Short Horror Game: Harthorn (PC)
Project Overview
Hello! I'm putting together a small horror game, currently just titled "Harthorn"
It's a narrative driven game about a part-time security guard (Protagonist) and his charismatic radio dispatcher (April) and their conversations over the course of a week working at Harthorn High School. One of those nights there's a break-in, that turns out to be a break-out and they investigate what's been going on in the long condemned lower levels of the school.
Some of my published projects on Steam
Currently I'm working away on the design and code of the game, but am wanting to find Voice Actors for the Supporting Role and Antagonist so when the script is done I can integrate the lines into the game without delay.
Character themes: Bored conversation while at work, mischevious connection between Protagonist and April, Caution at unfolding events, panic as dark events begin to unfold at Harthorn.
Art direction: Silent Hill, Twin Peaks, Dear Esther

April is a bit older than the protagonist, very casual and a bit alternative, works as a Dispatcher for a Security company, spends a lot of time on the radio and is a bit bored of her work so she makes a lot of casual conversation
[Introducing yourself to the Protagonist after they ask if you are their Dispatcher] I’m April, but also yes I’m your Dispatcher, I’ll be checking in with you while you do your rounds, have you worked as a Security Guard before? (Friendly)
[Showing the Protagonist the blocked off basement of Harthorn School] There was a lot of different stories that went around Harthorn on why they condemned it, everything from the school hiding a string of murders that took place there by a disturbed former teacher to a pipe bursting causing water damage and black mold with no school funds leftover to fix it, the latter being the least exciting but probably most accurate one… (Storytelling)
[Leading the Protagonist by radio after learning of a break-in] Hmm, check it out but stay on the radio...if anything is out of the ordinary let me know right away and I’ll contact the Police, stay safe... (Cautious)
The antagonist is a former teacher that lost his job for being connected to a missing student in the town several years ago, broken by the event he lives in secret in the school working on grim "art" and plotting revenge on the staff involved in his removal. (Calm, Dangerous, Unstable)
[Confronting the Protagonist] A security guard? So it was you that changed the locks...We didn’t have strangers like you haunting my hallways when I taught here… (Calm but menacing)
[Small speech on why the stay hidden in the school] This place is sacred to me, it’s where I do my work...it’s where I stay close to my canvases (Calm but menacing)
[Yelling down halls, looking for Protagonist] Come out! Come out now! (Loud and crazed)
