Gravity Falls: Scary-oke Full Fandub
Project Overview
A Halloween fan dub of Season 2, Episode 1 of Gravity Falls! This particular project is going to be released on Halloween as a mini celebration.
Gravity Falls follows the Pines family, comprised of Dipper (a curious boy who wants to solve the mysteries of his town), Mabel (the personification of happiness), and their Grunkle Stan (a grumpy con artist with a soft spot for his family). Dipper is determined to uncover the mysteries of Gravity Falls, but Stan is just as determined to keep his niece and nephew away from it, while Mabel's primary concern is enjoying the party they are throwing in honor or the reopening of Stan's business. The conflict eventually culminates in Dipper literally raising the dead in the middle of the party, forcing the Pines family to come together to fight their way out.
You must have a good quality microphone and must avoid background noise and peaking. These characters are VERY energetic; please be willing to commit fully to their emotions, eccentricities, and energy. You must be able to get all lines in by October 12th so that I can have time to edit a trailer and premiere the dub by Halloween. Please only audition if you can commit to these things. Discord is not required, but it is recommended as we utilize it to organize group rehearsals, deliver announcements, and distribute scripts.
Have fun and good luck!

Hello everyone! The response I've received to this casting call has far exceeded my expectations. I've begun casting minor roles, but I will be leaving leads and supporting characters open until the deadline on the 24th to ensure I receive all potential auditions. If you auditioned for a lead/supporting role, please do me a favor and comment your Discord and/or email address below your auditions so that I can add you to the server if cast. Thank you everyone!
Curious and somewhat obsessive, Dipper is determined to discover the strange secrets of Gravity Falls. His voice should be younger, higher pitched and have a wimpier sound to it.
Mabel, we gotta talk. Almost losing my journal made me realize that I’m halfway through the summer and still no closer to figuring out the big mysteries of Gravity Falls. Gideon almost destroyed the town to get his hands on this journal. But why? Who wrote it? Where are all the other journals? What was Bill talking about when he said everything was going to change? There’s something huge going on right under our noses. And it’s time we stop goofing around and get to the bottom of it.
Are you kidding me?? I’m investigating the exact same thing!! I found this journal in the woods which has almost all the answers! If we work together, we can crack the case!
We can talk right now! Please, please, come in. I have so much to show you!
Oh my gosh! What have I done???
Three part harmony? How can we create that? I have a naturally high pitched scream.
A gravelly, deep voice. A professional con artist, Stan Pines has made his living off of a fake tourist trap he has manufactured in Gravity Falls. Despite his hard and grumpy exterior, Stan has great love for his family and a devotion to protecting them at all costs.
We’re here to celebrate the defeat of that little skunk, Lil Gideon. Please, please. Boo harder!
Welcome to the Mystery Shack, gentlemen; what can I get you? Keychains? Snow globes? These rare photos of American presidents?
Ha ha, I’m sorry agents. Kid has an overactive imagination, and like, a sweating problem.
Those agents could ruin everything. Darn kid. He has no idea what he’s messing with. He’s stubborn; that’s his problem. Sorta like me, I suppose.
You two! Attic! Now! All right you undead jerks, you ready to die twice??
I’m not an idiot, Dipper. Of course this town is weird. And the one thing I know about that weirdness is that it’s dangerous. I’ve been lying about it to try to keep you away from it! To try to protect you from it!
The handyman of the Mystery Shack and an honorary member of the Pines family, Soos is the friendly, warm-hearted, sort of empty-headed friend to Dipper and Mabel. A deep voice.
Hey Mr. Pines. What’s that code word I’m supposed to yell when I see a government vehicle?
Booh-bah-booh-booh-booh, swag!
Get back, dudes. This is about to get intense!
Second thought…gonna flip the script. Can I eat your brains? Yay or nay? I’m seeing some yay faces over here.
The fun-loving, daring friend of Mabel and Dipper's, Wendy is adventurous, friendly, and clever. Her voice should have a laidback tone to it.
Buy a ticket, people! You know you don’t have anything else going on in your lives! I’m talking to you, Pizza Guy; don’t lame out on me!
Dude, I probably shouldn’t be telling you this, but I’m pretty sure Stan hides like everything in his room.
Yeah, you’re probably right. That’s what makes it FUN, dummy.
A professional and serious individual, Agent Powers is humorless and clean-cut. His voice is deep and commanding, reminiscent of informercial voice overs.
My name is Agent Powers; this is Agent Trigger. We’re here to investigate reports of mysterious activity in this town.
I assure you I am not. I was born with a rare disorder that makes me physically incapable of experiencing humor.
That information is classified, but yes. Look, between you and me, I believe there’s a conspiracy of paranormal origin all connected to this town. We’re just one small lead away from blowing the lid off of this entire mystery.
The loyal follower to Agent Powers. Trigger follows orders and acts as a vocal support to anything Powers says. His voice should be mid-range in depth and booming.
I’m confiscating these for evidence.
I can confirm. Not funny.
One of Mabel's best friends, Grenda is aggressive, eccentric, and warm. Though her character is technically female, her voice should be rough and deep.
SMASH! Grenda has entered the party!
Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh, Mabel! Is that a boom box sweater?
Higher voice with a Southern accent. Deputy Durland is a childlike, foolish individual who clearly has no idea what he's doing at any point in time.
We got complaints about the loudest party in town.
One of the two patrolmen of Gravity Falls, Sheriff Blubs is as foolish and ridiculous as Deputy Durland, with slightly more reservation. His voice should be deep and gravelly.
Three words. We want in.
The epitome of a manly man, Dan is a lumberjack and speaks only in an aggressive yell. Deep, powerful voice.
These cakes are full of MEAT!
One of the dumb high school boys of Wendy's friend group, Nate and his pals spend their time humiliating Thompson as a show of their friendship. He should have a mid-range voice, fitting to a young adult.
Thompson! Take off your shirt and make it a rave.
Wimpy and desperate for the approval of his friends, Thompson consistently subjects himself to humiliation in order to keep his group together. His voice should be higher and wimpier.
I’LL DO ANYTHING FOR YOUR APPROVAL!! Aw, come on!
Very valley girl in demeanor, Tambry never takes her eyes from her phone. Her voice is gravelly and lower.
I promise I won’t send it to anyone.
The personification of adorableness, he spends his days encouraging people and being enthusiastic. His voice should be high and clear.
Tambry sends me the craziest texts!
A wimpy reporter at a failing newspaper publication, Toby's voice is nasal and his demeanor is awkward.
Smile for the camera!
I just wanna be a part of things.
A collected, professional reporter with a cool demeanor. Her voice is deep, smooth, and confident.
Smile for a real camera.
