In this project you will be voicing lines from the free webnovel series online, translated into English via a fantranslation. Beware of slight misspellings!
We will be going over and directing the project with the talent as the roles are cast, and if you have any questions at any times about the project, the content, or the series in general, the project leads will be free to go over that with you.
This project is going to be adapting a fandubbing/reading past the anime, so there will be spoilers for that so beware. This project is intensive in terms of it's amount of lines/scheduling, so be prepared to be working on this project a lot. You have to be willing to record on livestream as well.
This will be a project made by a Re:Zero youtuber, https://www.youtube.com/c/HollowGraphic/featured, in higher quality and with a lot of dedication and heart -- being a much higher quality version of his already made https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K9yRw8WAgzk&list=PLdk5w_DXRbogn6rfPnyKRoMrZPOghbb5J Arc 5 Live Reading series. This series -will- happen! And fast! So don't fret about that.
We will work with everyone about scheduling, but consider that multiple times out of your week you will have to be on a livestream for about two-three hours a session for a few months. This is a project that will surely be time-consuming! But I hope that it will be a fun and entertaining and engaging project that will give you something nice to do.
Also, there will be more roles to audition for in the future for minor roles, but please wait a while for me to write the audition profiles for each one!

Our casting is coming to a close, and wow are we happy and excited with the cast we got! However, we still need to finalize a casting on Anastasia Hoshin and the Narrator. Once we get both of those, the project will officially close out. Anastasia is playful and sly, and is an important one to get down! Try your utmost in order to capture her energy! As for narration, we're looking for someone who can effectively annunciate and breathe life and personality -- real weight -- into the lines they say. As well as someone who can read without hesitation, and has good stamina. It's a must, really!

Anastasia
The person who we thought was going to voice Anastasia is no longer able to, so now the role is free for you all to audition for! Have fun voicing this greedy gal! -
Casting is underway!
A lot of roles are already pretty much selected so far, and all that's left is a few key ones. We've been going over each and everyone of your auditions and we love hearing them. The ones we're looking heavily at and still feeling needs some time to get some solid ones are Emilia and Garf, so continue to audition for either of those because they're very important!
Voice Range -- Medium High
Is the main heroine of this series. She is a Half Elf and a candidate to become the 42nd King of Lugnica in the Royal Selection. She is a good natured young lady who is ditsy and slightly airheaded, but a solid heart and love and desire to be someone admirable. She has a lot of pressure on her shoulders, but she tries her best. Self conscious about her good nature, she thinks of her helping people as selfish. Throughout her life she has been chastised as a devil due to her race as a Half-Elf and her striking resemblance to the world's most feared character -- the evil witch Satella who nearly destroyed the world -- The Witch of Envy.
She has a tendency to use a lot of antiquated words that you would only hear out of an old person. Even Fortuna, who once lived with her in Elior Forest, wondered where she learned them from. On rare occasions, Emilia will let out her childish side when faced with something very unfamiliar to her because up until a few years ago she was unacquainted with the social norms of the outside world beyond the woods she used to live in alongside other elves. Despite this, she adapts quickly and still works hard to become a king.
The main character Subaru is her knight, and he is devoted whole-heartedly to her despite his own weaknesses and pain.
“I'm sure I'm going to do lots of things throughout the Royal Selection. I might face even more insults and spite than I did before. But I want to always say that I will never stop. To ask what's so wrong about being unlike someone else. To ask what's so scary about being unlike our neighbours.”
“Mm, that’s right. I’m also a candidate, so I’ll do my best.”
“I wonder what Songstress-san’s famous voice sounds like. I feel sooo anxious. I wonder if she’d perform for me if I gave her a request.”
Voice -- High to High Mid
(Her voice is very unique and is usually quite lacking expression for the most part until she gets flustered or excited. Check out the japanese voice in the anime for a good reference).

Beatrice is a kindhearted spirit girl, who is the main character Natsuki Subaru's contracted spirit. Beatrice generally looks down on others and is bad at dealing with people who try to get close to her. Despite being full of bravado, she's a lonely person, and is softhearted beyond her perceived stubbornness.
Being once assigned to take care of the forbidden library for four hundred years, she is seeing the world once more alongside Subaru, being extremely attached to him for helping her be able to find purpose once more, and as such is extremely fond of him. She is awkward around others, but she is generally a good person all around and will make friends... With a little bit of effort.
She also has two verbal tics, "in fact" and "I suppose". She also refers to herself as "Betty".
“Betty had gone to look for Emilia to kill time with, I suppose. On the way to her room, I ran into an employee, who I made a little bit of small talk with, in fact.”
“In the middle of the night, Betty heard something strange, I suppose. I didn’t want to wake up Subaru, who had a stupid expression on his face as he slept, so I quietly left our sleeping quarters alone to investigate, in fact.”
“The Mathers family isn't so devoid of visitors, I suppose. There have been many humans who visited Betty's Forbidden Archive. Many whose hands touched the Archive's door... and Betty's heart was betrayed every time, in fact.”
Voice Tone -- Medium High
Is the candidate for the throne of Lugunica who owns the Hoshin mercantile company. She cares for her compatriots, but is always thinking of the way to get herself ahead. A rather cheerful and amicable personality, it is very rare in which Anastasia is not having fun going about her business deals or making moves as the head of her company. She works hard, but without complaint, understanding the value of her workers and compatriots. She's also a very capable smooth talker.
Anastasia has a crafty personality, always putting herself first, even admitting herself that she was greedy, her greed stemming from the fact that she was an orphan. She speaks with a Kansai dialect. She likes it when people benefit when she benefits, though despite her faults, she is actually sympathetic and has a strong sense of duty
“As long as there’s life, there’s hope, but without a will to live, that hope diminishes. Just havin’ a breathin’ body isn’t enough. It’s the will to live that we can’t afford to lose.”
(Playful)
“As you’ve just witnessed, this embarrassing fiasco is happening, I hope you’ll excuse it… our lovely deputy captain, seemingly distracted by her first love, is having a hard time fighting her impulses.”"Ah, no no… I didn’t mean that in a bad way. I was just trying to say that the way you spoke was exquisite…… how you cast them into despair only to lift them up again, simply an impeccable use of rhetoric."

Is a merchant who is a business minded and mature man for his age. Wise and strongwilled, he has a steady heart and is always looking out to help someone in need.
He is generally on the receiving end of jokes, with some people such as Natsuki Subaru suggesting to use him as a shield, but despite this, he is loved by the others. He is also loyal to his friends.
His life has been filled with tormoil, but despite that he is always trying to make the most of his life, and is able to steadily make his way through the world -- usually with a smile on his face.
“However, Emilia-sama is not a perfect person. In fact, she has many issues. She does, and that would include the things which Emilia-sama herself cannot do anything about. Her lineage, her standing, and many other fetters come attached to Emilia-sama.”
“Right right, I hear your sour grumblings of defeat. Now, sit down over there for a moment. Let's give ourselves a rest and use the break to think. I'll go fetch us some water.”
“Giving up, thinking that no one can understand you, perplexed and troubled... it's all something that I should know better than anyone else.”
(HE HAS A UNIQUE ACCENT AND A GRUFF VOICE BUT ALSO IS LIKE 14 SO KEEP THAT IN MIND WHEN READING, IT DOESN'T NECESSARILY HAVE TO BE SCOTTISH)
He was initially hostile to Subaru, as he wanted to protect the people in the Sanctuary since he believed the outside world to be a terrible place. However, with Subaru and Ram's help, he was able to face his past and overcome it.
At this point he even calls Subaru his "boss". An impressionable younger teen, he is very energetic and aggressive but also at the same time just very passionate and loving too. He has a deep connection his family, and a lot of issues surrounding it, but despite that he's loyal. Freeing himself from a lot of the hate and wrath within him, and using that energy to become a strong shield to support Emilia's bid to the throne.
“Sorry ‘bout yer invitation, but a few ‘f my companions’re waitin’ for me. They’ll be worried if we’re late, so we should be headin’ out soon.”
(Angry)
“I ain't got any urge t'chase after the guys who ran off durin' him buyin' time at the moment. But I ain't got any thought t'overlook what yer bastards're doin' here either. You get away from there, n' don't get any closer. No one's goin' in the tomb any more. My amazin' hands 're tearin' the thing down.”(Emotional)
“Why! Why’d ya forget me!? Seein’ ya after all this time! Even callin’ you mom!”

Crusch is the Matriarch of House Karsten and a candidate to become the 42nd King of Lugnica.
With a deep connection to her retainer, Felix, Crusch was vying from the throne with a very regal and responsible attitude. Wise beyond her years, and skilled in battle, Crusch is a natural leader who demands respect from her very presence. Not arrogant like most royals, her heart and compassion is something that is unwavering.
That is to say, until an insidious creature -- a Sin Archbishop -- erased her memories. Still struggling to regain the confidence and sense of experience that she once held, she is starting to slowly regain her attachments and boldness she once held.
“Then, to confirm again. We are moving to the battlefield identified by Garfiel-sama, where two demons are guarding the City Hall. One is a giant with two broadswords, and the other is a woman with a slender longsword, is that right?”
“Although I’m not as strong as I was before, I’ve had Wilhelm as a teacher. In addition, I can use the Wind to augment my strikes. I don’t intend to be a burden.”
“It’s the obligation of the nobility to bear burden of and shed blood for the people. If innocent people weep, then I will shield them under my wing. I will fight, Wilhelm.”

Felt came from a rough upbringing, but ever since the world's greatest swordsman, Reinhard Van Astrea saw her, she has since been vying as a royal candidate to the throne of Lugunica.
Felt is short tempered, hot headed, and rather unladylike. Reinhard has commented about this trait several times with Felt often not caring. She is also very childish about a lot of things. Although this childish nature goes away when faced with a dangerous situation. Felt is a stickler when it comes to money due to living in the slums and she hates losing.
After spending a year living a completely different life from what she was used to, Felt started viewing the world in a different light, not being scared of changes anymore as she realised that change is a natural course of action; one she is unable to avoid. As a result, Felt developed a strong preference for the theory of the "Survival of the Fittest", where the one who could adapt to their situation and discern the best manner of survival would survive and strive over those who could not. Consequentially to this mentality, Felt believes she's what she is today due to the belief she adopted, opting her to accept every decision she made thus far as something natural.
(Teasing)
“Anyway, is that what happened? This merciless knight here doesn’t know how to be nice to opponents and the like. Sorry about that, brother.”(Frustrated)
“What is it, are you complaining? I was taking a bath with others, and everyone changed into this, so I did too. ‘It’s embarrassing, it’s disappointing’, is that what you want to tell me?”“Everyone has the right to fight for the things important to them. Nobody can stop the feeling of someone who wants to do something for those things, even if it is not backed by a great reason, can they?”

Priscilla is haughty, selfish, and overall a domineering force. A candidate for the throne of Lugunica alongside many others, what sets her apart is her unwavering belief in herself alone. Everything in the world is hers, it just doesn't know it yet. She pokes jabs at everyone and has a hard time making friends, what with how often she demeans everyone she meets. If it's not verbal abuse, it's physical with Priscilla. Rich and pampered.
Priscilla is a strong woman though. Her confidence is not entirely unfounded. And if you are one of the people Priscilla deems worthy of praise, she holds you in amazing regard.
"Thus upon having listened to that, I have declared that I will go. They are indeed a disgusting opponent with cowardly methods, so it’s appropriate for me to cut them down. "
“A deliberately demeaning speculation, is malicious to the extreme, a crime of ludicrosity reaching this extent cannot be redeemed with even ten thousand deaths. The manner of your death, is best fitting as a scorching heat that burns and burns yet never dies out.”
“Don’t talk to me with that affectation, mine ears are decaying. I am more than capable of keeping up with a quick-thinking fox.”
Medium -- Male
(WARNING THIS ROLE IS GOING TO BE VERY DIFFICULT AS HE RANTS SO OFTEN)
--------------------------------------
Regulus is one of the rather insane members of the Witch's cult, representing the Seven Deadly Sin "Greed". A boy who cared quite a bit about his possessions and the things close to him to an obsessive degree. He would always justify himself and always made things clear of his intentions no matter what he did, no matter how trivial or minor. His overwhelming strength and near invincibility made it impossible to deny his "rights".
Regulus is talkative, and tended to describe himself as "unselfish" despite representing greed. He would often go on and on about trivial matters in the most incoherent ways, usually leaving the other party confused and/or unable to follow his thoughts, ideals and values. Due to his extremely prideful personality however, he often forced his own selfishness on others and tried to justify it.
He would take things even like other people, having dozens upon dozens of wives as almost trophies, rather than understanding what love actually means.
“Although it’s gratifying to see nothing wrong, it seems regrettable that I can’t reveal my heroism to my bride today. I think that a heroic rescue in the midst of a dead end crisis brings two people people’s hearts to a very important place. Well, after all, the combination of the two is already an established fact and the only question is of the timing. Isn’t it great?”
(Angry)
“Why would I have to answer the question? It’s nonsensical and not obliged of me. A matter of disclosing my own secrets, isn’t even about rights anymore. To what extent are you planning to look down on me. You fucker, are you incapable of understanding without having your bones ground to dust!?”
“A Sword Saint who can’t even draw his sword, why should I even bother with you? Know your place, scum. In the first place, I’m not even on the same level as you; you, who struggle with your ugliness and unfettered excuses, can’t even be compared to one who has already achieved perfection. A fool who can’t assure his self-worth without comparing himself to others has no right to face my divine self.”
Voice Tone -- High and Grating/Annoying/Scratchy
----------------------------------------------
The Sin Archbishop of Lust in the Witch's Cult. A rather energetic individual who loves to manipulate and show everyone the shallowness of her perception of their love. Playing with them and trying to wrap everyone around her finger with cruelty.
Capella is considered to be the worst personality wise within the Sin Archbishops. She speaks in a way that sounds like she spat and trampled upon courtesy, complete with a child like cruelty. She claims that all the love and respect in the world exists to be monopolized by her, changing her and others' appearances so that everyone would come to love her, making her a monster that plays with the dignity and values of people, all the while spitting her brand of ridicule. As other Witch Cultist, she is shown to not think highly of her fellow Sin Archbishops, referring to them with degrading nicknames when not using their names.
(Taunting but excited)
“Hello, all you meat creatures! No matter how many times you’ve heard it, doesn’t my beauty and my lovely voice excite you? Gahahahaha!”“Wait, wait, you idiots can’t understand the real meaning of my precious words. Poor incompetent fools, only thinking about slabs of meat in their free time. My gentle, loving self will make this easier to understand. I’ll tell you with my spit which you masochists love.”
“How ridiculous. Something like valuing another over yourself, how about you sto~p audaciously saying sweet nothings."
Is a rather simply spoken young man, who holds within him the power of a god. The knight to the candidate Felt, a young woman who comes from the streets. He is a gentle spirit always looking to find an amicable way to solve things that does not involve violence. He is understanding, but holds within him a great inner turmoil. His family is in tatters, and is quite estranged despite all of them being alive. He respects his friends and sees greatness in everyone else, almost as if belittling his own amazing strength and heart.
Reinhard is a respected and kind gentleman with others. He is fair, clean, brave, and willing to fight next to justice even when he is not in his hour of work. He is known as a "knight among knights", and is widely trusted among the people of Lugnica. He only uses his sword when necessary, since, in addition to being a rule, he does not intend to hurt an ordinary person.
“—That really is distressing to hear. It is true that, because of me, some have lost sight of their happiness. Without question, the reason why I do what I do is none other than for the sake of atonement.”
“I am but a knight to the King Candidate Felt-sama. Please also be sure to give her all your support.”
“Dealing with you really is unbearable— doubly so when you slander my friends.”
Voice Tone -- Low Middle
----------------------------------------
The knight of the candidate to the throne, Priscilla Barielle. A man who seems to have come from Earth just like the main character, he seems to go with the flow rather simply, and is a very relaxed individual in terms of his own pride.
Al has a frivolous and goofy personality, and having spent more than ten years in a different world, he was easily able to get along with Subaru. Despite being Priscilla's knight, he doesn't really recognize himself as one, seeing himself as her caretaker, while Priscilla herself sees him as a handyman and a jester to entertain her. He has no qualms about their relationship. He also brags that the only way he can fight is by outwitting people and catching them by surprise.
“C’mon, don’t be mad, bro. I think your positive attitude is great. It’s just not one that’d ever be meant for me. It’s just that kind of circumstance, y’know?”
“Don’t misunderstand. I neither like you nor dislike you, either way is fine… Sorry, that’s a lie. As expected, you’re disgusting so I really don’t like you.”
“If they were serious about their demands, you’d think they’d have been more precise and detailed. However, I’m sure you’d agree, bro… that they’re not seriously intending to insist upon their demands. If we follow through, great. If we don’t, whatever; it’s that kind of feeling.”
(Also there will be quite a few times in which this character will probably be fighting or letting out exertion noises, so keep that in mind.)
A generally happy go lucky mercenary who shares a close bond with those in his company. He's a veteran of sorts, and has seen lots of battle, but takes delight in combat -- especially boosting the morale of those around him with his own excitement. He works best when working with someone else, always willing to play on a deep sense of comradery. He and his company the Fang of Iron are all under the candidate to the throne Anastasia, and as such are loyal to her.
Ricardo is usually laid back and outgoing, and he talks in a loud voice which sounds like a heavy wind blowing by. As the captain of the Fang of Iron, he usually calms his teammates down right before battling, such as making jokes to make others laugh.
Not only that Ricardo is the strongest member of the Fang of Iron, but he's also the greatest tactician. He carefully thinks before he plans out for an attack. However, he tends to be rash as he has a habit of heading straight into battle; he'd usually listens to Hetaro's orders during battle.
(Warm/Supporting)
“The White Whale, and Sloth. Both times, I saw your efforts for myself, bro. You’d be wrong if you think only Wilhelm sees your value. I also see someone worthy of praise.”
(Taken Aback, Confused, Slightly Betrayed)
Still that's really mean, Miss! How long have we known each other? Why'd ya' keep somethin' like that from me? I'm kinda' hurt! Is that all we are to eachother?!
(Impressed)
“Now that’s quite the brutal brat. Even so, I’ll play the role I’m supposed to, so ya can depend on me. I’ll also take my son-in-law’s consultation.”
Is one of many of the "wives" that Regulus Corneas has kidnapped and is using to play little fantasy games about his idea of what wives should do. She seems to be almost the leader of them, and is very responsible and wise. She looks out for everyone else that Regulus has kidnapped, and tries her hardest to look out for all of them. A noble and selfless young woman, who is well aware of all the things she needs to do in order to not attract her kidnappers ire.
"……Husband-sama does not desire it. I will also leave this advice with you: Husband-sama likes your usual look. It is wiser not to laugh, rage, or change your expression. If possible, even not opening your mouth would be better, I think."
(Musing to Emilia)
"…..No, I was merely thinking that you were beautiful. Your narrow hands and feet, white skin, and long silver hair, especially."(Trying to calm Regulus)
" No, I believe in it. If Husband-sama is there, then we have nothing to worry about. I was merely hoping for Husband-sama’s words to wash away my anxiousness, that’s all. Please kindly forgive a lacking wife, who failed to rely on you. "
(High/Medium High)
The Sin Archbishops of Gluttony from the Witch's Cult. There power relies on memory, so the three of them seem to share information with one another. They all share a feverish hunger, and act in a crazed manner. Speaking rapidly, repeating themselves or restating themselves quickly, or even sometimes hallucinating memories that is not necessarily theirs. Ley is much more intellectual and calm than his brother, more picky. Roy is completely unhinged and feral, almost, but still obviously enjoys heavily his meals. Each of them are highly skilled in combat and magic.
Ley:
Lye believed that everything came down to experiences, and the one who manages to get better knowledge is the one who enriches his life and wins over people, also remarking that knowledge is power and memories are bonds, ultimately concluding that this means that he was the greatest. Due to that, he also referred to himself as intellectual Sin Archbishop.
Unlike Roy, Lye also strongly believed that if the number of lives in the world is limited, then the amount of worthy food is limited, and would hence not miss a single chance of eating them.
Roy:
Unlike Lye, Roy doesn't care about what he eats, nor does he place any special emphasis on who he eats with like Louis. As bizarre eating, his approach towards his meals is much more casual, emphasizing quantity over quality as seen when he ate Julius despite admitting he had a bland taste. As described by his brother, he simply wants to eat without any thought or preparation put into it, for which he was repeatedly criticized by his siblings. He isn't as close to Louis as Lye is, but is nonetheless devoted and caring towards her. He speaks in a collective manner using us and we instead of first or third person.
(Excited/Feverish/Crazed)
“How nice how nice, this has become fun ~tsu! That nii-sama is! That Ricardo-san is! They both are fighting this great battle and we are their opponent! Even though us, with our weak bodies, absolutely can’t do it, can’t reach it, can’t see it, can’t understand it, should have already had given up in this position ~tsu! A~h! To make it so fun, ho~w unfair unfair unfair ~tsu!”“Amazingamazing ~tsu! It’s been a while since we have seen someone endure that. So long that there is not a trace of it in either ours or our memory. How nice, quite nice, pretty nice, maybe it is nice, isn’t it nice, possibly it is nice, perhaps it is nice, probably it is nice, because it is probably nice ~tsu!”
“We admired you, nii-sama. Nii-sama, who hates to show his hard work to others, would use such devilish skills in desperation, how would we not know that ~tsu.”
(The "~tsu" thing... I guess I see it as sort of like a small musing sound, you don't necessarily have to like say it as if it's a separate word more than just a verbal tic or something. I'm not sure. Try it with and without if you want. It's a bit weird to understand it that much in English.)
We need a narrator who can speak clearly with proper and steady enunciation. As for the pitch of the voice, it doesn't necessarily matter. You just need to have smooth legible audio quality and be able to read the lines concurrently and with minimal flubbing. You will also have to read quite a bit, so keep that in mind. Having good acknowledgement of the emotion and weight behind each lines is also helpful. Understanding of that will go a long way.
Character and title names are things you should also consider learning the correct pronunciation for. If you need some briefing on that and otherwise are good, just PM me, it probably just comes with how well versed you are in Re:Zero as a whole.
Please pull up any lines you wish from Re:Zero web novel and give it a go. If you don't know where to start, you can also just use the two passages below for ease.
Those fanatics — although he had yet to know whether or not that phrase should be plural, at least the Archbishop of Wrath was present. He had no clue as to whether or not she was working with any other cultists.
However, in a city where the Witch Cult was active, the notion of leaving Emilia alone with no one to protect her left lingering anxiety in Subaru.
Leaving someone important in a place beyond his reach was far too dangerous.
Someone beyond sight, the Witch Cult’s devilish hands would reach or those important people will reach out to the key terrorist.
Deep in his heart, turbid fear plagued Subaru.
And, taking Emilia to Wrath? That was out of the question. Having Emilia encounter the Witch Cult would undoubtedly lead to tragedy. Only that was certain.
Just recalling Petelgeuse made that clear. Subaru couldn’t let Emilia near the Witch Cult. That wasn’t a matter of why.
His heartbeat began to accelerate, his chest thudding as he ascended the steps. Fortunately, the stairs were stone. With care, he could silence his steps, especially since the enemy’s attention should be focused elsewhere.
Subaru prepared to call for Beatrice at a moment’s notice as he slowly climbed the stairs. The tension escalated as the sound coming from above grew louder and closer.
Although the tower itself is high enough that Subaru needed to crane his head to see the top, there wasn’t anything particularly notable on the journey up. A large pillar sat in the center of the tower, and the spiral staircase encircled it.
The voice of a demon and hero came from the end of those stairs. Only one single window faced the outside of the tower, presumably to give people access to adjust and check the engraved carvings on the magical stones. The sound came from the space before that window.
