Twin Dragons Comic Dub [Wave 2]
Project Overview
Welcome to the "Twin Dragons" Comic Dub project! This fan-made production aims to bring Robin Dassen’s webcomic to life through voice acting.
This is the first of possibly many casting calls so do stay tuned for more! I do know that I will be doing one shortly after this one once the first 2 chapters are out as there are more supporting characters and background characters to grab! This is also a bit of a long comic so if you are in it, you are in it for the long haul!
AboutTwin Dragons is a slice-of-life story following the adventures of Kai and Kaya Romero, 14-year-old dragon-human hybrids navigating life in a world where humans and anthros coexist. With its heartfelt moments, humor, and exploration of themes like identity and friendship. This comic is a gem i'm excited to adapt into an audio-visual experience.
Expectations/DeadlinesAs this is a big project as soon as we start I want to hit the ground running! I want to be able to get the first couple of episodes out of the park! In order to do this I am expecting a 2 week deadline on the delivery of lines! That being said even though it is a "2 week deadline" the sooner I get them the better so I can help with retakes and adjustments that are needed! I can work with you if something comes up!
Expectations:
Good microphone quality with little to no background noise
Must have a discord
Lines will be sent in mp3 format

This is really important so please read carefully. There wasn't really an option for what I was planning so I am putting it here. Unfortunately I am not made out of money. But since this is a long project I wanted the actors that preform in this series to at least get some compensation for their time and effort put into this. I will be paying per hour of finished recordings that I get from each actor. Each role will be payed based on the importance of their role. If there are additional questions please ask me.
Will I need to be there for live reads?Not entirely! I would like to at least meet you and learn more about you as I work with you! So there will be live reads but it is not required. This is primarily for us to get to know each other and have a good time while we work together through the series!
Audition expectations:If you have gotten this far that means you are motivated to get this started just as much as I am! I am excited to hear your voice! Here are my expectations on the auditions.
In the description you must list the following...
Discord tag
Age
Microphone (XLR, USB, and model)
Example: XLR Bluebird Microphone
Anything extra is extra credit!
Must have little to no background noise
The file must be RAW, no EQ'ing. I am totally fine with you doing noise reduction. There is a possibility ill ask to hear it without it though!
I am expecting at minimum 2 takes. This is for you to use a plethora of different tones/voice types.
If you do not do the minimum you will not be considered for the role immediately.
I would like this in ABC format but if you dont that is fine too!
You can audition for as many roles as youd like!
If you would like feedback please say so in the description!
I will NOT be picking anyone before the deadline unless I have ether a large amount of submissions, or if I am confident with who I will be choosing! so if you auditioned and you are checking back constantly please dont worry!

Wave 3 is about to happen!
Hello everyone! We as we have keep producing Twin Dragons like I said there will be more waves of auditioning to come! Thankfully the time is coming quickly and a few things have changed as I have grown and learned a bit more as a producer and director! In the next few days Wave 3 of Twin Dragons casting call will be put out! It will be under a new project entirely so we have a clean slate!
Now I understand the coming question
"Why are you spacing the casting calls out"
I am spacing them out as the last thing that I want is for someone to get a role then have to wait weeks just for them to be able to say a couple of lines. I want to do them as they come along so it is a very quick and easy process for both you, the actors, and myself.

WOW! Just as quickly as the first auditions was filled the second round for other supports has begun! We have 3 new support roles who are the main supports for the leads! Kaya is the fraternal twin of Kai. She likes singing, music and video games. Not a ‘sportsy’ type like her brother. She can be a little hyper when excited or when she had too much chocolate. Chocolate is her favorite food ever! She’s easy going, has her head up in the clouds at times. It may not always look like it, but she adores her brother to bits, and refers to him as her big bro, even though they’re twins.
She is a 14 year old dragon hybrid, and through the webcomic she will turn 15.

Benji is a dog hybrid and the adopted son of Josh West and Victor O’Connel. His real surname is unknown as he was put at the doorstep of an orphanage when he was a couple months old with no trace of his real parents. When Josh and Victor adopted Benji, they gave him both their surnames.
Easy-going, laid-back and always up for having some fun with friends. He’s Kai’s best friend and hangs out with him a lot since Kai moved into the city. He looks out for his friends and makes sure they don’t get into trouble. Benji tends to avoid confrontation if possible.
He is 14 years old, turns 15 as the webtoon progresses.

They talk about parents where he reveals he was adopted and wonders what it would be like having a mom] (Calm but focused, he is trying to not lose a game to Kia and Kaya) I do wonder what it's like to have a mom sometimes [Kaya: What happened to your real parents?] (calm but gets frustrated near the end) I never knew my real parents. I was given up at birth. Probably because they couldn't take care of me. Or maybe... Because they didn't want a dog-eared kid like me.

Cleo is a snake hybrid. She’s also easily the richest kid in the city, thanks to her billionaire dad.
Because of this, she has been taken advantage of quite often. She’s quite smart and not naïve at all, but struggled to keep friends. Due to this fact, she willingly had herself take advantage of to not feel lonely at school. Being stuck in this situation made her emit a cold attitude towards others.

Kaya is quickly saying she will pay her back] (slightly exaggerated)Ooooh boy, arn't you an honest one. *sigh* (says in "a matter of fact" tone) I refuse to accept any money from you. After all, it was a small price to pay for everlasting friendship. You said that yourself didn't you?
[Kaya and Cleo go to school together, now friends. Cleos old clique shows up and starts to bully Kaya, pushing Kaya to the ground.](Reserved at first, then finds inner strength) H-Hey! Don't push her! Leave her alone Larisa!

Rex is a wolf hybrid and the captain of the Evergreen High basketball team, which he started himself when he enrolled there.
His ambition is to become a professional basketball player and he plans accordingly. Ever since elementary, he’s been practicing basketball during the majority of his free time (and sometimes when he’s supposed to do other things). As a result, he managed to get his team in third place the first time they entered the nationals. A great accomplishment which he hated. He aims for first place next year.
He is self-conscious about his name, Rex Ruthor. His parents must have a special kind of humor to make his name rhyme with a famous supervillain.

[Testing Kai you are playing Basket ball one on one. Kai just scored and ball is brought back to center.] (impressed to cocky and confident) Alright, Shrimp. I admit you surprised me there. But playtime is over. Let me show you how unfair basketball can be!
[Test is over and Kai passed.] (Compassionate but blunt) I acted like a jerk, but there is a good reason for that. We only need players that DON'T give up when things get difficult. If you had given up when I didnt let you join at first, then that was that, you failed and woulden't make the team.
