Rurouni Kenshin (2023) Abridged Parody Series (ADDED MORE ROLES!)
Project Overview
Hi, I'm Pika Cheeks and I'm looking to return to Abridged and start a new series! Rurouni Kenshin (2023) Abridged! My channel has +30,000 Subscribers
Rurouni Kenshin is set in Meiji Era Japan where swords and samurai have been abolished. Himura Kenshin was once known as Battousai The Manslayer, an assassin who fought for the Imperialists against the Shogunate. Once the Imperialists won, Kenshin put down his sword and vowed to never kill, he now travels as a wanderer with a reverse edged sword that cannot kill.
For now I’m mainly looking to cast the main female lead! Production is already underway and it's near completion just need to cast the main female lead! I already have someone voicing Kenshin for me. Some roles I've recently added are for next planned episodes so it'll be awhile until then, but since production is going good here they are! (Some characters will show up in episode 2 and 3 so I hope you could be patient if I cast you for those characters!)
I may have to extend the deadline if needed, please understand this is passion project and I'd love to select the most brilliant of people!

There are some certain rules I must make so by auditioning you'll agree with these terms:
REQUIREMENTS
You must add me on Discord for easier communication if you have been casted. Communication is important.
Lines are expected to have a 2 Week turnover, if you are unable to do so, please tell me and set a date on when you could! I'll understand!
You must be committed and interested in the project! Without that then you'll ultimately be wasting not only your time and effort but also mine!
No headphone mics! Blue Yetis and AT2020 or similar quality is minimum!
You must be down for Direction if requested, especially if you're a recurring character! If you do a good job and I can see you understand the character well then Direction won't be needed!
Be okay with Redos! I have a vision and I aim to make sure everyone does a great job! I might need to ask for Redos, some things can't be noticed until done! I'll be patient and understanding. Please understand this is important.
You must be okay with Swearing!
If you have a problem, be sure to tell me. Communication is important!
I'd like to make sure there's some nice quality in the production and presentation. I'd like to keep it a semi-professional type of approach but I don't want to be too strict or formal! Let's have a good time!

ROLE - Lead / Main Character
Character - Kaoru is the main heroine of the series, she is acting grand master of Kamiya Kasshin-Ryu, a dojo that teaches swordsmanship.
Personality - She is a strong willed girl who is willing to fight and defend others. Mature and responsible. However she also has a sarcastic and almost bratty aspect to her. She is one to speak her mind but is also considerate of others.

Cool story bro, sounds like a fancy way of saying you’re homeless! (You’re being sassy and you don’t believe someone’s claim.)
I don’t care who you were! Your past doesn’t matter to me! Because the person I met; was a homeless guy - a Rurouni named Kenshin! (Emotional, you're finally being honest and trying to convince someone not to leave.)
ROLE - Main Supporting Character
Character - Yahiko is a main supporting character. He is the son of a samurai however both of his parents have died. He ends up becoming a student of Kaoru’s.
Personality - He is hot headed and is eager to do the right thing. He is still young and naive however and has much to learn.
Voice - High-Mid Range Voice. A young boy voice, preferably voiced by a Female Voice Actress. A certain Raspiness and Bass to his voice would be great. Most likely a few shouting lines from him, so expect that. Ash Ketchum is also a good reference.

ROLE - Main Supporting Character
Character - Sanosuke is a main supporting character. He is an ex-imperialist soldier who now hates the current government with a grudge. He works as a Fight Merchant or Fighter For Hire and often likes getting into Street Brawls with people.
Personality - Hot headed as much as he is thick headed. He’s a happy go lucky guy and is the type to punch first, ask questions later. He’s the kind of friend where people ask “Why do you keep him around?” but then when hard times come, he’s the most reliable person there is. Think Joey Wheeler or Arataki Ittou or majority of the cast from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
Voice - Mid-Deep Range Voice. A young adult or adult male voice. Be sure to give the sense of a chill and cool person, however can get fired up, eager for a good fight. I’m open to anyone’s interpretation for the voice! However a good base I’d say is something along the lines of Joey Wheeler from Yu-Gi-Oh! Or Arataki Ittou from Genshin Impact.

ROLE - Extra/Minor Character
Character - A Yakuza thug who is a part of an angry mob that forms because Kenshin wants to put Sushi on Pizza. This character wants to inform Kenshin that he's being insensitive and distasteful to Japanese and Italian culture.
Voice - Deep Range Voice. Almost monotone sounding. Honestly I'd just love an amazing Kronk or Patrick Warburton impression!
