Englewood After Dark is a horror/comedy audio drama following the adventures of Finn Nightingale and Eve Pemberly.
Finn and Eve started this podcast as a way to uncover the many secrets lurking on the haunted campus of Englewood University and, after facing down an ancient secret society, they are beginning to believe their own hype. Their current case, The Locked Room Murders, pushes them to their limits and forces them to see their world differently.
Because Englewood really is haunted, and now, so are they.
Episode Note: Episode 19 is accompanied by a spin-off vignette staring Cathleen, Brenda and Peter that explores the origin of the Bloody Mary mythos in Englewood.
We have four nonrecurring roles in this call, so please apply with that in mind. However, in the future we will need more roles filled so watch this space! If you have already auditioned for us, please feel free to audition again. Lines will be recorded asynchronously.

First off, thank you all so much for your auditions. Last few days on this call but just wanted to share that the casting call for the next episode is up! James (20) was a student at Englewood University before his untimely demise. As a ghost, he had very little time to haunt the campus he had left behind before he was taken. Now free from captivity, his spirit is suffused with a sense of paranoia and dread. James is a small nonrecurring role with around 8 lines.
(confused after being summoned to the seance) How did I get here?
(recounting what happened after he was captured as a ghost) And then I wasn’t... I was... Floating in a void and there were so many others.
(paranoid and scared) Don’t make me go back there.
Brenda (18) an Englewood native who believes in ghosts. She is after a thrill for the evening and is convincing her friend Cathleen to play a version of ‘Bloody Mary’. This is a nonrecurring role with around 20 lines.
(Wheedling) Come on! It’ll be fun.
I played at a slumber party as a kid. One of the girls was so scared she had to call her mom to come pick her up.
(Begging for her life) P-please! I didn’t mean it!
Cathleen (18) a skeptic who doesn’t really believe in ghosts but is willing to go along with playing spooky games for a thrill. This is a nonrecurring role with around 20 lines.
(Concerned) I don’t know about all this. I think we shouldn’t poke the bear.
(Long-suffering) This is stupid.
(Annoyed at Peter) You’re an asshole, huh?
Peter (21) is Brenda’s older brother who not only believes in ghosts but knows that what his sister is doing will bring chaos down upon their heads. He is cautious and pissed that his sister is being so irresponsible. This is a nonrecurring role with around 20 lines.
(Angry and scared) What the hell are you doing?
(Scolding) Don’t be a brat, Brenda.
(Exasperated) If you bring it’s eyes upon you- forget it. You, (Cathleen) get your coat. You’re leaving.
