The Frozen Heart
Project Overview
The Frozen Heart is an original project about a girl named Eira who discovers magical abilities related to ice due to this crystal heart on her chest. But unfortunately, she doesn't know anything about it and has been receiving dreams of blurry faces, of a distant planet that potentially could be her home. Now she is on the journey to find out where she came from and who she is.
This a non-profit project so this will be of completely No Pay, as I do not have the money for this. This project will be have sensitive topics of abuse and darker topics or scenes. Though nothing will be extremely explicit. There will also be minor cursing which you must be okay with. The characters have to be able to scream and yell which you must be able to do.

While I do hope for this to reach a stage where it can be animated, as that is my goal, I do plan to draw out visuals in animatic forms or comics. And potentially a visual novel in the future to get the characters out there and started. I plan to have more characters appear in this story but they are not majorly important right now as these ones are the ones I need most.

Eira is a 17-year-old girl who discovers that she has ice magic for the first time without having known about it her whole life. Now she's on the journey to discover more about it and to find out what exactly her purpose is.
She's a kind, forgiving person full of heart and sometimes has her own insecurities. Eira has a deep care for her best friend, Shade, and her friend group Genesis and Nivo but she realizes that she deserves better out in the world - even if it means having to leave them behind or go against them for it. She has an average tone of voice, cheerful, determined, and carries a lot of responsibility. She does have that Adora vibe from SPOP 2018. But you can envision her voice in any way that you can, she is 17 but her story will end with her being in her 20s.

"If I don't learn about my crystal heart, then what can I do? I need to figure this out for myself." Sound soft but yet determined.
"Our friendship started over you sharing sandwiches with me." Sound playful and content, laughing at the end.
"I didn't want to leave! I'm sorry, I hurt you, but please… Please understand that I did this for me, Shade… We can still be close, Kittycat…" Sound hurt and upset, fighting back tears with pleading in your voice.
Genesis is an 18-year-old non-binary character, they have known Eira, Shade, and their other friend Nivo for years now as they have grown up together all in the same complex. They are a skilled fighter but have their own fears and insecurities, pushing themselves to do the very best they can. Genesis has a secret that they keep to themselves and have never told anyone other than their closest friend, Nivo.
They have an androgynous type of voice, so anyone can voice them as they are non-binary. They have a serious type of voice, stern, and spoken well but they also have a sensitive side to themselves.

"I'm never going to leave you, Shade. I'm not Eira." Sound stern but caring.
"She left us, what difference does it make knowing why?" Sound cold and solemn, raising your voice.
"I want him to smile. And truthfully, this is the most I have seen him smile. If he's happy, then that's all I wish for." Sound content and soft-spoken.
Eden is a 16-year-old girl who first meets Eira and Shade in a forest after having lost a friendship bracelet that she made. She is an adopted princess who smells like, in Shade's words, "flowers and soap" and very clean. She is also a user of light magic. Eden isn't trusting at first but she can be playful, kind-hearted, and helpful, willing to go out of her way for someone in need.
She has an average voice but can also be slightly higher, but not too high. Eden is cheery, open to listen, and a true friend when you need someone there for you. She can also be quite stubborn.

"Eira, we're friends! There's nothing that you can do that would make us hate you. No matter what happens." Sound reassuring with a happy tone.
"That stinky cat can say whatever he wants, but he won't hurt you! Not on my watch!" Sound defensive and protective.
"I've always had a way with light magic, I just didn't try using it until a few years ago…" Sound calm and relaxed, as if admiring the sky.
Soraya is an 18-year-old girl who is blue-skinned and blue-haired, what could she be? Lizard? Elf? Who knows, that is up to debate and secret! She meets Eira and Shade after Eden brings them to their little hideout, she's serious and silent but she has a soft spot that nobody's ever cracked except for a few exceptional people.
She has an average tone of voice, mature, soothing, and serious. Soraya has the type of voice that definitely expresses her second leadership, and kindness. She's devoted to those that she cares for, even despite her own flaws and fears at the back of her mind.

"Was your kitten too much to handle? I apologize for making you wait, I had some company." Sound playful at first before shifting to seriousness.
"Eira, you are so much more than that. What Shade told you should hold no meaning. You know that." Sound reassuring, comforting and soft.
"You know nothing about me! You don't know my past, I do! What happened to me didn't make me out to be cold and cruel unlike it did to you!" Sound angered.
Zen is an 18-year-old boy who doesn't have a lot known about him but he's a helpful source towards Eira and the rest of her friends while in search of more information about her crystal. He's a playful person, a little flirtatious at most when it comes to it. But he's serious when needed, determined, and friendly, willing to hear someone out. He has an average tone of voice.

"The Heart of Magic, huh? You must be really important then. I was wondering when we'd see another one of you come around again." Sound calm and collected.
"Your eyes are almost as bright and blue as winter…" Sound enchanted, almost as if you were staring.
"Alright, fine. But I'm only doing this because none of you know what you're doing." Scoff, almost as if you just gave up and agreed in the end to do something.
Torun is an adult man in his early 30s, who is married to Cyllene and is the father of Shade and an unnamed sibling. He won't serve a big role but he appears in a few flashbacks and flashback centered episodes. Torun is a warrior and has always been fighting for the safety of his planet, as well as for his family. He has an adult male voice with a stern and serious voice with a soft side for his children and wife.
Feel free to play around with his voice as you wish and be creative with his voice.

"Our son was chosen for this purpose. I don't like it anymore than you but we have to follow suit with this." Sound solemn but yet serious.
"Make sure you keep fighting, son. I know you'll make this planet a better place for everyone in the future… With Genesis, Nivo… And Eira." Sound soft and caring, proud.
Cyllene is an adult woman in her late 20s, who is married to Torun and the mother of Shade and unnamed sibling. She isn't a major role but she appears in flashbacks and flashback centered episodes. She is a gentle soul who has a heart of fire, a skilled fighter, and is willing to do anything for her family. She's always ready to throw herself on the line for her husband and children.
She has a gentle and motherly voice, kind, and sweet. She holds a lot of devotion for her home planet and family.

"You're going to do great things… Even if I'm not there for most of them, I want you to know that I am always watching." Sound calm and gentle.

Korah is an adult woman in her late 20s, married to Gail and is the mother of Eira. She doesn't have a major role but she appears in flashbacks and flashback centered episodes along with dreams, visions. Korah is a fearless warrior, a skilled fighter, and stubborn. She wishes the best for her daughter and never wants Eira to be brought to harms way, wanting for her to make decisions on her own. She also loves her husband Gail very much. Korah has a gentle and motherly voice, soothing, and strong. But also filled with kindness and love.

"You have to go for a little while, Eira… Don't worry, your dad and I will come looking for you after all of this is over! I promise sweetie!" Sound reassuring, trying to hide your panic.
"Oh, Gail! You're home! How were magic lessons?" Sound content and happy.
Gail is an adult man in his late 20s, married to Korah and is the father of Eira. He isn't a major role but he does appear in flashbacks and flashback centered episodes, as well as dreams and visions. He is a warrior-fighter who does magic lessons and trainings, especially with his daughter, teaching her the basics of magic and so on, always wanting Eira to do her best. He's always caring for his wife and daughter, protecting them from any danger that could harm them. He has an average tone of voice.

"I'm don't think so. Eira isn't ready yet, at least wait a few more years until she can decide for herself." Sound stern and calm.
"They were pretty easy. Our daughter is growing a lot with her magic, Korah. She's doing to be amazing." Sound happy but a little exhausted.
We are looking for artists in general but if you're an artist who wishes to help out in concept designs, designs for future episodes where a clothing change happens, future designs as the characters get older, backgrounds, official art, please showcase your art and examples of all the styles you can do!

If you are an animator who is willing to help out with a non-profit project, that would be extremely helpful! You must be able to do backgrounds, scenery, and fluid movements (or animatic like-types if you can). I'm thinking something more Western Animated for The Frozen Heart, examples being She-Ra: Princesses of Power (2018) or Avatar: The Last Airbender or Legend of Korra. But we are also willing to look through an anime art style of animation as well.
