Project Overview

The Idea

This project is an analog horror ARG based on a friendly candy company, Mellish Sweets Inc., that unexpectedly killed a population of people based on its widely distributed product. It's a stark social commentary on how far the control and greed can get within capitalist companies.

The Presentation

How the story comes across is incredibly important for this ARG. Below is a list of what I am looking for in each submission for this project:


  • Realistic acting. Since this is horror, the way the conversation flows will have to be as convincing as possible, which means to act as realistic as possible.


  • Dedication to character. Whoever is the most committed to whatever character they're auditioning for will get the role. This adds to realistic acting.


  • A clean microphone. All of the official voice recordings will be edited to a downgraded audio sound to fit the analog aspect. It would be great to have a clean microphone so it's easier for the editing.


  • Honest correspondence. If you want to voice act for this project, then you will have to be active enough to be able to respond to deadlines and updates in a timely manner.


  • Discord. Please add your Discord username to your submission to make it easier for communication.


All of the scripts are written at this point, so when you are chosen for your role, you will not have to wait to start working. Once you are chosen, you may start right away up until your deadline. Depending on the density of the role, deadlines will vary. The deadline for this casting call is subject to change.

Some roles are paid and differently based on the complexity and involvement they have in the ARG. Everyone who is involved with this project will get paid eventually with profit shares. It is preferred that you have PayPal, Venmo, or Zelle for payment.

The role images are based off of actors and actresses who look vaguely similar to how the character would look. These images are placeholders and won't be used in the ARG.

  • Audition Hiatus

    So sorry to pause the auditions. I wish I could make a complete decision now, for all of the talented auditions made, but I may not if I intend this project to fit a perfect story scheme. To fit this proposed story scheme, I will have to hone in on my writing skills but studying and practicing more than I have. The purpose of the project remains, but I intend to put expert craftmanship into it.

    Every audition counts, so thank you so much for all those who tried! Results will come out when I find the story complete, which may be another year, or a few months, who knows.

  • Close to 200 Submissions

    Hello everyone! Thank you for your auditions. I try to file through them at least once a week. I will give occasional feedback if I see fit. I thank everyone for their interest in this project.

    I've been extending the deadline consistently because I am reviewing the project as of now. I want to project to be perfect for the theme it is intended. So this means reviewing and simplifying the draft product until I find it perfect and ready for production.

    Thank you for your patience. The draft should hopefully be done by the New Year, and around that time, I should hopefully be able to apply applicants to roles. I will be accepting all submissions until then. Please DM me or comment on the project if you have questions!

    I should also be able to post the website in Casting Call Club in the mean time. Just so you all can get a better idea of how this project will present itself.

Heather is the central character of the ARG. He was known to be an approachable and friendly owner of Mellish Sweets. Outside of his secluded childhood, he quickly created friends in the public due to his caring and kind nature. He aimed the business for purely treating people because he loved them so much. But he knows his naivety and because he can't help it, he can be a bit defensive.

His voice is interpretive upon his personality. A Flemish accent would be great to experiment.

Alby is the main antagonist of this ARG. He is the curator of how Mellish came to be, destructive, and blamed it on Heather once he closed down the business. He is the cause behind the puzzle of Collection of Consequences. Before his true nature was revealed with Mellish Sweets, he was seen as an honest, best friend to Heather. He was funny, smart, and charming. He was well known in town, as for why so many people easily believed Alby when he blamed Heather for the destruction of Mellish Sweets.

Alby was born and raised in the rural part of Concord, New Hampshire in a low class dysfunctional family. Abuse wasn't moralized as his dad eventually killed his mom when he was a young teen. Despite what happened at home, Alby was indifferent to it and created a great reputation at school and downtown. He had many friends, but he was never afraid to enter his house. Because it didn't affect him. Alby was always abnormal, but nobody would have noticed that.

The interviewer will be in a few tapes recording for the local Concord news. They will interview locals, Alby, and past employees of Mellish Sweets, trying to promote the Missing Heather Campaign.

Their voice is obviously impacted by the situation as they create a clear bias against Heather. They will sound sorrowful and angry in their approach to the news.

  • Over 100 townspeople died directly from consuming the Mellish Sweets desserts as of two days ago here in Concord, New Hampshire. Upon the company’s 25th anniversary yesterday, one of the owners, Heather Zahra, liquidated the business and went missing. This man is supposedly the perpetrator of this horrific incident. Here’s what the second owner, Alby, has to say about the incident.
