Project Overview
Premise
Full-Dive VR has come out and a group of friends got access to it! Little do they know there is a small twist to the game... Of course, it isn't a death game or anything. Since that concept was already invented in fiction, it was play-tested heavily before it was released. Instead, there is an interesting side effect that comes from playing an RPG game. The question is, how would you build your character if you knew that changing a number could change your real-life self?
Project DetailsThis Project is an audio drama based on the concept of Full Dive VR! Episodes will be ~30 minutes long and will be paywalled, with teasers posted to YouTube! The cast gets access to finished episodes of course!
How Long Will The Project Be?
Project length will depend on demand! Currently, I intend for there to be 10 episodes but I have enough content to bring us up to ~30 episodes if needed! If the demand is there, we will keep going! Episodes will be released weekly, so the series could be fully published in ~3 months or ~9 months. Then, I also have plans to work on side stories to show character interaction 1-on-1 that you wouldn't usually see.
Requirements:
You need to be able to work on this project for quite some time, as this is a long-term project.
Please only apply if you are 16+
Please submit raw audio recordings. Do not post process.
Submit 2 takes of each line, and make sure there is variation (tempo, emotion, intensity, etc)
The use of AI is not permitted.
Submissions that have clear and clean audio will be favored. Experience is not required, as long as your acting is okay.
I may need you to resubmit lines to fit the story tone better.
What Kind Of Things Will Be Talked About?
This is a story of many themes: Coming of age, living with insecurities, healing broken relationships, resolving tension, Growth, Balance, Improving yourself, rivalry, and eventually cooperation.
How Many Lines Will I Have?
Your Lines Are Dependent On Your Character. As an estimate:
Main Character Group: 3-5 minutes of lines per episode
Antagonist Character Group: 3-5 minutes of lines every 2-3 episodes
Side Characters: 1-3 Minutes of lines every 3-5 episodes, or a lot of lines in 1 episode.
Reserve Characters: 1-5 Lines in 1 episode, without the promise of a return (You will be given 1 month advance MINIMUM)
How Does The Workflow Look?
We will begin working in January. The goal is to have multiple episodes ready to release before we begin releasing content so that in the event of illness, emergency, etc, we will not have to resort to a hiatus and post backup content while we recover. This means that releases will start in early 2025, and that is when you will receive your flat payment for your work.
How Does Payment Work?
You will be paid when the 1st episode and teaser is released. This amount is the amount listed next to your character. However, each cast member will receive future payments based on sales of the audio drama. The better the project does, the better we all do!
What are you doing with your cut of the money?
My cut of the revenue will go towards paying an artist to illustrate this audio drama! I only expect this to happen if the project is a "success", but it is my goal!

Information: A girl with a cute and bubbly demeanor. She is the kind of girl who lights up a room and supports all of those around her. She does have a small bias towards Kai... because she is the main love interest! She leaves subtle hints, but dense little Kai never quite gets the memo. She can be kind of easily startled, which leads to teasing and chaos!
Fun Fact: She loves Kpop routines, which is where she got her class from!

Information: Loud and proud! This best friend character is full of mischief and fun! Although he can be a pervert, Jin is a loveable guy who fits right in with his friends. He never goes too far and loves to relieve tense situations with comedy. He is clearly harmless and means well, even if he sometimes crosses a line or two.
Fun Fact: He owns an anime body pillow!

Information: A gentle giant with a caring heart. He is the strongest of the group, although he does have a weak spot: his heart. He loves working out and being the strongest he can be, both in endurance and in physical strength. While mostly calm, he can be enraged when his friends are in danger. He is soft-spoken, but when he does speak, his voice commands attention.
Fun Fact: He secretly writes romance novels in his free time!

Information: A stunning girl in a small package. She switches effortlessly between a cute highschooler to a deadly assassin. She is not someone that you want to cross. She specializes in stealth, charisma, and manipulation. Although she would never hurt her friends, she is a threat to all those around her. She has a sultry voice and a sense of confidence underneath her mask. She is sly, witty, and calculated. Always looking for an advantage or an ambush.
Fun Fact: She keeps tabs on all of her friends to make sure they are safe. No one has found out yet.
Class: Assassin
Voice: Needs to be able to pull off cute and sultry... switching between someone with no control, to someone who knew they controlled everything from the start.

Information: The super shy haru is exactly that: nearly invisible. Her friends care for her deeply, but her small size and her lack of words often lets her shrink into the background. She only ever raises her voice when she gets startled or overwhelmed. She is very kind and empathetic, even if she is very easily flustered.
Fun Fact: She wishes she could be as shameless as Jin or as strong as Dai

Information: She is a goofy and loose-cannon character. The twist? She is hiding it from her friends. Her sudden gain of intelligence leads her to develop a god complex, and in secret, she is preparing to let everyone know just how below her they all are. She pretends to be stupid and manipulates others around her. During stressful moments, she breaks and lets it show. Just how long can she keep it together?
Fun Fact: She keeps polaroids of her pet cats along her fairy lights above her desk.

Voice: Someone who can switch between a calm goofy and a psychotic break voice.

Information: Ryo is the love interest of Rika. He adores her and would do anything for her, but the relationship is toxic. She uses him to get stronger. As he gives up everything for her to improve, he begins to develop an inferiority complex. He becomes increasingly selfish and is the reason their group falls into trouble.
Fun Fact: Ryo had a fear of blood, that was before Rika forced him to overcome it with video games.

Information: A Tall and elegant nerd: Can oftentimes be caught reading manga on the battlefield. She can fight with a sword and read at the same time. While it is impressive, you can tell her heart isn’t into the game like her friends. Perhaps she was coerced into playing? Could there be someone to bring her passion into the game… After she awakens, her demeanor shifts and she becomes very intense.
Fun Fact: Kara has never had a crush before! At least, not a 3d one.
Class: Battle Scribe

Information: Saki is the exact opposite of what you would expect of a tank... instead of being a big, bulky woman... she is short, tiny and cute. Her fiery personality juxtaposes her class and surprises those around her. She loves chaos and wants to see the world burn... She isnt afraid to insult/step on others to climb to the top.
Fun Fact: She is quite happy to be cute, but won't admit it to other people. Beneath that firey shell is a soft girl full of doubts.

Information: A smug boy who doesn't fit his role in the group. He is a calm and collected individual who wants to step up, but never does. Perhaps it's laziness, or maybe he doesn't want to argue... He is generally kind but is easily ticked off by his friends. He loves them, but sometimes he just does not like them.
Fun Fact: His parents are overseas a lot, which meant he had to learn how to survive without them. This lead to hanging with a bad crowd and learning how to be a con.

He likes to steal energy from other people's personalities and leave them drained.

Information: The Senior Class Teacher. He teaches every subject to a small class. He can either be the most patient or the most frustrated person on Earth, depending on who he is talking to. He is very up-to-date with what is going on in the world and secretly knows about the rivalry going on between the protag and antag groups. He interferes when necessary, but keeps his nose out of the drama whenever possible.
Fun Fact: He is secretly a big fan of video games, but doesn't have time to play them anymore.

Fun Fact: For some reason, the game devs thought it was a good idea to make this reward NPC and incredibly attractive woman... And gave her sentience through AI?
