Danganronpa: Antebellum (Casting call)
Project Overview
General
Danganronpa: Antebellum is a fangan project that is currently in production, the game will be modelled after danganronpa with RPG and puzzle solving elements both features in the trials. It is currently in production and is in its very early stages, however production on the prologue is currently steadily progressing. If everything goes to plan it is possible the prologue could be ready by this winter.
The project is currently looking for writers, background artists, artists, voice actors, editors, graphic designers, pixel artists and people to promote the project and run the various social media accounts associated with it.
Storywise
16 students wake up in a strange, seemingly abandoned ancient laboratory- a strange haze appears to fill the entire building... but slowly and surely it becomes unnoticeable. This 16 students have all committed a crime sometime in their life and have been on the run from it for a while... not like they'll let their fellow students know it. Soon enough they find themselves thrown into a killing game in this strange laboratory and one by one start to get punished for their crimes...

Shinku Kutsuki is the Ultimate writer and Protagonist of this fangame.

He is an incredibly talented writer who often overworks himself to uphold his talents. He's a rather socially awkward and shy boy but he tries his best to be fairly friendly. He finds it incredibly hard to sleep as he often feels guilty at night that he's not working and his mind is constantly buzzing with new ideas and things that he needs to get down on paper before he forgets them. He tries his best to be polite and isn't too easily scared but often overthinks every word he speaks and then stays awake worrying about what he could've said differently. That being said, Shinku is rather smart and has clearly worked very hard for his Ultimate title.

"Uhhh, hi! I’m Shinku Kutsuki- the Ultimate Writer. Ever since I wrote my first sentence- I found myself needing to write more and more and more and more and- Uhhh- I think you get the point. I wrote books, pamphlets, poems, plays- everytime I wrote people would demand I write more. So I did- and eventually I became an ultimate. I always wanted to make people feel- something- with my writing… but I never wanted to cause harm… s-so how did we e-end up here-?"

Lyra Shatel is the Ultimate Debatist. She is a confident, slightly cocky, impulsive, thrill-seeking girl. She tends to do things for fun and rarely cares nor considers the consequences, or at least doesn't appear to consider the consequences. She's annoyingly good at contributing in trials, having very strong opinions and shooting down other arguments quickly- even if they're right. Despite her confidence she secretly has a lot of insecurities and is fairly familiar with breakdowns, using her confident persona as a mask for her true flaws and self loathing.

Rei Higashi is the Ultimate Mentalist. He is a cunning and intelligent Mentalist prodigy. Rei has a like for being loved by people unconditionally- often not to give the people he befriends joy but instead to fulfil his need to feel special and loved. He tends to view people as tools first before humans. However, occasionally there are people he genuinely cares for and loves unconditionally. Behind all his masks he's a scared little boy who just wants to be loved.
But what he's willing to do for the people he genuinely cares for- can often creep out and deter the people he holds so dear.

Emilia Carmine is the Ultimate Pyrotechnician but prefers to be called the Ultimate Arsonist.
She is a bubbly but stubborn, hot-headed and sarcastic young lady. She's a master of pyrotechnics and knows all the mechanics and science behind fire. She's not very respectful of personal boundaries and often accidentally makes jokes at others expense... usually to make herself feel better. She's got a bit of a height complex and gets really mad very easily when people call her a little girl. Leading on from this, Emilia is quick to defend someone if anyone makes fun of the way they look and she does not condone nor tolerate bullying.

Taka Takahiro is the Ultimate TV Personality.
He is a TV Personality who's most famously known for hosting several gameshows. Taka is loud and seemingly never stops talking, this has made him slightly unpopular with Younger Viewers. He's most popular with old people, however he wishes to improve to branch out to his younger target audience. Taka can be quite cynical and is always looking for a story to tell, he has quite bad performance anxiety and feels he doesn't deserve the fame he gets. He puts on a smiley persona most of the time, but secretly despises pandering to old people and cares mostly about the money.

Takiko Ushina is the Ultimate Little Sister.
She works as a little sister for hire. Takiko Is generally a bubbly person, always eerily happy- almost never not smiling. She loves making other people happy and craves other people's smiles. She doesn't exactly know how to handle negative emotions and tends to go into laughing fits when she's incredibly upset, The girl tries to act younger than she is, mainly in an attempt to get people to protect her as she's seemingly very weak. She often bursts into long speeches about friendship that tend to annoy almost everyone. Takiko also tries to avoid romance at every opportunity, especially other people who are in love with eachother. Despite everything and her childish attitude, Takiko has a surprisingly cynical view on life and her humour can be described as dark.

Kotaro Chishiki is the Ultimate Encyclopaedia.
Kotaru is a very bright young boy, growing up he was fairly sickly so he spent ages inside studying various books. Due to this, Kotaro knows loads of random facts- but he lacks any common sense. Kotaro is a bit of a scatterbrain and doesn't really understand other's boundaries but he tries his best to understand others and improve his social skills. He may be a bit of an idiot sometimes and doesn't really know the appropriate way to response to violence but he's trying.

Alora Asami is the Ultimate Chemist.
She was a prodigy from a young age, inventing medication to 'fix' people. She's very keen on the ideas of efficiency, perfection and purity. She's very blunt in general and will avoid conversations whenever possible. From an outside eye it appears Alora doesn't display nor feel a single emotion and holds no particular person above another. In class trials she can easily work out how a murder was committed but has difficulty working out the culprit as she often can't figure out motives.

Mint Byrne is the Ultimate Herbalist.
Mint is a timid and shy world renowned Herbalist. He isn't very good with people and tends to prefer taking with plants, caring for them as if they were his own children. He often gets lost in his gardening and making his own herbal remedies that he forgets the very world around him. However, he will speak to other people but only when spoken to first. He has a rather friendly attitude during conversations but can be overly polite and apologise for the smallest things- and the tiniest comments about him can make him very upset.
"Heavens no, but she does look strangely like her- A-anyway! Uhm, oh gosh- sorry- I appear to have forgotten my words..- Oh right-! I’m- M- Wait a moment- Mymy-! Y-young miss, that laurel you’re wearing- is that- oh mymy- it’s palm leaf! How wonderful- I could make many a remedy with this-! But it does suit your hair- would be a nice base though- you have excellent choice in leaves!"

Maiko Yuzuki is the Ultimate Voice Actress.
Maiko is a well known voice actress, voicing roles in over 150 shows/movies/games/advertisements in only the last 3 years. Her most popular role is a magical girl character she voices called Melody Pretty. The fame she got from playing Melody Pretty got into her head, causing Maiko to convince herself that she is in fact Melody Pretty. She acts like Melody Pretty, she dresses like Melody pretty, she only eats foods Melody Pretty ate in the anime. Will Maiko one day be able to remember who she was before she convinced herself she was a magical girl?

Kiyoshi is the Ultimate Sculptor.
Kiyoshi is a master sculptor with hundreds of his creations showcased in museums around the world. He has developed a slight ego due to his success and believes he is smarter than a majority of people. Although Kiyoshi mostly remains quiet, he is fairly vocal about his search for new things to sculpt. Due to the sheer amount of art that Kiyoshi has created he is now bored by most things he sculpts- he's captivated, however, by emotion and more so the lack there of it... he's on a quest for the perfect subject/muse to sculpt something so perfect that it is above all conceivable emotion.

Asuga is the Ultimate Ringleader.
Asuga is a very outgoing and loud girl who loves talking. She's actually pretty cautious and insecure about most things but she doesn't mention it nor show it directly. She's a fairly spunky girl and can't stay on one topic for too long. Despite the fact this Circus Owner seemingly always is on an eternal sugar rush she's actually fairly mature and empathetic. Many people see Asuga as a sort of big sister figure in their life and aspire to be like her and have her seemingly unending energy. She seems to love what she does unconditionally and doesn't care what others think.
"Awww, you found me! Jeez, can’t a girl stay on the ceiling in peace around here?"

Eiichi is the Ultimate Gacha Game Player.
Eiichi is a kind and sweet individual who's a master of all gacha games- he plays all sorts of Gacha games from Gacha RPGs to rhythm gachas. He loves the rush he gets when he pulls units and tries his best to help others feel the same rush. He works part time at a gym to fund his gacha addiction and he finds it hard to hold back on the spending when a seasonal unit appears. He tries his best to practice self restraint, though. He's always encouraging others to work on bettering themselves with dealing with their bad habits.
NOTE: The Gacha his character refers to is NOT gacha life or gacha club, his talent and actions refer to the mobile game genre that originates from japan called Gacha which is defined by spending in game currency to play a lottery to get new characters or gear.
"Ultimate Writer? That's so cool! I wish I had that cool of a talent, I'm Eiichi Sakaguchi- I'm the Ultimate... Ultimate uhm- Yeah just- don't mock me because of my talent, okay?"

Yui Aoide is the Ultimate Conductor.
Yui is a sweet and generally optimistic girl, she's a talented conductor who's conducted many of the world's most famous orchestras. Due to this she's also become fairly good at 'conducting people', she's quick to resolve arguments and break up fights. Despite her friendly nature, Yui can be rather bossy and even somewhat controlling- but she can assure you that it comes from a place of affection. She has a Princess Complex and hates being seen as plain, often coming off as very vain when it comes to her looks.
"Hm? Hm? Hmmmm? Ohhh- Drac and that… girl- yeah! Of course I did, they were very lovely to me- a quartet of kindness indeed! They just entered the hall- them entering makes 12 students in there! All with Ultimate talents and unique melodies~"
"Oh? You don’t know me already? I’m Yui Aoide- the Super special Ultimate Conductor! Yes! Yes! My Orchestras are famous, they’ve played all over the world- we’re the first Orchestra to have played in the South Pole, y’know? Heyhey- isn’t that worthy of praise? Isn’t it?"

Dracul is the Ultimate Dungeon Master.
Dracul is a rather loud and eccentric individual, always trying to pick up other's mood and lead them. He's a very natural leader and while he can be very annoying occasionally, he's annoying in a way that some may find charming. He currently holds the world record for the sheer amount of D&D campaigns that he has run. Dracul has a sort of inferiority complex as he believes his talent isn't as useful as some others are. He's scared his normal life is too boring and tiring so he tries to act like some of the characters he's used in his campaigns to be more interesting. But that fear of being dull is ever present.
"Well, well, well! Look what falls upon us! A young warrior proficient in the art of the pen who wishes to join our guild dear Ismene- what shall we do?"
"Ohhh! It’s a 20! We accept the writer with open arms and let him join our guild! Afterall, we only have a healer and a magician right now!"

Ismene is the Ultimate Mythologist.
Ismene is a smart yet reserved girl who's often stuck in her own head or stuck in books. She loves mystery and is always looking for a good story... fictional or not. She tends to be rather morbid and makes inappropriate jokes about death, but she does have some self control. She often doesn't hold relationships or friendships as dear as the other person in the friendship- which can lead to arguments and whatever bonds she manages to establish quickly break down. Behind it all, Ismene has a Goddess complex. She believes she's smarter than everyone else and should be treated better than the majority.

They are the character keeping the students trapped in the laboratory and keeping them in the killing game, they do not seem bound by the rules of reality and hold immense power. Yet- they seem rather childish.
"My, my, my! Look around us at all these washed out character tropes- all gathered in one place! I could make a fantastical nature documentary about this, Nyahahhahhah!"
"Aww… jeez firecracker don’t question that just yet if you treasure your fingers… I’m hungry- and I haven’t had my lunch yet.
