Skyrim- Legacy of the Dragonborn V6
Project Overview
UPDATE: Feb 19: New roles for museum guards added. Each of these have 62 individual lines of commentary for the museum.
Legacy of the Dragonborn is a massively successful game addon (mod) project for The Elder Scrolls Skyrim, now nearing it's 10th anniversary of continual support and development. V6 will be released near that 10 year anniversary and includes a large amount of improvements, additional content and greatly enhanced character engagement including a selection of brand new NPCs of which we are seeking voice actors for.
All recordings should be saved in a single master track (WAV format) or in a few smaller clearly numbered collections of lines (not individually per line). We would like your master to be trimmed down to include only your best 2 or 3 takes of each line. You must have an XLR quality setup for recording and a recording space that nullifies white noise. Master tracks should be cleaned and equalized for balance to minimize any post processing work when cutting the lines together.
When you are logged in, you can comment, add submissions, create projects, upvote, search open roles, and way more. Login here.
Tulvan is a retired textiles and fur trader who worked out of Bruma for years but came back home to windhelm for retirement. He's a generally jovial man but can be rather stern and fearsome when crossed; almost like a night and day demeanor. He takes in the sights at the museum on a regular basis as he's always been fairly well read, it being his main hobby between work obligations and now he can spend most of his retired years learning even more.
For reference think of "Sir Hector" from the Disney animated sword in the stone movie. I imagine a similar but jovial tone.

(asked: How do you like the museum?): Ah my good man!/woman! it's fantastic! I do find myself in the library quite a bit; I'm a fairly versed reader and I'm always overjoyed at the sheer volume of... well volumes you have! I find myself often getting engrossed in discussion with the curator. Perhaps we should start a club haha.
Radcliff got word of the museum late into its establishment. He has been struggling to find his creative inspiration for his next epic poem he intends to turn into song. He's come to study the history of Skyrim through the museum and learn of the tales of the explorers who discovered them in hopes of inspiration striking. Trying to help him to find his inspiration the player can suggest a story about the dragonborn to which he responds "Oh dear gods no, nobody wants to hear that one again, it's been done to death!" but it then sways into focusing instead on your role as the relic hunter, he's brought on a mission and learns first hand what it takes to recover all the relics the museum holds and he has the spark he needs.

Such amazing depictions of people and places portrayed in the paintings, they really capture the essence; I can only hope to do so well with words.
It's often nice to just stand up high along the railings of the various halls and just watch the other people observe the displays and wonder what they are thinking.
I'm seeking the inspiration to my next great work! I heard of the success of this place and came to learn of the deeds and adventures undertaken to procure such wonders.
Lolette is the daughter of an aristocrat in Sentinel who owned and operated a reputable mercenary company known as "Hunding's Hands". After his recent death she inherited the business but had little interest in running it and so sold the entire company to its primary captain who continues her father's legacy. She is unmarried, unemployed but well educated and simply lacks her life's true purpose and has decided to take a long journey across Tamriel to see its many wonders and find her true calling. She has stopped for some time at the museum, finding it an excellent source of history and insight for the entire continent at a glance as she utilizes it in making her plans for her journey.
Voice could have a slight middle eastern inflection to it, but not necessary.

He died happily in bed at home and had a nice long life. I miss him, but have no regrets.
Captain Hilford is certainly capable of running it and his men are absolutely loyal to him. But I fear he lacks a certain finesse that my father brought to overseeing the entire operation.
You are a wonderful father, and I know you'll know if and when the time comes to change goals or not. For now, steady as she goes, alright? Keep pushing that girl to work hard for what she dreams about. I often wish I had had that growing up.
Gordrak is a well accomplished orc smith out of high rock who has been working her craft for her tribe (in Tarsh'nuk Fal) for years and recently has handed over duties to her apprentice in order to venture out and study more forms for her smithing craft. She learned about the museum and is now studying the styles and functions and materials used in the various artifacts and general arms and armor of the armory of the museum, intent on diversifying her skills. She is quite serious about her trade and comes off a bit terse at times.
Accent would be a typical elder scrolls female orc more or less.

Most of it's wasted on me. Art, tapestries, history. I couldn't really care less about most of that, but the artifact equipment and the armory; absolutely fantastic.
Asterion and his twin sister Asterell are summerset born high elves whose father Anderon is a diplomat (working for the Thalmor though formerly for the king of Summerset before it was renamed Alinor) he has been traveling the northern regions of Tamriel for his work and has brought along his two children because they are frankly spoiled troublemakers who can't be trusted at home alone. The two are generally rude, though not nasty or snide, just immature and inconsiderate. They are particularly intrigued though with Auryen and why such a well learned Altmer would come to this backwater province full of ignorance in order to open a museum. They are often seen huddled in corners scheming in low whispers or making comments about other patrons or displays, often drawing the ire of the museum guards or other guests.

I just don't understand. If father is to be believed, Auryen is a Mer of scholastic excellence, immense experience, and power. So then, why did he come to this backwater province and build a museum for these... these apes.
Oh, it's only a bit of fun. Is it really our fault that the rest of society lacks in what our people excel at?

Well perhaps you should just ask him, tactfully of course. Though I doubt you'll get a satisfying answer.
Of course, Master Auryen, we mean no disrespect to you. Come, Asterion, apologize.
Cedric is a single father to Verna who is very excited about becoming a painter and shows some real promise. They cannot afford to hire a tutor or send her to a university to learn, so he's sold their small home in Cyrodiil and they have made the long journey to the museum in Skyrim to study the many paintings on display so she can learn about them. Cedric does his best to read about painting in the library so he can help coach his daughter through how the paintings were likely made as far as tools and techniques, and in their time away from the museum she spends it practicing while Cedric takes work at the nearby mill or marketplace. There will be occasional scene encounters if Cedric and Lorna are nearby where they awkwardly make connections. Both are obviously a little bit taken with one another and a possible quest to help get them together might be possible.

Well, I sometimes worry that I am fostering her unrealistic expectations, and doing all this for naught, when I could be having her train to do something more steady like being a baker or leather worker.
That is quite kind of you, Lolette. I thank you so much for this. It will ease the strain, to be certain. I won't forget it, and I will pay you back for it.
Verna's father Cedric sold their home a few years after her mother died so that they could travel and foster Verna's love for painting. He has taken her to the museum to study the paintings and research in the library and take on labor jobs in the evenings to help supplement their funds. She's a smart and outgoing girl who has a very good sense of judging character and gravitates to adults who she feels are safe and who can help foster her curiosity about things and effectively avoid those who might be questionable or don't enjoy the company of kids. She shows a great deal of potential and drive as a painter, so her dad does everything he can to encourage her and sees to it she has what she needs to pursue her passion.

Oh yeah! It's like the water seems a slightly different color and makes everything reflected seem... tinted that color? Is tinted the right word?
Oh yes, I'd love to paint all the great palaces across High Rock and the fancy temples of Alinor, or maybe one day the Imperial City itself!
I KNOW I'm not a pest. ... Because last time you told me the same thing, and I told him you said it, he said (imitating a deep voice and belly laugh): "Oh Shor's bones no, my dear, you certainly aren't a bother to me.. Ha ha ha."
Marcus Flynn is a bold and roguish treasure hunter who has come to the museum in search of insights into the whereabouts of glory and riches. He spends time researching in the library and drooling over the various artifacts. He is able bodied and fairly successful at what he does but is early in his career and definitely over sells his fame and abilities. He's competent but inexperienced deep down.
He has a definite delivery of overly embellished pride and swagger but not arrogant.

Do I regale you with my daring recovery of the bloodstone amulet from the depths of a crumbling cavern? Fleeing for my life with an entire coven, nay an entire BROOD of vampires close at my heels? Or perhaps battling the storm of the century?
Danger looms around every corner of my next venture to be certain and I hear that none can surpass the skill of an Orc smith. Save perhaps the forgemasters of old Morrowind, and I certainly don't see any Dwemer around here.
Millie Lauven is the older sister of Darnette Lauven (the guild's new resident paleontologist). Like her sister she is strong-willed and independent. Both sisters were well-educated at Gwylim University, but then life paths diverged. Unlike her rough-edged, freewheeling, and bohemian sister, Millie prefers the creature comforts of society. As such she has become more refined, cultured and socially adept during stints at various jobs such as merchant, court scribe, personal secretary, and library transcription, before taking a job at the museum as a steward.

There are times I envy Darnie her free and easy ways. But then I remember how much I like good food, clean hot baths, and a comfortable bed.
Already ahead of you, sir. I noticed we were low when checking all the storages. I also noticed we were short on charcoal. I took the liberty of ordering a box of each. Will that be sufficient?
The museum guards get hired over time as the museum grows and needs more protection. The guards basically roam about on various shifts and and have a wide range of random idle commentary towards the patrons, the player, or just thinking to themselves. They have a handful of general topics the player can inquire with them about and each voice type has the same selection of randomized lines.

Had a bit of a mess in the library. Some patrons failed to return the books to the book return and put them on the shelf, in the wrong places of course. Auryen had it sorted out pretty quickly though.
It's hard to imagine the Dwemer building so many amazing things and then just up and vanishing like that.
There are so many displays it may take you a couple visits to take it all in. If you'd like lodgings, you can get a room at the Winking Skeever in town or the Wayward Rest boarding house right across the road.
