So many auditions! We never thought so much talent would audition. So because there are so many of you guys and you guys are all so talented we will need some time to make our decision. So don't panic if you don't hear anything for a few days. Covid-19 hasn't got us or anything like that. So stay safe, stay healthy and thank you again

We have passed the half way point!
So the gang of writers and I have been blown away by everyone's auditions. It has truly been so much fun and a privilege to hear characters that have been living in our heads come to life (In a non-crazy way). Also, I will be providing feedback to all auditions during this week. So feel free to submit another audition with the feedback or audition for any of the other characters if you feel you can do it. So thanks again for all the auditions so far and we look forward to welcoming people on board at the end of the casting call.
The Preacher appears in the story "Gods of the Erasi". The Preacher is giving this oration on the street in an ancient metropolis. So the delivery should be impassioned and ceremonial.
Gather! Hear the tale of our gods:
We, born of earth and come screaming into the world, praise Eruon and Sakya- father earth and mother wind- for shaping us from his clay and filling us with her breath of life...
In time, Orodon grew bored and annoyed with the brief splashes of color, viewing them as mockery from his younger brother. Too short were the displays, the flowers prone to drooping and losing the brilliant petals that mirrored the sun's own face as if to say, "Look, Brother! See how your own glory fades each day".
So it went for eons: Eruon trying to please his brother, Orodon's jealousy raging forth, and Sakya providing succor and love to her husband and children.
The Protagonist/Narrator appears in the story "Lost Dreams". One morning her daily commute is flipped on its head as the world seems stranger than usual. Roughly there are 1700 words of narration.
I sensed the tension, because all three of them were looking at me. They were looking straight at me, without a smile. Were they surprised? Scared? I wonder now, looking back at that dark and foggy morning.
«Why shouldn’t I be here today morning?» I asked.
I woke up suddenly, with the feeling that too much time had passed. I looked out the dirty window, with the fear that I missed the station. I calmed down right away, as soon as I recognized the scenery. I fought against the desire to doze a bit more and I stood up, and walked to the doors.
Alfredo appears in the story "Lost Dreams". The old bartender is in his mid 50's.
«Ah, good morning…» he mumbled
«What are you doing still here? Didn’t you leave yet?» he yelled
«And then go away to America!» snorted Alfredo
Ranuccia appears in the story "Lost Dreams". One of the usual customers of the cafè. She’s an old woman with a deep and hoarse voice, who mumbles always the same sentences to herself.
«I have to get to the city, the city, I take the train at 6.50 am, in the city I have to go and I have to take the train, I take the train, I take the train…»
The female customer appears in the story "Lost Dreams". Another of the usual customers. She’s very direct, cold in her ways, speaks with a slight accent, and gets stressed very easily.
«You shouldn’t be here today morning,» she said with that indecipherable inflection in her voice, a sort of accent, that I still couldn’t pinpoint.
«Yes, but she shouldn’t! Not this morning!»
«A train, simply a train» the woman said nervously. «We still haven’t understood if everybody can see it: the fact is that no one ever talks about it and until now it seems like only us in this cafè know it.»
The ticket inspector appears in the story "Lost Dreams". Another of the usual customers. He is a middle-aged man, easy going and who likes to grin and tease.
«Don’t start becoming anxious you too, little girl! You are used as well as us to see trains passing by in here.»
«What are you scared of? We’ll have a companion when the train passes by»
«She’s coming every morning, of course she’s here».
The Peddler appears in the story "Lost Dreams". Another of the usual customers. He is a middle-aged man, who expresses himself with broken grammar and a strong accent.
«Boss, ticket to Milan.»
«Ah, boss, in America everything better, everyone nicer.»
«In America, in America everything better!»
The Narrator appears in the story "My little Knight". Roughly there are 1500 words of narration. The ability to emote while keeping clarity is what we are searching for in the narration.
The house lay forgotten in a long-abandoned town. Its shattered windows clouded by the night's frost. A sign clung to a rusted chain beside Caroline's head as she approached the door. Like the rest of the town, it had been completely covered by moss and ivy. It was also dead like every inch of flora in town.
Caroline followed the vines and roots to where they were thickest, to the basement. It was dark but for a pulsating purple glow. Caroline stalked toward the light's source, a beating heart pierced by a blade and enshrined in a mess of thick necrotic roots and vines. The blade pulsated, pouring energy into the heart which in turn pumped life into the rest of the shambling mound with rhythmic sickening wet throbs.
With his name called, the boy faded away. Caroline then proceeded to instinctively call out names, and with each name called a spectre disappeared. It took her almost an hour to finish the ritual but when she opened her eyes again the ghosts were gone and the town would soon follow. The fire was consuming everything. She stood in the only unburned stretch of land as far as she could see. Exhausted, Caroline simply sat down and watched the town burn.
Caroline appears in the story "My little Knight". Caroline is Ferryman of the Dead. She is in her late 20's and is friendly to all that will allow her but her job comes first and some dead don't make that job easy.
"I am afraid I’m not your mother but she asked me to visit," Caroline stated cheerfully.
"I, Caroline, release you from this mortal coil and ferry the dead on to the next life, the toll has been paid for these souls, they pass on with my blessing and protection. Hiram!"
Shambling Mound appears in the story "My little Knight". This undead abomination's only goal is to keep growing and protect what it has claimed.
Ah yes. The witch. She is dead then. Please come in and see how I have upheld the bargain. I insist
My rot runs too deep and is too old for you to fight. This land is dead. This land is mine
Begone ferryman, you have no business here!
Hiriam appears in the story "My little Knight". Hiriam is very protective of what little family he has left. This has blinded him to the horror of the situation he is living in.
What if she tries to hurt you? I can help!
Pape said he will be up in a second. He also said I am to keep an eye on you!
I will get him.
The Witch appears in the story "My little Knight". She has postponed her transition to the other side to do one thing, get revenge.
MAY YOU NEVER FIND PEACE!
We both know my little boy is dead!
