Update 1: Earlier Deadline, Selection Process, Future Additional Jobs, & More

First and foremost, I just want to say thank you to everyone who auditioned, followed, and supported this project. It's been about 4 days since publishing this casting call and I seriously did not expect to receive this many submissions!! I am truly grateful, as this really speeds up my thesis production schedule. After a few thesis meetings, I have a couple things to announce:

[Earlier Deadline for Main Narrator Auditions]
Due to a large quantity of submissions already (which I really appreciate ッ), I have decided to set an earlier deadline for Main Narrator submissions.
// New Deadline: September 19, 2024 @ 11:30pm EST

[Main Narrator Selection Process]
// Round 1 (no limit):
During this round, I mainly check if your voice matches the vibes I was going for. Every first audition will either get dismissed or shortlisted as a potential candidate. If you receive a comment along the lines of "Great audition," you have made it to round 1!

// Round 2 (max 20 people):
This is where I will test out how your voice sounds like through a voice effect pass in Adobe Premiere Pro. I may also look at provided demo-reels or websites to assist my decision process. I'll let you know either by dm or comment if you made it to round 2.

// Round 3 (max 5 people):
This is where I make my final decision for the 'main' narrator. However, there is a chance that I may also need 'echo' narrators that will be layered behind the 'main' narrator at certain times of the film. The remaining Round 3 people will be considered for the 'echo' narrator roles, but more details on this when we get there.

[Future Additional Jobs]
Besides a VO narrator, I will also need a COMPOSER for the film's score and (maybe) SOUND DESIGNERS for sfx down the line. I will list these new job position(s) on this project page soon with more details! For now, keep in touch for more updates.

To wrap things up, I will share my current progress with my thesis overall. The script is in its final revision stages and the rough animatic is lookin' pretty solid ッ I am going to lock-in on the script this week and then tie down more boards in the animatic.
