Project Overview

Introduction

Hey everyone! My name is Brandon, and I'm looking for some voice actors for a comic dub I'm going to make. The comic dub will be for the Transformers Movie Prequel Issue #1. I'm a big Transformers fan, and the movies are my childhood (and yes, they are not perfect by any means, I know). But I noticed that while there are Transformers comic dubs out there, there isn't really any for the movie comics. So I'm hoping to change that!

Summary

This comic series takes place before the original '07 movie, which gives us a brief look at the war for Cybertron, and centers around Bumblebee making it to Earth to locate the Allspark. We also see the secret government organization Sector 7 as they discover a frozen Megatron, and later, Bumblebee and the Decepticons arriving on Earth. The comics focus on Bumblebee, but also shows us characters like Sam, Agent Simmons, and even Decepticons like Starscream, Blackout, and Barricade, before the events of the first movie.

The first issue takes place entirely on Cybertron, so there are no human characters shown yet, and none of the Decepticons mentioned above show up yet.

What I'm looking for


  • 16-18+ (Not trying to be rude but I will not be having a 10 year old with a voice changer voicing characters. Please be mature and old enough).


  • Good microphone and little to no background noise, static, etc. The less, the better.


  • Way of communication (preferably Discord, but it can be worked out if you don't have a Discord).


  • Be able to meet deadlines if given/communication (I don't have any right now as I don't have a set release for this fandub, and of course if anything comes up, always feel free to let me know. As long as you can meet a deadline given assuming nothing happens, you're good). 


  • Being a fan of Transformers, and even the movies themselves isn't required, but is appreciated!


Important notes

There are no returning voices from issue #1 except for Megatron, who is only further in issue #2. Bumblebee's voice box gets crushed by Megatron near the end of the issue, and none of the other characters show up/speak again. There will be human characters in further issues, so you are more than welcome to stay and voice another character that I decide/am ok with. If not, it's not a problem. This is assuming everything goes well and I can do all 4 issues, which is what I'd like to do. 

If all goes well and I do indeed dub all 4 issues, I do want to do more Transformers Movie Comic dubs. So if you're cast, I may very well need you in the future. But, you are not required to come back. If you want to come back as your character, awesome! I'd really appreciate it. But if you lose interest, or just don't want to return, that is perfectly fine! But understand that depending on your role, this could be long term. So please consider that before auditioning.

  • New Deadline of September 4th

    Hey everyone! First off, thank you so much to all you who have sent auditions, it means a lot that so many people are interested in this project! So as you can see, the deadline is now September 4th. Why? Because I feel like I still need time to go over auditions, and to let more auditions hopefully come in. Certain characters like Arcee have sadly received no auditions at all, so that's something I'll have to figure out. If there are any further updates, I'll be sure tp post another update here. Also more than likely, this casting call will hopefully end before this new deadline, just to let you all know. Thank you all once again, till all are one!

"Bumblebee is an Autobot warrior and spy in Michael Bay's Transformers film series. While he may not be as big or as powerful as many of the other Autobots, he is a valued member of the team who makes up for his lack of physical strength with his courage, selflessness and eternal optimism. Though Bumblebee has suffered more than his fair share of hardships throughout the Transformers' civil war, he never allows fear or doubt to hinder the performance of his duties to the cause."

Now I know that in the first movie, Bumblebee has a British accent. I'm personally not a big fan of it so it's not what I'm looking for. I'm looking for more of the kind of voice he had in Bumblebee (2018), before losing his voice box. While I don't expect anyone to have this exact voice, something along the lines of it would be nice.   • Bumblebee is talking to himself as he is leaving Cybertron, his home, for the last time to find the Allspark. He feels as if he didn't do enough to stop Megatron, possible only delaying the inevitable, and it's eating away at him.

    "In the all-encompassing silence of outer space, I hear an inner voice-drowned out before in a clamor of crossed swords. With awful clarity, it mocks my best endeavors..." 

    "Too little," it cries, "Too late!"

  • The Decepticons are close to finding the Allspark, and Bumblebee orders his Autobot comrades to take out the roof supports above them. Right now, everything is on the line. If the Decepticons get the Allspark, it's all over.

    "You heard me! We have to stall the Decepticons, and if it costs us our lives, so be it! I'm sorry, but we're out of options..."

    "And out of time!"

  • Megatron is holding Bumblebee by the neck. He already ripped his right arm off and threw him aside, but he tackled him regardless. Bumblebee is determined to stop Megatron, even if it costs him his own life. But, Bumblebee is about to lose something that will change him forever.

    "My... job is done! The Allspark is finally beyond your reach!

"Originally a member of the Autobots' science team, Arcee never stood out as being the "soldier" type until the war broke out. Though small compared to many of her peers and adversaries, she compensates with speed and aggressive maneuvers. Quickly developing hunter skills to be reckoned with, Arcee became one of the most dangerous Autobots around. She is a crack shot with her crossbow weapon, and Sideswipe has trained her to use her speed to her advantage in battle, striking suddenly and swiftly and then vanishing away again as fast as she appeared."

For Arcee's voice, I would say I want it to be something along the lines of how the Arcee Sisters sounded in Revenge of the Fallen, but they barely speak and do anything. So you can take notes from that voice with the limited amount of times they actually speak if you want, or you can try something else. Experiment if you want!   • Arcee, Bumblebee, and the rest of the team are holding back the Decepticons for as long as they can. They are becoming pinned in their entrenchment, the force of the Decepticons is overwhelming. Arcee tells the team to pick their targets, and prevent them from pinning them.

    "Pick your targets! Don't let them encroach!"

  • An explosion has knocked all the Autobots over, throwing debris everywhere. The Decepticons aren't holding back, they continue to push the Autobots back. One Autobot says that the Decepticons are "playing for keeps". This is Arcee's response.

    "Doesn't feel like their playing at all. How did it end up us six against the world, anyway?"

  • The remains of the team have their guns at the ready, about to shoot the roof supports right above them. Only Bumblebee knows the true reason why they've been fighting the Decepticons off here, and Arcee hopes that what they're doing, matters.

    "Just tell me one thing. What we're doing here, now, makes a difference, right?"

"Megatron was not always the viciously powerful and brutally direct leader of the Decepticons. He was once brothers-in-arms with Optimus and a student of Sentinel Prime, appointed to be Cybertron's Protector and commander of its Defense Force. But Megatron resented his comrade, knowing he was a Prime and therefore Sentinel's favored son. This anger allowed The Fallen to ensnare him and led to the revival of the Decepticons. He became obsessed with getting the Allspark and using it's great power for himself."

For Megatron's voice, I want something in the essence of Hugo Weaving's Megatron voice from Tf1-3. I don't expect anyone to do a perfect Hugo Weaving Megatron voice, but I need his voice to sound intimidating, powerful, and commanding. This is Megatron after all.   • Megatron makes his appearance while Bumblebee is about to be interrogated by Swindle, even the Decepticons are shocked by his sudden appearance. Megatron orders his Decepticons to leave, as he will be interrogating Bumblebee, personally.

    "You'll talk... or find your head on a spike!"

    "Go. Leave us."

  • After Bumblebee "insults" the mighty Decepticon leader, he rips Bumblebee's right arm off and throws him aside. He is getting impatient. He wants the Allspark, and he wants it now. He wants the location and is tired of dealing with these pathetic Autobots. But little does he know, he's about to get his anwser.

    "Now... talk or die. I've tarried here long enough. The Allspark beckons to me. Sooner or later I'll find it. It's just a matter of... time..."

  • After witnessing the Allspark being launched from Cybertron, and realizing Bumblebee had been stalling, he permanently damages the Autobot and throws him aside once more. He is frustrated, but still determined to retrieve the Allspark for himself. It doesn't fully matter to him, as it won't change anything. He will travel the universe for "his" great power. He will get what he wants, and he will rule.

    "It seems I must do this the hard way. And though it may take longer, the result will be the same. On the day I claim the Allspark as my own... all of Cybertron will fall... and the universe itself will tremble!"

Autobot Soldier #2

While having no set backstory, characterization, etc, I imagine him being a young soldier like Bumblebee. He was thrown into this conflict like everyone else, and isn't the most experienced. Just because he's young, doesn't mean he's spared from the wrath of the Decepticons.

These are all the lines he has. No preference for how he should sound, just go for it!

  • The Autobot Soldier is questioning why they're even defending this position. There's nothing left in Tyger Pax to defend... right?

    "Why even bother? Surely there's nothing left in Tyger Pax worth defending!"

  • The Autobot soldier sees the silhouette of a big Cybertronian jet behind the army of Decepticons, and instantly realizes who it is. The leader of the Decepticons himself, Megatron. But before he can even fully get the name out of his mouth, he is shot through the chest, killing him.

    "Oh... no! It's him... he's here!"

    "Mega-TRAAAAAGHH!"

While having no set backstory, characterization, etc, I imagine him being a more older sounding Autobot compared Autobot Soldier #2. He may be more experienced then him but is still no match for the brutality of the Decepticons.

  • After hearing Bumblebee telling them to take out the roof supports above them, he's confused by the order. Doing so would collapse the roof on top of them.

    "What?!"

  • While Bumblebee and Arcee wake up after they collapsed the roof with metal parts on their arms and legs, keeping them pinned to the wall, the Autobot Soldier is being interrogated by Swindle. Swindle is using his drill to drill into his chest, causing agonizing pain for the Autobot Soldier. Swindle then rips out his spark, killing him.

    "EYYAAAHG!"

    "NEGGGH!"

    "EEEAAHK!"

"Swindle is not a great fighter, and more, he's dumb as a post, but he makes up for it by taking great glee in blowing things (any "things") to pieces! That's worth something, right? Generally, he leaps and hops around the battlefield like a madman, blasting explosives out of his chest cannon like crazy and laughing uncontrollably. Havoc is given when he's around, as battling Swindle is like battling living dynamite! He's also an enthusiastic but unfortunately ineffectual interrogator."

Don't really have any preference for his voice. You can try something along the lines of FOC Swindle, or something completely different.   • Swindle is trying to get the location of the Allspark out of Autobot Soldier #3. While enjoying inflicting pain and agony on the poor Autobot, he needs the location of the Allspark to please their leader, Megatron.

    "The Allspark! Where is it? Tell us and your death will be mercifully swift. Defy us... and your agony will never end! Speak!"

  • Payload just told Swindle that they're wasting their time torturing this Autobot, as he knows nothing of the location of the Allspark. Swindle decides to end the Autobots life painfully, by ripping out his spark. He enjoys doing so.

    "Very well. At least this way... we get to hear how long and hard you scream!"

  • Swindle has told Bumblebee to tell them the location of the Allspark, or else he will share the same fate as Autobot Soldier #3. They know it's here somewhere.

    "Lord Megatron has sensed it nearby. The distraction at Simfur might fool lesser beings, but not he."

"Though his allies would want him to choose between smashing through Autobot warriors or impressing his superiors by delivering a heavy load of supplies in record-timing, Payload would prefer to do both because that option makes him the happiest. Other Decepticons would find his job boring and tedious compared to open fighting. Luckily, Payload not only understands how crucial his role is, he thoroughly enjoys it since it earns him praise for being a reliable soldier."

These are all his lines. I'd like Payload to sound something like the Combaticon Warrior from Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen The Game (https://youtu.be/4zu82QwlDHw), but feel free to experiment if you want to.

  • Swindle is torturing Autobot Soldier #3 to get the location of the Allspark, but he isn't getting anything from the Autobot. Payload suggests he would be of better use as an example to his Autobot comrades, if they don't give up the location of the Allspark.

    "We're wasting time. This one doesn't know anything. I think he would serve us better...as an example to the others!

  • Megatron has just showed up, and without the location of the Allspark, he is angry. He orders Swindle, Payload, and the other Decepticons to leave them, as they have much to discuss. Payload isn't sure about his leaders idea.

    "Lord Megatron, is that wise? It may not be safe for you to be alone with-"

  • Payload is surprised and relieved that their leader didn't kill him and Swindle as a result of being unable to get the location of the Allspark. He thanks his leader, even though his words of thanks mean nothing to the mighty Megatron.

    "He... let us live. Oh thank you, thank you..."
