Project Overview
Welcome to the casting call for A Goofy Move: Full Fandub!! Here are couple of things you should know BEFORE submitting an audition:
1. You must have at least decent mic quality. As long as I can hear you clearly, we are good.
2. Have little to no background noise when recording. Audio editing can only remove so much. No fans or electric buzzing please.
3. Be open. You may not get the role you are cast for, but could likely get asked to play a different role.
4. HAVE FUN! It is a Goofy movie after all.
One more thing; A majority of those who audition will be asked about joining the ensemble and playing extras. There are A LOT of one-off characters in this movie, so head down to the Extras role if there is a specific one you wanna go for. (I can't wait to hear at least one, "Hey! It's the GOOF BOY" audition).

Goofy is a single dad who takes care of his son Max, but is a tad silly and clumsy. Often embarasses Max but outwardly expresses how much he cares for him. Bonus points if you can do the Goofy yell, but its not necessary to include in your audition. Here is the audition video for reference:

Goofy: (documenting) Day one: Well, here we are. Out on the open road! Retracin' the steps of my boyhood. (show host like) And here's Maxie! Ahyuk! Say hi, Max! (pause) Well, how about a wave?
[Max: Not now, dad.]
Goofy: (happily) Ahyuk! What a kidder!(Starts quiet and calm, and slowly gets louder and more excited as the cast is made)
Goofy: Okay now, watch carefully. You gotta be loose. Relaxed. With your feet apart, and... Ten o'clock. Two o'clock. Quarter to three! Tour Jete! Twist! Over! Pas de deux! I'm a little teapot! And the windup...(pauses) And let 'er fly!!! The Perfect Cast!Goofy: (yelling) I was only tryin' to take my boy fishin', okay?!
[I'm NOT your little boy anymore, Dad! I've grown up! I've got my own life now!]Goofy: (exasperated) I know that! (defeated) I just wanted to be part of it!
{pause}Goofy: (somber) You're my son, Max. No matter how big you get, you'll always be my son.

Max: Yeah?
[Yeah.]
Max: Good.

Max: Terrific.
[ Wonderful.]
Max: All right.

{Stacy starts dragging Roxanne away}
[Well, I'd better be going.]
Max: (smooth) I'll uh, call you later.Max: (furious) Aaghh! This is the STUPPIDEST vacation! You drag me from home, you jam me in this dumb car, then drive a million miles away to see some stupid rat show! (seethes) Call me when the trip's over.
Max: I can't believe I did that! Ugh. She finally says "hi" to me and what do I do? I...choke! Aah! (sarcastically) “Ahyuck!” Like a big spaz!
[Where have you been buddy?]
Max: Hi, Peej...ugh. Did you get the camera?
[Look Max, if my dad catches me with this, he'll kill me! Are you sure we gotta do this?]Max: It's my only chance, Peej. To Roxanne, I'm...I'm just a nobody. But after today...

Roxanne: I know. H-He's--He's totally a genius.
[Y-Yeah, he's doing a concert next week in LA]
Roxanne: Oh yeah! Stacey's showing it at her party.
[Yeah!]
Roxanne: (awkwardly) Yeah!.[Dad: Grr.]
Roxanne: Daddy! {father closes mail slot} I promise, he'll be better behaved when you pick me up for the party.
[Max: Yeah, that's uh, sorta why I came by.]
Roxanne: I'm really looking forward to it Max.
[Yeah. I, was too...]
Roxanne: (disheartened) Was?
[You see, my dad's on this stupid father son kick and--]
Roxanne: Well, don't worry about it, Max. It's just a dumb party.
[No its not. Roxanne, I really wanted to go with you, I--]
Roxanne: No--I...Max, I understand. Really, its ok. These things happen. I'm sure I can find someone else.

Stacey: And also that I hope you can all attend my totally amazing end-of-school party next Saturday to watch the Powerline concert live on Pay-per-view.
[students cheer]
Stacey: (humbly) Thank you. Thank you very much. And now without further ado, Principal Mazur.
Stacey: (quickly blabbering) And then my parent’s air conditioner went on the fritz, so I figured with all those kids in my house, the place would be like a sauna so I'm all freaked out, but then I thought, "Like, use it!" So my theme is gonna be: "Powerline Goes RainForest"! Too much? (pauses) Roxanne, are you listening?
(Roxanne is looking at Max.)
Stacey: Ahhhh! [clicks tongue]
(Roxanne walks over to Max. Stacey gives Roxanne a push towards him.)
[Stacey, no! I don't want to...]
Stacey: (whispering) Talk to him!

Although the original singer is male, I am opening this up to any gender that can bring a powerful performance and really "Stand Out" (sorry I couldn't help it haha). Even if you don't get Powerline, you may be asked to be added to the ensemble and get to sing various solos for songs such as "After Today" and "On the Open Road".

PJ: (singing) To stand out! Woah! Above the crowd. Even if you got to shout out loud! No matter what the look it's Max, I can--(spoken) Max!
[Hey, hey, hey!]
PJ: (greeting) Woah! Small wilderness, dude! Didn't expect to run into you.
[Apparently not!]
PJ: (showing off) You're just jealous man, 'cause you ain't got the moves!
[Yeah, you can keep the moves. But I wouldn't mind having this RV. You're so lucky, man!]
PJ: (disbelief) Me? (chuckles) Aw, come on! You're the star!
[Wha..what are you...]
PJ: Going to the Powerline concert! Aw, it's unbelievable, man!
[Who told you about that?]
PJ: (matter of fact) Hey, come on, everybody in town knows about it, Max. (hyping up) You are gonna be famous, buddy! (teasing) Especially with Roxanne!

Pete: Campin'! Nothing like the great outdoors to strengthen the bond between a father and a son.
[Oh, Max would never go for anything like that.]
Goofy waves a stuffed Bambi in front of the girl.
[Little Girl: Ooh! Gimme!]
Pete: (weary) I don't know, Goof. Something's wrong when a kid won't spend time with his parents. Why, for all you know he's running around with some gang and stealing stuff and causing riots.
[Goofy: Too bad, Pete. Almost.]
Pete: (rebuting) Almost? Heh! Watch this! (yells) PJ!!
PJ comes running up to the roof.
[PJ: Yes, Sir! Coming, Sir! Yes, Sir!]
Pete points at the pin. PJ goes over and kicks it down.
Pete: (over enthusiastic cheering) Woohoo! Strike-ola! Yeeha! Thank you! Thank you! Yes! And the crowd goes wild! “Ahhh”! [laughs] High five, son! Sike! [sputtering laughter] (still laughing but cooling down) Say, Goof, why don't you two stay for dinner?

{Max reaches into his backpack, and brings out a bag, handing it to Bobby. Bobby reaches into the bag and pull out an aerosol can. A look of ecstasy comes to his face.}
Bobby: (gasps) Cheddar! (wolf howl) Cheddar Whizzie!
{He sprays an enormous amount of the cheese into his mouth. Max and PJ look close to nausea.}
[Augh.]
Bobby: (smacks lips and coughs) Mmm. It’s pretty scrumptious! Ha-ha! Let's do it, ladies!
Bobby: A little smokage! Aroo-oo-ooo!

Mazur: Dressed like a gang member, your son caused the entire student body to break into a riotous frenzy! If I were you, Mr. Goof, I'd seriously re-evaluate the way you're raising your child before he ends up in the electric chair!!
