Wings of Fire - Original vs Graphic Novel (Episodes 1-5)
Project Overview
Wings of Fire is a fantasy novel series written by Tui T Sutherland with dragons as the main characters. Although the series has come to and end, graphic novel adaptations of the books are being released, and within these adaptations are several changes to characters and events. Let's compare them!
Hello and welcome to the WoF: Original VS Graphic Novel casting call! This will be a long-term series composed of many short episodes where we compare scenes from the original novels to the graphic novel adaptations. Since the episodes only cover small sections of the books and will not be in chronological order, you are not expected to remain the voice actor for your character beyond the episode you auditioned for. However, you are more than welcomed to stay! If you chose not to, you must notify me that you are leaving so I can cast a new voice actor for future episodes.
In addition to keeping your role for future episodes, you will also have the option to join future episodes of my WoF: Incorrect Quotes series, which will have a second season begin production with a new cast soon! Both of these projects will only require a handful of lines from you if your character is in an upcoming episode, so balancing both projects should be a piece of cake! Haha, get it? Cause my name is Cake? Haha cause-
Warning: Wings of Fire contains several brutal deaths and dark themes, both of which will appear in this series. Please do not audition if you are uncomfortable reading about or recording lines involving/describing gore, war, killing, trauma, suicide, or other dark (but not suggestive) topics.
Requirements:
- Must have Discord and join the server if cast. Please provide your name and tag in any/all auditions. (As per TOS, must be 13 or older)
- Be able to meet deadlines and communicate any absences, needed extensions, questions, or concerns.
- Voice actors must have a decent microphone with minimal to no background noise. Try not to move your mic while recording, and please wait until your surroundings are quiet to record.
- Be willing to follow directions and redo voice lines as needed within a reasonable timeframe. You may record on your own time or live with others.
- Submit your audio files as WAV (preferred) or MP3.

Tsunami is fierce, defiant, impulsive, snarky, short-tempered, and a powerful fighter. She is highly protective of the other Dragonets of Destiny, willing to jump into any fight to save them- the sword of the group with Clay as the shield. Though she is quick to assume that violence is the answer, she learns to be more polite and cooperative throughout the series, and secretly feels guilty about fighting (and especially killing) other dragons. She has a soft spot for others, especially her siblings, but hides it under a loud and commanding exterior.

Whirlpool is a royal scribe dead set on becoming king of the SeaWings, which he has to do through marriage. With no regard for her age or well being, Whirlpool wants to marry Princess Anemone to take the throne. By sucking up to Queen Coral whenever he can, as well as training the young SeaWing heir himself, he hopes to gain the Queen's favor and be allowed to do so. When Queen Coral learned of her husband's death, Whirlpool suggested she re-marry, likely hoping that he would be her choice. He has also attempted to kill the older SeaWing heir in order to assure Anemone (as well as himself) takes the throne. He is haughty, patronizing, selfish, slimy, creepy, devious, and a sycophant. He is described as having an "oozy, oily voice."
TLDR: Super creepy rich guy

Blister is often regarded as one of the most dangerous dragons in Pyrrhia. She is fiercely intelligent and cunning, cold, manipulative, critical, and is known to have horrifyingly effective torture methods. Blister always gets what she wants eventually, either by playing the long game or by using flattery or threats on important targets. Even when standing beside her larger, battle-scarred sister, Blister is the most terrifying. She is eerily still with a menacing aura and dangerous look in her eyes, and her face, though not always her voice, conceals all emotion. Blister's voice is described as "cold, hard, purring, icy, and slithering with a strange hiss to it."
TLDR: Dangerously smart and ruthless

Preyhunter is a trustworthy, though often anxious or even cowardly, NightWing guard. Highly loyal to his tribe, he is cunning and willing to betray or hurt others in order to aid the NightWings- dragons he believes to be superior than the other tribes. He will most likely only show up in one other episode.
TLDR: I just need someone who can yell without peaking

Known for her frequent use of the word "Thrilling," Scarlet is the dreaded Queen of the SkyWings. Manipulative, cruel, narcissistic, dramatic, and sadistic, Scarlet takes great pleasure in forcing dragons to fight to the death in the SkyWing arena for her own entertainment, or torturing them herself, even attacking her own guards at one point. On top of rich, she is powerful both physically as well as socially due to ruling the SkyWings. Because of this, she can get away with almost anything. And she knows this, often intimidating or imprisoning anyone that she simply doesn't like, if not outright killing them.
TLDR: Sadistic and theatrical evil queen

Morrowseer is one of the NightWing Queen's most trusted advisors. Due to his intimidating nature, general (terrifying) way with people, and the reputation of the NightWing tribe, Morrowseer is very influential and powerful across Pyrrhia even though few dragons have actually met or seen him. He was the one that delivered the Dragonet Prophecy after all. He is deceitful, bad tempered, impatient, smug, manipulative, selfish, and cruel. He also believes that he and all NightWings are above any and all other dragons, and is willing to lie to and kill thousands, including members of his own tribe, in order to help his tribe as a whole. Morrowseer is enormous, with a menacing gaze and deep and rumbling voice to match.
TLDR: Huge, evil, and scary

Emotional, slightly anxious but with a strong backbone, and highly protective of Moonwatcher, Secretkeeper is regarded as a traitor by most of the NightWings for secretly having and raising her dragonet away from the rest of the tribe. She cares greatly for her daughter's wellbeing, willing to kill others or risk severe punishment to keep her safe and healthy.

Narrator for Episode 3: Moonwatcher's Hatching. Roughly 1000 words. I would like a feminine voice in order to somewhat match the voice of the protagonist of the prologue, Secretkeeper.

Not quite knowing what she was doing, Secretkeeper put her front talons gently on either side of Moonwatcher’s head and whispered, [Character line] She thought as hard as she could about the dangers of the rainforest, and especially the dangers of other dragons. She pictured Moonwatcher curling into the ferns and not moving until her mother returned.

Narrator for Episode 4: Kestrel's Death. Roughly 700 words. I would like a feminine voice for this scene in order to somewhat match the voice of the protagonist for the epilogue, Kestrel.
