Project: ESCAPE (WIP name) is a puzzle/adventure game, blending together puzzle gameplay with a rich narrative via more typical visual novel elements in the vein of games such as 999 or Virtue's Last Reward.The continuation from the initial prototype focuses on an expanded cast of characters that Kevin and Alice stumble upon almost moments after escaping their cell. As it turns out, this nightmare they find themselves thrust into is far from over. More puzzles lie in wait for them. More mysteries are afoot. And strangest of all...their captor is revealed to be a maniacal cat. Will this ragtag group of individuals be able to work together to escape this seemingly unending gauntlet of challenges, or will despair consume them before they escape?
This is the continuation of an existing project, and you can see the initial opening of that game by clicking [here], if you're curious!

Hiya there! Thank you for checking the thread out! As the title states, I'm in search of two voice actors and five voice actresses to fill the roles of the seven characters I have for the continuation of my project.
To sum the project up, it up, it's essentially an adventure puzzle game with heavy visual novel elements. So you'll explore environments, search for clues, gather items and ultimately solve puzzles! This is the second segment of an on-going, almost episodic style series I'm putting together, and I was really happy with how the first part came together, and am excited to bring the second part to life, given all the colourful new characters that make their debut!
Auditions will be held from May 1st to May 15th.
From there, depending on the volume of submissions, a day or two will be set aside to go over the auditions sent in and determine who will be cast. In the event of there being an insufficient amount of auditions for any given role, or somebody is unable to take the role after being cast, the audition deadline may be extended a further week or two depending on the situation.Please take the following into account when submitting an audition:
- Have a clear microphone. (No background noise, fuzziness, etc.)
- I ask that all those who may audition are at least 18 years of age
- This is a paid job, ensuring a minimum of $80 for each character--though several characters have varying, higher amounts depending on how much they're involved in the given part.
- Katherine, Christie and the Warden (Cat) all have extended roles in this particular segment and will get $120 per role. Blake's role will get $100 due to having an extended role, but not as extensive as the aforementioned characters.
- You may audition for as many of the characters as you wish.
- If you audition for either the human or cat warden, ideally I'd wish for you to also audition for the other, as they come as a pair of sorts, where the cat is being voiced by the human. But I may be willing to make an exception to this if I felt one voice was perfect for the cat and vice versa for the human warden.
- Regarding the cat character, while no actual gender has been attributed to them, I've included them as a female role because it's to be expected that whoever is chosen for the human warden would voice the cat, too for consistency's sake, given it's implied she's voicing it and such, if that makes sense!
- For the cat's voice, it was difficult to put it into short, brief terms that would fit within the scope of the listing, but think along the lines of characters such as Morgana from Persona 5 and Monokuma from Danganronpa if that helps! The warden herself would have traces of this in her voice to make it apparent she voices the avatar, but not be as exaggerated herself.
- This is intended to be a series of episodic style releases that'll be released for free and no money will be made off of it on my side. I'm making this purely for the fun of it.
- In terms of content that will be expected to be voiced, this game will be essentially an 'all-ages' visual novel, with the extent of things being very minor cursing. (Crap, damn, hell, etc.)
- Audition lines have been split into two parts per line: the actual line to be recorded, and the vocal direction to accompany it, to give an idea as to the emotion and intent behind the line. Needless to say, the 'DIRECTION' part of the audition line doesn't need to be recorded. I apologise for how cluttered it makes the line look this time around but the field to input lines is far more restrictive than it used to be, haha. ;~;
If you have any questions regarding anything here, about the characters, or the project itself, please feel free to get in touch via a comment or PM.Thank you for your time and I'm looking forward to hearing your auditions!
