Project Overview

Welcome to the "Twin Dragons" Comic Dub project! This fan-made production aims to bring Robin Dassen’s webcomic to life through voice acting.

This is the first of possibly many casting calls so do stay tuned for more! I do know that I will be doing one shortly after this one once the first 2 chapters are out as there are more supporting characters and background characters to grab! This is also a bit of a long comic so if you are in it, you are in it for the long haul!

About

Twin Dragons is a slice-of-life story following the adventures of Kai and Kaya Romero, 14-year-old dragon-human hybrids navigating life in a world where humans and anthros coexist. With its heartfelt moments, humor, and exploration of themes like identity and friendship. This comic is a gem i'm excited to adapt into an audio-visual experience.

Expectations/Deadlines

As this is a big project as soon as we start I want to hit the ground running! I want to be able to get the first couple of episodes out of the park! In order to do this I am expecting a 2 week deadline on the delivery of lines! That being said even though it is a "2 week deadline" the sooner I get them the better so I can help with retakes and adjustments that are needed! I can work with you if something comes up!

Expectations:


  1. Good microphone quality with little to no background noise


  2. Must have a discord


  3. Lines will be sent in .WAV format


  4. Motivated!


Pay

This is really important so please read carefully. There wasn't really an option for what I was planning so I am putting it here. Unfortunately I am not made out of money. But since this is a long project I wanted the actors that preform in this series to at least get some compensation for their time and effort put into this. I will be paying per hour of finished recordings that I get from each actor. Each role will be payed based on the importance of their role. If there are additional questions please ask me.

Will I need to be there for live reads?

Not entirely! I would like to at least meet you and learn more about you as I work with you! So there will be live reads but it is not required. This is primarily for us to get to know each other and have a good time while we work together through the series!

Audition expectations:

If you have gotten this far that means you are motivated to get this started just as much as I am! I am excited to hear your voice! Here are my expectations on the auditions.

  1. In the description you must list the following...

Microphone (XLR, USB, and model)

Example: XLR Bluebird Microphone

Anything extra is extra credit!


  1. Must have little to no background noise


  2. The file must be RAW, no EQ'ing. I am totally fine with you doing noise reduction. There is a possibility ill ask to hear it without it though!


  3. I am expecting at minimum 3 takes. This is for you to use a plethora of different tones/voice types.


  4. If you do not do the minimum you will not be considered for the role immediately.


  5. I would like this in ABC format but if you dont that is fine too!


  6. You can audition for as many roles as youd like!


  7. If you would like feedback please say so in the description!


I will NOT be picking anyone before the deadline so if you auditioned and you are checking back constantly please dont worry!

    Hello everyone. It has become apparent to me that something as big as this will definitely need payment. Especially on how many comics there are for this series. Because of that I am now making the project a paid project. Check the project info for more information as I have added a section for it. Because it is a paid project that will limit the age range that I am willing to look for. So if you are 18 and older please submit your auditions. Kai Romero is a Human-Dragon hybrid He likes video games, sports and having fun in general. Easy going, mischievous and rather intelligent, he’s a little competitive but can take a loss. Even though he’s often the primary target of his sister’s pranks and well-meant but gone wrong attempts, he loves his sister and will protect her. 


He is 14 years old. As the Series progresses he grows into a 15 year old.

Kaya is the fraternal twin of Kai. She likes singing, music and video games. Not a ‘sportsy’ type like her brother. She can be a little hyper when excited or when she had too much chocolate. Chocolate is her favorite food ever! She’s easy going, has her head up in the clouds at times. It may not always look like it, but she adores her brother to bits, and refers to him as her big bro, even though they’re twins. 


She is a 14 year old dragon hybrid, and through the webcomic she will turn 15.

A passionate cook with Italian roots. During his waking hours he’s usually found either spending time with his family or cooking. He recently got enough money together to start his own restaurant. Marco is generous, hospitable, spontaneous and an overal happy guy. He loves his wife and children very much and the only thing that would get his blood boiling is when you lay a finger on them.

Sabrina is a psychologist and often the voice of reason in the house. She’s down to earth, sweet, patient, has a wide sense of humor (often necessary in this family) and caring. She loves her husband a lot and is proud of her children, even though they can be more than a handful at times.
