Project Overview

Synopsis:


Hannah Walters, a 16 soon to be 17 year old African-American girl with Autism, after years of bullying and being picked on, and after the first two years of high school being filled with not many bright moments, is given the chance for a brand-new start at a new school for her junior year. When she realizes she could begin her rise to the top, and become a true leader, like she has always wanted to be, she will try to overcome all of the bullying that she is facing, and she'll have to become what she has always seen herself to be, while meeting some new friends along the way.


This started as a novel that I had been working on for quite sometime, and now it's becoming something more, and I am beyond excited about it. 


There is no guarentee that I will ever generate enough income from this in order to pay the talent (hence why everything is set to deferred, depending on project success). I just want to make that clear before you all audition and all that.


UPDATE (11/6/2023): 


I am choosing to add the majority of the roles that I will require for this project, and as a result I am going to pushing the audition deadline back to the end of the year, to allow as much time as possible for auditions to come in, and also to have time to add all the roles that I want to add to this call.

  • New Casting Update!

    Hey everyone!

    First of all, I would like to welcome Hannah Elizabeth as a member of the writing staff for this project. I'm super excited to be working with them on everything to come.

    Now to the main part of this announcement, I wanted to update everyone on the situation with the casting of the main five. As a reminder, the auditions for those five (Hannah, Allison, Amelie, Nadia, and Sam), all close Saturday morning at 9:30 AM EST.

    Based on the flow of auditions that have been received, this is the game plan: Between now and Saturday morning, I will personally be contacting people that have audition for the main five roles, and offering feedback, and if necessary, get more samples from them.

    This is so that I have enough time in order to make the best decision for the cast possible. If anyone else wishes to audition for the main five, you can do so before the stated deadline.

    Those who have auditioned for all other roles, I will begin listening to them next week, when I am mostly off, and I will begin getting in touch with all of you then.

    This is really exciting to be at this very moment where this project inches closer to really taking off, and I look forward to what is to come!

  • Final Role Count (At Least For Now!)

    Hey everyone! After going through the source material that I have from my debut novel for this series, I have updated and added all of the roles that are included in that as of right now, bringing us now to a total necessary role count of 46, combined of singing and VA roles, just VA roles, and behind the scenes roles like assistant writers and animators!

    This is about to be something truly special, and I couldn't be more excited!

    Also, auditions will be closing December 9th at 9:30 AM EST for my main five roles in this series, which are:

    Nadia Love

    Sam Walters

  • Project Update

    Hey everyone!

    I have made the decision to change this from an audiobook project to an animated project. It should all work the same way, so no one will have to redo anything in which they have submitted.

    In addition to this, I have chosen my first music producer, so congratulations to them! I will be picking more, assuming more auditions for that role come in, so if you got any experience with that, feel free to take a shot at it!

  • Audition Deadline Extension + Roles Added

    Hello to everyone who has auditioned so far for this project and/or is keeping with the updates on this project. Thank you so much for taking the time to do that!

    I wanted to give you a notice that the audition deadline for all roles has been extended. You now have 12 AM CDT (2 AM EDT) on January 1st, 2024. In addition, I have made the decision to add a lot of the other side and recurring roles to this call. You are more than welcomed to audition for more than one character if you feel you are up to the task. Of course, I will only be picking one VA per role, but you're more than welcomed to audition for as many as you would like!
