Star Wars: The Screaming Citadel | Comic Dub (PAID ROLES)
Project Overview
Star Wars Audio Comics is excited to announce that we will be continuing our production of the 2015 Star Wars comic series with the Screaming Citadel story arc! SWAC has been producing critically acclaimed comic series similar to these for five years, especially Star Wars content. We are thrilled to include this story in our lineup!
How it Works:
Suffice it to say, we have mastered bringing to life comics over our five year run on YouTube. We pride ourselves on our company's quality in both visuals, sound effects, music, and the most important part: the voice actors. All productions start with a highly detailed and descriptive casting call. Our typical policy is we don't cast actors until the last day of the call so everyone has plenty of time to audition. Our CC's typically last 2-3 weeks. At the end of the CC process, the Series Director will make the casting decisions based on a variety of factors such as audio quality, performance, vocal range, talent, etc. Once the casting decisions have been made, we send a link for a private Discord server where you will find your scripts, submit your lines, and meet and mingle with your fellow castmates. Deadlines will be posted for line submissions to allow voice actors time to first takes and if requested, retakes. From there it is up to the Director to bring the video to life. Production time will be as airtight as possible, so please try to have your audio in as quickly as possible so production can begin.
The Synopsis:
Rebel pilot and rogue archaeologist wander side by side into the darkest shadows of the galaxy as Luke Skywalker reluctantly teams up with Doctor Aphra! The Doctor makes Luke an offer he can't afford to pass up…one that leads him to a very rare gathering at the heart of the infamous Screaming Citadel. Will Luke find what he's looking for? Can Aphra be trusted? Or will they both wind up victims of the Citadel's Queen?
Directors: Robert A. & Daniel P.
Ground rules:
- Please be able to get your lines in by the deadline posted by the director. Production time will be airtight!

Technically speaking, the Queen of Ktath’atn is not the humanoid woman, but rather the parasitic insectoid who uses her body as a host. She subsists on the lifeforce of other beings, and in order to keep herself fed, she holds a yearly gathering, promising a great reward to whoever can bring her the “most interesting” lifeform. In truth, she uses dark side magick to siphon the lifeforce of her guests as they sleep.
The Queen should sound regal, but with a feigned politeness that hides her true feelings of impatience. Two actors will be cast for this role, as the Queen swaps her host body near the end of the story.
The primary host has a total of 38 lines, paying a total of $24. The secondary host has 3 lines, paying $6.50.
[Feigning politeness] "Ah, at last, the guest of honor has arrived. Do sit, the krillcrab eggs are getting cold. And if you don’t eat them while they’re hot, they tend to hatch and tear your lips off. Please, sit. Eat. I know I, for one… am absolutely starving."
"Such a shame. I was looking forward to feeding this morning. Lock down the citadel. Don’t let them escape."
"Hmmm, I do adore the taste of Jedi. Now allow me to ask you a question, doctor. Why are you still here?"
Varroa is a member of the Queen’s entourage. He is an elderly man who primarily serves as the Queen’s voice when addressing crowds. As such, he should sound old, but also have a voice that commands attention.
Varroa has 12 lines, paying a total of $11.
“Presenting her majesty! She welcomes all, and looks forward to seeing the novelty of your presentations! She hopes they will enliven her jaded palate!”
“Rejected! And the Queen notes that she has certain standards. She does not easily take offense for abuse of her hospitality, but it is always a possibility.”
“I must apologize. All guests must leave, immediately. Sadly, that includes all those whom the Queen had previously expressed interest in. All will receive a payment for their time. We understand the disappointment. The Queen will be here next year, as always."
Vespinax is a member of the Queen’s entourage. She serves as a bodyguard and agent of the Queen, and is a skilled warrior. She should sound tough, but beyond that, feel free to do what you want with the voice.
Vespinax has 7 lines, paying a total of $8.50.
“Shall we bring him to you?”
"All the lower members are ours to control…"
"That explosion was triggered from outside, but we are at the summit of the tower. Who in all the galaxy would be insane enough to scale the screaming citadel?"
Bombinax is another member of the Queen's entourage, and one of her top lieutenants. He deals primarily with security in and around the Citadel. He should have a deep and gruff voice.
Bombinax has 5 lines in this series, paying a total of $7.50.
"Enough distractions. Where’s the Wookiee?"
"The Queen hungers. Come."
[Scream of terror]
Hossferin is a nobleman who is denied an audience with the Queen. Deeply offended by this, he proceeds to berate and threaten the gate guards to grant him passage. He should sound pompous and somewhat alien.
Hossferin has 4 lines in this project, paying a total of $7.00.
"This is intolerable. I demand to see the Queen at once."
"Do you have any idea who I am, you trumped-up little butlers? I am Lord Hossferin! Of the Vandelae star system Hossferins!"
"Wha—AAAAAAHH!"
This Ezaraa is a representative of their people, a race that craves war and galactic dominance. This Ezaraa seeks the aid of the Queen of Ktath'atn, and soon becomes frustrated with Luke Skywalker. Their voice should be menacing and raspy.
This role has 4 lines, paying a total of $7.00.
“With the Queen’s gift, we will rise up against the Empire!”
“Hah! The boy? How foolish are you? There’s nothing special about him.”
“Why, farm boy? What could you do to a warrior such as I?”
