Bastard Energy
Project Overview
This is not going to be a project fully animated, but this is going to be used to showcase my skill in illustration, motion graphics, and puppet animation. I am going to use this audio to create a semi-professional title/character card for my portfolio.
There won't be much after, so it is a pretty relaxed project for those who I hire. However, I am paying out of pocket, so I can not offer too much, but I still wish to compensate you for your work.
I hope to hire voice actors who have clean and crisp audio, but a little bit of white noise is not terrible. just want it to be semi-professional.
These characters below of obviously to be portrayed as charismatic villains, and I hope to have real bastard energy come out of them, so if you think that any of these villains will fit you, give it a whirl!
Thank you so much for considering my project.

Hello everyone!! Thank you for your patience. I had finally sat down with my co-directors, and we will be sending call-back emails today if not early tomorrow morning. Again, thank you so much to everyone who auditioned. The number of auditions took me by surprise, and I am happy yet thorough with the decisions I made. Thank you so much!!

Roles Closed
Thank you for everyone who has auditioned. I am currently sick, but I will be going through all the auditions. If you have been considered, you will receive a message about a call back with details of the project this coming week. If you do not receive a message please know that it didn't mean you weren't considered. I had a lot of options, and picking isn't easy. I do wish you all the best. Thank you for the support, and I hope to see you all again soon.
A Prince who is more like an untamed beast of a man than an actual regal prince. Alexei often shuns royal duties to fight. War is his prerogative, and the man is a conquerer above being a king.
He values bloodshed and war over his people, and his royal duties are left to people who have much more dubious values and morals.
The voice I want is a bit angry, but not completely. He is constantly holding back his temper, only breaking into something feral and excited when he is in battle. Other times, he is repressed, almost like he is constantly ready to explode.
(Being forced to do office work) “This again? Work like this brings great leaders to an early grave.”
(Slightly angry with a bit of bite to his word. He’s holding back his excitement to see if his opponent is worth it.) “Fight enough to give me a good show, but go against anything I say and I’ll make you wish you were dead. Those are simple rules to this game. Don’t disappoint me.”
(Finally able to get a good fight. He is going feral!! He’s having a great time) “Finally!! Something truly to live for! Now come on, give me something good! Get my blood rushing!!”
and easy to get along with despite his strange looks. He enjoys a good drink and often lends his money to those who ask. However, he expected repayment in full. Don’t stay true to favor or be late to payment and his puppy dog persona shifts to something far more sadistic.
The voice I want is a bit chipper. He’s a happy-go-lucky party goer, but he also switches from being friendly to being hostile. However, there is still a chipperness to his tone, making his threats all the more unsettling, like your pain gives him joy (it does).
(He’s excited to throw a party for you) “Oh? Is there a reason to celebrate? Perfect!! I can throw such a wonderful festival for you! Do you prefer red or orange?”
(He’s going into business mode, a bit more serious but still keeping the cheery tone) “There are a few missing transactions… Eh, let’s worry about that later. The party is just getting good.”
(Cheerful but threatening) “Uh oh, keep talking, and I might just have you sleeping with the fishies.” (Pause before laughing) “I’m kidding! I’ll just cut off your tongue.”
A man who is obviously not what he seems. Even though he has taken a job as the personal butler to a Maquis that has never been seen since Gustav’s arrival, his humble position obviously doesn’t fit him.
From the strange markings on his skin, his abrasive piercings, and oddly sharp teeth, there is obviously more to him than meets the eyes, but a least he does his job of cleaning up messes well.
His voice is surprisingly carefree, but not too much to frame him as lazy. He is treating things like a game and has fun teasing, so there is a lot of life in his tone, but like the others, I want something unhinged or dangerous in his tone, something to possibly hint that there is something not right with him.
(Frustrated) “I just cleaned up the area yesterday. Do I really have to do it again? I think you’re demanding too much of a simple butler-like myself.”
(Has a softer voice, a bit sinister but sweet) “Oh, no no, you should really rely on me more. Don’t worry about anything. Just sit down, relax, and let me do the work for you.”
(He’s smugly pretending to be proper) “Cleaning can be quite a tedious task, but know that I am far more reliable than you may suspect. If there’s an issue, just know that I can take out the trash swiftly.”
A cruel, terrible, and malicious man, a duke everyone fears and is forced to respect. Rumored to rule the country behind the curtain and his afflictions with monsters beyond fears humans can comprehend, Mictlan is a man who believes he is a God or even one step above a deity.
After surviving through his own cruel experiments, no one dares to stand in the way of his dark experiments unless they want to end up as the next victim.
Has a terrible sense of humor.
I want his voice to be usually deadpanned, but there is always something regal and powerful in his one. He is confident but not so much as to be too prideful. He is careful with his words but will deliver the worst jokes with the utmost seriousness in his tone.
There is always a low chuckle to accompany his bad jokes. He thinks they’re the funniest thing in the world.
(Disappointed) “And here I thought you’d scream more. You’re quite boring.“
“Where should I start… Maybe I’ll cut from the toes up. It’ll let me savor every scream. Or maybe I should start with the arms? I’ve always found myself quite humerus.” (Followed by a soft chuckle, slightly deadpanned)
(Threatening but prideful to boast) “You don’t understand who you’re dealing with. The men outside there are nothing but worms under my boot. You stand before a God, and I get to choose whether you live or die.“
A bounty hunter and a man Fredrick utterly hates. Surprisingly, despite the fact that Vin does follow through with his impulses without question, those ambitions often get in the way of Fredrick’s plans.
Vin is a silent type, a rugged man who hunts down both man, monster, and animal for whatever pays or delights him more.
However smart and unchallenged in his survival and hunting skills, he falls behind and falls for simple fairy tales and mother’s bedtime stories, taking supernatural and spiritual caution a bit too seriously.
The man may be able to flay you alive in 20 different ways, but… he’s still the type to believe in Santa Claus.
His voice is completely deadpanned. He is almost devoid of emotion save for rage, disappointment, and a tad bit of smugness. His voice is strong and stern, but this is also to mask the naivete he has.
“It’s dead. I killed it. There’s nothing more nothing less.”
“I’ve always done what I felt like, and it’s quite funny to see the demon man throw his little tantrums.”
“I heard that mermaids seduce men drown them after pulling them with their siren song. I have always dreamed of capturing one and cutting off its tail as a trophy…” (Subtly confused) “Wait… what do you mean they don’t do that? That’s boring.”
