Tsunami is fierce, defiant, impulsive, snarky, short-tempered, and a powerful fighter. She is highly protective of the other Dragonets of Destiny, willing to jump into any fight to save them- the sword of the group with Clay as the shield. Though she is quick to assume that violence is the answer, she learns to be more polite and cooperative throughout the series, and secretly feels guilty about fighting (and especially killing) other dragons. She has a soft spot for others, especially her siblings, but hides it under a loud and commanding exterior.
