[PAID] One Piece: FAN LETTER - FANDUB!
Project Overview
INTRODUCTION:
To celebrate the One Piece anime's 25th anniversary, Toei released a special episode titled "One Piece: Fan Letter". A special episode that made its focal point the civilians and normal folk of the One Piece world rather than the Strawhats. The result was one of the most well-directed animated episodes of all time! This special means a lot to me as a fan of the anime, so I thought it'd be a lot of fun to create a fandub for it!

THE STORY:
As the Straw Hat Pirates reunite on the Sabaody Archipelago, various members of the island's population go about their lives, being drawn into the chaos. All the while, Nami's biggest fan, a little girl named Manami, does her best to get her Fan Letter to her idol!

Note for future actors of Manami, Breeze, and Reef:
There will be live direction involved! It would be nigh impossible to finish this fandub without at least some direction, so only audition if you're comfortable with that.
Your audition must have good audio quality with little to no background noise. If it has noticeable background noise, it will not be considered and will be immediately dismissed.
Meeting deadlines is important, but communicate with me if you cannot meet said deadline! We can work things out as long as there is communication.
Communication is key! If I can't get in touch with you after long periods of time consistently, then I will be forced to let someone else take the role.

CHARACTER DESC:
The heart and soul of the special. Manami is a 12 year old delivery girl whose fiery passion for pirates is ignited when she lays her eyes on Nami the Cat Burglar Pirate's bounty poster. Much like Nami, Manami is very clever and expressive, as well as being pretty quick to anger. She's very passionate about both Nami and the Strawhats and is the biggest fangirl/nerd when it comes to anything relating to the crew. She's loud, energetic, and has the fiery freedom-seeking spirit of a pirate, despite not being one herself. Nami gives Manami the will to believe that she can be so much more and live her life to the fullest no matter how dangerous it may seem. That's why she'll do everything in her power to get Nami her fan letter. I'm very open to interpretation of her voice here, though I do think it'd be worth watching the special in its entirety to understand the character even further. Balancing her youthful passionate energy and comical prone-ness to anger are both musts!

(Manami's letter to Nami/Said with passion and admiration) Dear Ms.Nami, you’re a very special pirate! Our world is dominated by brutes and barbarians who can only rely on their strength or devil fruit powers to succeed...But you always manage to outsmart them with your wits and cunning! Ms. Nami, you’re my hero! I hope.. that you continue to go on wonderful adventures!
(In response to her grandma asking "Why can't you be more like the nice farmers market marines huh?"/Comically angry and frustrated) I already told ya granny, I’m nothing like those veggie-loving marine dorks!
(Said with intense determination as she finishes off her letter) Ms. Nami, you're my hero! In this world where strength is everything, even if I get hurt and trampled on, I still want to struggle, to run, TO LIVE AS FREELY AS I CAN! I came to think that way because of you, so please...CONTINUE TO HAVE WONDERFUL ADVENTURES, MS.NAMI!
CHARACTER DESC:
Reef is a marine and the older brother to Breeze. Much unlike his carefree brother, Reef takes his role as a marine deadly seriously. Often chastising his comrades for talking about pirates in any other context outside of hatred. Despite this, Reef actually owes his new-found courage to a pirate. During the Paramount War, Breeze was trapped in a fatal situation, when death seemed all but assured for him, he begged Reef to escape to safety. Reef, terrified, almost listened to his brother's plea, but witnessing Luffy's bravery and determination to save his brother, gave him the strength he needed to do the same for his own. Because of this, Reef feels like he owes a lot to Luffy, despite them being enemies in the grand scheme of things. If Manami is the soul of this special, then Reef is the heart. His monologue about how Luffy's actions affected him is arguably the most emotionally charged scene in the episode, so get ready to ACT if you're planning on going for him!

(Doing some Self reflection/Increasing in emotion as he continues) If Gold Roger had never triggered the start to this new era...If Fire Fist Ace was never caught...If we hadn't been chosen to fight in this war...Every little thing is changing my life little by little, and I can't help but wonder.. If I can survive this, will I ever be able to make an impact on someone's life someday? (In reference to Luffy) Like he did, for me?
(Seeing his hero in action again after 2 years/With a smirk) Oh wow, so the king's returned huh?
(Menacing/Glaring at his peers who were geeking out over pirates) Are you guys, really supporting the enemy?
CHARACTER DESC:
Breeze is a navy officer and the younger brother to Reef, who he loves to tease relentlessly. Breeze is a very laid-back individual, hardly ever taking even the most serious of situations truly seriously unless his brother's involved. He's known to joke around with his fellow navy soldiers, rarely ever dropping his carefree attitude.

(Smugly/Joking) So.. what would happen if I lost this super important letter huh? (He looks up to see his commanding officer giving him a death stare and he stands at attention in fear) I WILL NEVER EVER LOSE THIS IMPORTANT LETTER, SIR!

CHARACTER DESC:
Sadie is a huge fan of the musician Soul King, but she rarely shows it, aside from her hair which she partially modeled after his. She works at the local library and is typically in a state of constant annoyance due to the constant stream of rude customers she has to face. If you’ve ever worked a 9-5 then harness that “I’m so done with this” energy for this role.

CHARACTER DESC:
THE KING OF WAVES earned his proud title after braving the icy and dangerous waters of the Paramount War, protecting his entire squadron from it. Quite literally beating the water by punching and destroying it. He's intimidating, he's powerful, and he's secretly obsessed with all things cutesy and adorable! This includes Tony Tony Chopper, the Strawhat "mascot" whom he finds the cutest. Have fun with this role! He's a very large and menacing person usually, so it'll be important to give him a voice that can fit that description, while also having the range to geek out over everything and anything cute, specifically Chopper in this case!
(Seriously) That’s not just any letter private. That, is the key to this archipelago’s safety. Deliver it promptly, and handle it with care.
[Fanboying, trying to keep his composure] SO CUTEEE!! Damn it, he’s so adowable I’m caught off guard every time I see him! Alas, Chopper is a pirate, and I a Navy soldier. We’re like oil and water yet...GAH, I COULD NEVER CAPTURE YOU EVEN IF I DID GET THE CHANCE!
(Extreme exertion and determination as he attempts to lift something heavy) I MUST DO THIS FOR MY TROOPS, MY SENSE OF JUSTICE, MY CHOPPER!

CHARACTER DESC:
A goofy marine who survived the Paramount war, and uses his (honestly pretty traumatic) experience to more accurately power-scale the strongest of the pirates. He's very expressive, so have fun with it!
(Shaking with fear) Is this hell...
(Confidently) It's Mihawk, I'm sure of it! He's definitely the strongest!
(Laughing/Taunting) HAHA! Zoro being the strongest? What are you, stupid!? That fraud's been dead for 2 years now Felix!

CHARACTER DESC:
A citizen from Sabaody who's friends with Matt the marine. Due to his larger build I imagine him having a bit of a gruff-er voice.
(Laughing at a joke about Zoro) BWAHAHA, YOU'RE KILLING ME! What kinda swordsman uses three swords anyway!?
(Angrily) Hey, no shoving!
(Blunt) Nope, the strongest is Vista the Rose.
