SpongeBob Rehydrated Project - Musical Pirates
Project Overview
"Musical Pirates," the opening song in The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, will be played by a virtual orchestra/men's choir! So if you have musical talent, as well as a love for SpongeBob, then this is the project for you! You will need a microphone (the higher the quality, the better), a way to watch/listen to a video while recording (conductor video to ensure correct timing), and a Discord account. Each part has 1 to 6 available slots, the specifics of which are in the characteristics section. Most pieces have more than one excerpt listed to audition with, so be sure to record yourself playing/singing all of them, and please state which selection you are performing at the beginning (excerpt 1, excerpt 2, etc.). There are also two alternate scores for the men’s choir and those with transposing instruments (trumpet, French horn, clarinet). Listening to your individual part (by double clicking it), as well as the entire score, before auditioning is HIGHLY recommended. Before you submit your recordings, please type your Discord name AND, more importantly, your four-digit Discord tag. PLEASE be sure you submit your recordings to the correct part (Tenor goes in Tenor, Trumpet goes in Trumpet, etc.). The auditions are closing on July 2nd, 2021, and we will announce the final results the following week, on July 9th.
