Project Overview
The Project
Lone Wolf is a 2D animated thesis film made at the School of Visual Arts in New York. It is a horror short, with emotional beats and a touch of comedy. The film is currently in the works, with the animatic and designs being worked on and finalized within the next few weeks. If you are a fan of traumatized siblings and big scary monsters, this film is for you!
Synopsis
After stopping at a convenience store after their mom’s funeral, two adrift sisters find themselves trapped with a murderous wolf with an insatiable appetite.

The ArtistHowdy! I’m Angelina Retodo, a story artist, producer, and 2D animator currently studying at SVA. I'm from the Bay Area, California, I have three cats and love cartoons. I'm excited to have you audition for this project, and I hope you have some fun with it!

[LEAD ROLE]
- Around 16 lines, 127 words.
A heavy amount of sound effects are needed, including hyperventilating and crying
- The project is still in the early stages so I may need retakes but I will try to keep notes and changes minimal!
- Please only apply if you have a good recording setup. Auditions with poor recording quality will not be considered!
Older Sister
18 years old, Female
Protective, anxious, and stubborn
After her mother’s death, she feels responsible for taking care of her younger sister, despite being terrified of doing so. Their sibling friendship has shifted, as she feels the overwhelming pressure to suppress her self-doubt and protect her sister at all costs.
Fears: Losing control
Wants: To protect her sister
Older Sister Demo Lines
Please submit 5 different takes of each line as an mp3 or wav file.
Line #1: No... Put it back we're not getting it. It's (looking for the right words) junk food okay? Just stay right here, I'll be in the bathroom.
Context: She is scolding the younger sister for trying to get gummy worms, and interrupting her as she tries to talk about their mom who just passed away.
Acting Notes: Tired and saddened. Acting parental, but really just trying to avoid the subject of their recently deceased mom. You can try ad-libbing this line if you think of a way it reads better!
Line #2: No, just stop! You are not doing anything. Just stay here!
Context:
She is scolding her younger sister for trying to help her. She's about to face the wolf alone.
Acting Notes: Frustrated, overprotective, terrified.

Younger Sister
10 years old, Female
innocent, sensitive, and supportive
Despite her mother's death, she tries to project an upbeat attitude in hopes of rebuilding her friendship with her sister. Ever since the funeral, she has felt farther from her sister than ever before. She will make every attempt to connect with her, and hopefully not feel so alone as she tries to preserve the good memories she has of her mother.
Fears: Being abandoned
Wants: Connection
Younger Sister Demo Lines
Line #1: I'm getting gummy worms! The sour ones were mom's favorite. Remember when she used to bite them in half and put the pieces back together?
Context: She is showing the older sister a bag of gummy worms she found.
Acting Notes: Excited, reminiscent, recalling a fond memory with a hint of sadness.
Line #2:
Wait- What? Are you... Are you leaving me here? (pause, after no response) Well, take me with you, I- I can help!
Context:
Her older sister is about to go kill the wolf, and she wants to go with her.
Acting Notes:
Fearful, desperate, sensitive, concerned.
