Due to some changes in the project's scheduling behind the scenes, I'm giving this project yet another extension! Have fun auditioning!

Project Overview
INTRODUCTION:
Hello, everyone; I'm back with yet another Casting Call for the Sonic IDW comic! But please hold your applause because there's more..some of these roles are PAID! The team is currently hard at work editing everything together for the Zeti Hunt arc (Which you may have seen the Call for a few months or so ago) and because of how well production is going on that, I've decided to commit to going as far as possible with this project! And that means casting everyone else!

THE STORY:
Sonic the Hedgehog and his friends live on a planet named Earth inhabited by anthropomorphic animals like themselves and humans, which is constantly under threat from the evil human scientist Dr. Eggman, who wants to take over with his army of Badniks and establish the Eggman Empire.

PAYMENT:
Payment will be distributed after I receive the actors' finalized lines. Payment is also subject to change between issues. Roles with "Deferred" will still be paid, the tag just means they're so far in the future it's hard to gauge payment now. Kit and Surge's payments will be for/split between their respective first outings. ("Imposter Syndrom issues 1-4" - Issue 56)
GUIDELINES:
Your audition must have good audio quality with little to no background noise. If it has noticeable background noise, it will not be considered and will be immediately dismissed.
Meeting deadlines is important, but communicate with me if you cannot meet said deadline! We can work things out as long as there is communication.
Communication is key! If I can't get in touch with you after long periods of time consistently, then I will be forced to let someone else take the role.
DON'T SLATE!
Knowledge of the comics isn't a requirement, but it does help! Especially for the original IDW characters!
Occasionally, I may ask if we can get into a call to do lines with some live directing. This will not happen for every single batch of lines, but expect it to happen occasionally, especially if you're part of the main cast.
Please provide at least 2 takes per character! Preferably in AABBCC format.
If you choose to add an effect to your audition, leave in the unedited takes as well.
Must have Zelle, or Paypal, as these will be what I use to distribute payment.
Some roles will already have been filled by me and other actors! If the character isn't on the list, please don't DM me and ask if they're available.
If you don't have Discord, that's completely ok, but it does make things easier if you do.

CHARACTER DESC:
Surge is a green tenrec who was brainwashed and turned into a cyborg by Dr. Starline. Surge possesses Sonic's indomitable and free spirit, albeit in a twisted and sinister way. She is a roguish speedster with an arrogant, cocky, and hot-tempered disposition, taking great pride in her prowess and bragging at any given opportunity.She is also fearless and bold, rarely showing any form of worry or concern, even in situations that are troublesome or possibly beyond her capabilities. When push comes to shove, however, she tends to give in to anger, causing her to become a more volatile force.
VOICE NOTES:
Surge was created not only to defeat Sonic but also to replace him in a way. I'd like her to have a voice that not only can portray her unstable personality and anger well, but also could, under different circumstances, actually sound like a stand-in for Sonic. Kind of like there's an optimistic freedom-loving spirit there, but it's been buried underneath loads of anger and trauma. I highly recommend watching the examples for this one. I cannot stress this enough, but Sarah Stiles' performance as Spinel is a great place to look for guidance here. With a little bit more constant rasp in her voice, she'd genuinely be the PERFECT Surge, in my opinion, so feel free to use her as a base if you were wondering what kind of voice I was thinking of! This doesn't mean that that's the only interpretation I'll accept though; if you have your own unique voice you'd like to try, by all means, go ahead!

Sure, they're part of this and they'll get theirs, but it really comes down to you. If you had just taken them out, I wouldn't have been made!

CHARACTER DESC:
Programmed to emulate Sonic's sidekick, Kit shares Tails' kindness and modesty, but with his positive traits turned on their head. He is defined by a soft-spoken, somber, withdrawn, and timid attitude, with very little in the way of individuality, as he is programmed to be subservient to Surge and satisfy her wants and needs. He speaks politely and formally, addressing others as "sir" or "ma'am". Nailing Kit's shy demeanor along with his outburst of anger will be very important, but aside from that, I am super open to interpretation when it comes to Kit's voice here!

CHARACTER DESC:
Rouge is a strong-minded female bat with a collected and convivial voice. Her appeal is very complex, but it is not too far off to describe her as an elusive, mysterious, and mature woman who is true to her desires. Rouge's voice is smooth, sultry, and dripping with charm, reflecting her manipulative nature and love of the finer things in life. Looking for a voice that can emulate Kathleen Delaney's performance in Sonic X!

Silver is a kind-hearted and well-meaning individual, driven by a strong sense of justice to right the wrongs of the past in order to uphold peace, though he can sometimes be naïve and immature. Despite the monumental tasks he may have on hand, he is an optimist and will do whatever is required to protect the world. CHARACTER DESC:
Blaze is the imperial ruler of the Sol Dimension. Devoted to her position, she sometimes gets herself bogged down by her own strict discipline, which makes her anti-social, shy, and unfamiliar with the concept of having friends. Blaze is quite stoic and often acts as a mentoring older sister to other characters. Despite her typically calm attitude she has been shown to enjoy going all out with her abilities and proving herself in combat. Feel free to emulate any previous actors or hit me with your own original take!

Wave is brimming with self-confidence and can be a bit of a trash-talker and highly critical of others' work with Extreme Gear, especially Tails. Regardless, Wave is level-headed and serves as the voice of reason in the Babylon Rogues. Feel free to emulate any previous actors or hit me with your own original take!

CHARACTER DESC:
Nite is a cheerful and slightly cheeky individual, who enjoys his job at the K-TBR 199.2 radio station. He is quite the optimist and has a strong will to help people however he can. However, he can get flustered easily when faced with difficult situations. He is also known to have a slight drawl when he speaks. Think a slightly higher Foghorn Leghorn when it comes to his voice!
