Project Overview
Hello! My name is xiruo!
I'm working on a visual novel for the Spooktober VN Jam 2024.
Here's a link to my itchio and what I've previously made:
I do not have a title yet, but the gist of the story is that the Emperor invites 12 animals to be part of a brand new council. But one we get there, turns out 13 animals showed up instead of 12!
The Emperor says there must be a liar amongst the animals that have arrived, and tensions rise as suspicion falls onto each of the other animals.
It's a murder mystery/detective type of game! Similar to the Ace Attorney or Danganronpa series.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUDITION:
You MUST be 18 years old or older.
We will use discord as our main form of communication, so please have a discord account.
PLEASE include your discord username as part of your audition, this is how we will reach out to you and how we will communicate for the project. If we do not hear back from your discord, we'll reach out through casting call as well, but you will have to use discord for the work.
Feel free to link a portfolio or demo reel, and anything else you want to show us about yourself. (It's not a requirement though.)
Again, this game is for the Spooktober VN Jam, it takes place during the month of September.
Please, if you are to audition, make sure that you have enough time during the 2nd half of September as that is when recording will take place.
So this is around 9/15 to 9/31.
The game will not be fully voiced. We will have some parts/lines fully voiced, but the rest of the game will use voice clips instead. (This is because of the time constraint and the size of the game.)

Thank you everyone for submitting auditions! There is ... a lot more than I thought there would be, haha! And I've started to go through them each.
It might be a little while before we start reaching out to people, and I will let you know when everything is closed. We're aiming to try and finish looking through everything by the 16th or the 17th!
