VA-11 Hall-A (Animated Short)
Project Overview
Hello! I'm currently creating a (fanmade) animated short for the video game 'VA-11 Hall-A'. I'm putting out this casting call to find skilled VA's who can voice the characters in this short.

Roles and Payment:
2 Main Roles:
Jill - $60 (~26 lines)
Lenore - $40 (~16 lines)
1 Side-Main Role:
Dana - $30 (~11 lines)
1 Side role:
Rad Shiba - Unpaid (4 Lines)

Requirements:
1. As for recording quality, I ask that there is not an abundance of noise and the voice is clear and loud. Very prominent S sounds are a problem I've run into, but it's not a dealbreaker as I've found ways to skirt around the problem.
2. I'd prefer to communicate through discord. Please provide it with your audition.
3. Feel free to take pauses where you feel they should be and do whatever feels
most natural!

(~26 lines) Jill always tries to give her best at work as a Bartender, talking with her clients and always being nice even with the most annoying people. She is fairly calm most of the time. She hides her genuine feelings for others. She tries to play the "cool bartender" putting up an act of maturity and "coolness".
In this animation, I imagine she has a deeper to midrange voice with a little bit of rasp to it perhaps. (crying is a big part of this role, so make sure to prove you can belt out a cry on the rant line)

(Calm, but pissed off) "I'm taking my break. Keep the dog away from me."
(In a crying rant) "I convinced myself every night that you were a terrible person! Her?! Good fucking riddance!"
(Annoyed, done with everyones shit) This is private property. I'm calling the police. Or just... get lost. I don't care.
(~11 lines) Dana is the owner of a bar. She is extremely boisterous and has a carefree, devil-may-care attitude most of the time. She has a habit of sticking her head in things. She cares very much for the people who work under her and will go to great lengths to keep them safe and cared for.
In this animation I imagine her with a deep and commanding voice. A voice you would be scared of if you didn't know the person it came from.

(Lighthearted, playful) "Fine, but you're training him when you get back!"
(Serious, empathetic) "He told me about what happened... I'm sorry."
(Said in a jokingly "cool" voice) What can I say, they call me "The Therapist"."
(~16 lines) Lenore is very socially intelligent, she could talk about anything, for hours. She is a prankster and someone who tries to lighten a somber mood with jokes or by saying something in a funny way.
I imagine her voice is higher pitched and cutesy, but still able to become somber and serious.

(Overly dramatic, trying to be funny) "Oh come on! Did you forget all our passionate nights?"
(Serious, somber) "Sorry for putting so much pressure on you. I mean it."
(4 lines) The shiba is a side character who is extremely forward and honest. He talks in a "rad" and "cool" voice. Wears a Hawaiian shirt and sunglasses. Preferably male voice and pretty raspy like "ayyyyyyyyyy" type vibe.
