduct Lucy and Elizabeth and force them into Coriakin's mansion to recite a spell that will make them visible again.  The Chief is very gruff and abrupt, but as soon as the creatures are revealed to be rather small, he folds pretty quickly when Edmund confronts him.

Rhince is a man from the Lone Islands.  While imprisoned, Caspian watches as his wife is taken from him and offered to the mist.  When Rhince begs to come along so he can find his wife, Caspian allows him to join their crew.  Rhince is an avid sailor who immediately fits in on the ship.  Shortly after he joins, he discovers that his daughter Gael stowed away on the ship to be with him.  He and Gael are reunited with their wife and mother when the lost Narnians are recovered.

Coriakin is a magician on the second island the Dawn Treader reaches.  The Dufflepud creatures fear him and call him The Oppressor because he made them invisible, but Coriakin actually made them invisible to protect them from the evil mist growing all over Narnia.  He cares about them and wants to protect them even if they don't recognize or appreciate his efforts.  He lives in a huge invisible mansion on the island surrounded by thousands of books and magic.  He warns the travelers that they will not be able to defeat the evil mist if they do not defeat the darkness in themselves first.

Lord Bern is the first missing lord that Caspian and his crew find on the Lone Islands.  He has been imprisoned for a number of years by the slave traders and is weakened and starved by the time he is found.  When Caspian, Edmund, and Eva are imprisoned with him, he explains to them what the mist is and how the lords tried to defeat it but were lost trying.  After the Lone Islands are saved, Lord Bern presents Caspian with a sword from Narnia's Golden Age and instructs him to find six others which will help them defeat the mist.

Diana is Martin's wife.  She is only seen in a flashback when Elizabeth worked for the both of them.  Diana is a nurse at the local hospital, and while she always had a feeling something was wrong, she didn't want to believe her husband could be abusing someone.  But when she finds Elizabeth locked in the closet, she can't deny the truth any longer and immediately takes Elizabeth out of the house and to the Scrubb's house even though it is the middle of the night.  She apologizes for not acting sooner and promises Elizabeth that she doesn't have to worry about Martin anymore.
