Re:Zero (Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World) Novel Fandub/Reading -- Arc 5
JoeProKill for Ley Batenkaitos/Roy Alphard
(High/Medium High)
The Sin Archbishops of Gluttony from the Witch's Cult. There power relies on memory, so the three of them seem to share information with one another. They all share a feverish hunger, and act in a crazed manner. Speaking rapidly, repeating themselves or restating themselves quickly, or even sometimes hallucinating memories that is not necessarily theirs. Ley is much more intellectual and calm than his brother, more picky. Roy is completely unhinged and feral, almost, but still obviously enjoys heavily his meals. Each of them are highly skilled in combat and magic.
Ley:
Lye believed that everything came down to experiences, and the one who manages to get better knowledge is the one who enriches his life and wins over people, also remarking that knowledge is power and memories are bonds, ultimately concluding that this means that he was the greatest. Due to that, he also referred to himself as intellectual Sin Archbishop.
Unlike Roy, Lye also strongly believed that if the number of lives in the world is limited, then the amount of worthy food is limited, and would hence not miss a single chance of eating them.
Roy:
Unlike Lye, Roy doesn't care about what he eats, nor does he place any special emphasis on who he eats with like Louis. As bizarre eating, his approach towards his meals is much more casual, emphasizing quantity over quality as seen when he ate Julius despite admitting he had a bland taste. As described by his brother, he simply wants to eat without any thought or preparation put into it, for which he was repeatedly criticized by his siblings. He isn't as close to Louis as Lye is, but is nonetheless devoted and caring towards her. He speaks in a collective manner using us and we instead of first or third person.

“How nice how nice, this has become fun ~tsu! That nii-sama is! That Ricardo-san is! They both are fighting this great battle and we are their opponent! Even though us, with our weak bodies, absolutely can’t do it, can’t reach it, can’t see it, can’t understand it, should have already had given up in this position ~tsu! A~h! To make it so fun, ho~w unfair unfair unfair ~tsu!”“Amazingamazing ~tsu! It’s been a while since we have seen someone endure that. So long that there is not a trace of it in either ours or our memory. How nice, quite nice, pretty nice, maybe it is nice, isn’t it nice, possibly it is nice, perhaps it is nice, probably it is nice, because it is probably nice ~tsu!”
“We admired you, nii-sama. Nii-sama, who hates to show his hard work to others, would use such devilish skills in desperation, how would we not know that ~tsu.”
(The "~tsu" thing... I guess I see it as sort of like a small musing sound, you don't necessarily have to like say it as if it's a separate word more than just a verbal tic or something. I'm not sure. Try it with and without if you want. It's a bit weird to understand it that much in English.)
I'm up for critiques on how I could change it to improve it.
If I had to give you one, I think you should slow down on certain parts and then speed back up when he rants. Also, maybe extend certain words more to make it sound more psychotic like he does in the anime (not the dub but I don't like his dub's voice, it doesn't do him justice)
Thank you for the feedback! I could definitely do that, I just wasn't sure exactly what tone I wanted to give him. I'll practice with your advice :>
I think your tone fits them perfectly! I really like it.
