As a massive sci-fi nerd, I've been "voice acting" for most of my life - memorising the lines of my favourite characters, doing impressions for friends, reading stories aloud to myself. Figured if I enjoy it so much, why not just do it for real? My previous experience is entirely musical. I'm a trained singer and guitarist, and a self-trained audio engineer. With a background in vocals and recording, I quickly realised that I could totally start voice acting if I really wanted to.
