Project Overview
18+ This show is Mature in nature. Mostly language and mature themes.
Pluck Yew is a show that is about young teens growing up and dealing with making friends, how to handle bullies, first loves, first breakups, homework and acne all with a more mature and adult kind of humor. It centers around a 13 year old kid, named Lewis, who moves to a new school and is trying to make new friends but also trying to avoid any unnecessary attention (as teens do). And though Lewis does have an active imagination, he finds himself acquiring a new acquaintance who calls himself Terry, the Locker Fairy. A locker fairy's job is to help kids survive the teen years successfully and get them ready for whatever comes next. However Terry is a bad Locker Fairy and causes more trouble than good. Lewis meets his first middle school bully, his first failed "date", and sees his older sister macking on some random guy! And this is just his first day (spoilers?)!
Apart from school related problems, Pluck Yew also touches on some very personal and emotional problems that some young teens unfortunately have to go through. Like moving to a new town, losing friends, a parent passing away and the other parent remarrying. These are subjects that even adults have problems handling. So how could a kid deal with them?
This show is written as an animated comedy. As such we need people to.. uh.. animate it. But before we can do that we need someone to help us out as a Concept Artist. Unfortunately, as this is a passion project I cannot offer a lot of money at first. The Concept artist will also be credited before and after every episode.
The show is still in the writing phase and will be for another month or so. But I hope to have the pilot launched in about 6 months or so.

The style we are Looking for would be kind of reminiscent of Steven Universe, My life as a Teenage Robot, Star vs the Forces of Evil, Big Mouth, Futurama, Gravity falls, Etc. Basically, we're looking for American 2D animation style. WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR JAPANESE STYLE ART. There are other projects out there that might, we aren't one of them. Share a link(s) to some work you have done! Particularly a character you've drawn in your art style. Maybe a background or scene as well. We are looking for creativity. If you happen to know how to animate, let us know and share some links to that! (You do not have to know how to animate to get this position. If there is someone that can do both, we might just hire them to do one while hiring someone else to do the other. Spreading the workload)
