A Goofy Movie: Full Fandub
HBShanks16 for Pete
IMPORTANT: Lines in [*] are purely for reference of the opposite character's lines (in this case Goofy and PJ). Please try to record these while or just after having watched each scene that corresponds with the original movie.
Pete is a self-centered loudmouth and the father of PJ. A boisterous and egotistical character that revels in gossip and having power over others. Looking for someone who can really nail the energy and vocality of this character as close as they can to the original. Here is the audition video for reference: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NvzXy2Hdw6Zcui_bMXdQ3-gMPYJKytPi/view?usp=sharing
Pete: Oh, yeah. Well, they love me. {little girl tries to break free} (chuckles) Why, PJ, he's been begging me to take him on vacation this summer.
[Goofy: Really? Where are you going?]
Pete: Campin'! Nothing like the great outdoors to strengthen the bond between a father and a son.
[Oh, Max would never go for anything like that.]
Goofy waves a stuffed Bambi in front of the girl.
[Little Girl: Ooh! Gimme!]
Pete: (weary) I don't know, Goof. Something's wrong when a kid won't spend time with his parents. Why, for all you know he's running around with some gang and stealing stuff and causing riots.
[Goofy: Too bad, Pete. Almost.]
Pete: (rebuting) Almost? Heh! Watch this! (yells) PJ!!
PJ comes running up to the roof.
[PJ: Yes, Sir! Coming, Sir! Yes, Sir!]
Pete points at the pin. PJ goes over and kicks it down.
Pete: (over enthusiastic cheering) Woohoo! Strike-ola! Yeeha! Thank you! Thank you! Yes! And the crowd goes wild! “Ahhh”! [laughs] High five, son! Sike! [sputtering laughter] (still laughing but cooling down) Say, Goof, why don't you two stay for dinner?
The performance is really good! I think the audio quality might be a bit low sadly, but as for the actual acting part I think you really captured him. That microphone quality is really a damper on it though. (btw I'm not a director, just some random dude.)
Thanks for the input, I felt the same actually, so I’m waiting on new equipment to come in the mail.
