Oliver and Company 2
Project Overview
Oliver and Company 2 is a non profit, fan made sequel to the 1988 Disney animated musical that is meant to closely resemble an early 2000's direct to dvd movie. It has been in development for 6 years and is now moving ahead into full production. At this point the movie has a few storyboarders, a mostly complete main voice cast who are recording their lines as well as a song writer and composer working on the original music for the film (both songs and score).
The goal is to release the movie somewhere between 2023-2025. Our aim right now is to have a rough animatic of the whole movie complete by the end of this year so we can move onto animation and backgrounds in 2021.
We are currently looking for voices for minor characters and extras as well as some people to do cat and dog sounds.

A few new roles were added to the casting call. We're looking for a Black actress to play Rita as well as actors to play Roscoe and DeSoto. The roles for both cat sounds for Oliver and dog sounds have also yet to be cast.
There are still quite a few pages of the script that we need someone to storyboard. Prices are slightly negotiable but that will depend on how many pages you want to do.
I would prefer artists who are familiar with the original and can draw both the animal and human characters from the original movie.
Say something you think would fit
There are still 5 important characters in the movie lacking set designs. We are just looking for someone who can give us some rough designs for the boarders to use so there will be some consistency between them.
The payment amount is negotiable but i'm afraid I can't go too much higher than what I have stated.
It is preferable they be able to draw in a similar style to the original Oliver and company for both dogs and human characters.

Originally voiced by Richard Mulligan, Einstein is an old, large, dim-witted Great Dane who lives in Manhattan. He is incredibly kind and loyal despite his lack of intelligence. Einstein will be part of 2 of the movie's musical numbers (however, as these are still being written we don't know how many lines he will have in these) so you must be comfortable with singing for the role.
We are looking an imitation that is as close to the original performance as possible. Here's a clip for reference (Einstein comes in at 1:30) https://youtu.be/vwTy_iCmGmA
"Look what I got"
"You sure this place is big enough?"
"Why don't you pick on someone your own size?"
Yeah, this is a weird one. As with every animated thing all the sounds for the animals were done by Frank Welker in the original and I feel it's important we try and get something similar (since stock sound effects wouldn't sound like the characters). So we are looking for people who can give us realistic cat and dog sound effects that will match the characters.
For this is would be helpful if you looked at the opening scene from the original and tried to replicate the sounds Oliver makes (specifically look at 2:25-2:40) https://youtu.be/tB8D27CsUns
Variety of kitten sounds (and a few dog ones as Oliver does try and bark on occasion).
Extra with three lines in the movie. A violent and intimidating dog. Needs a gruff and sinister voice.
(Sinister and chilling) Well, now. And just what do we have here?
Extra with 4 lines in the movie. A rough street dog. Needs a threatening but still quite laid back and casual voice.
(Menacing) Hey, where ya' going? We only wanna talk.
Extra with 2 lines in the movie. The joke with the character is how he is unable to see anything since his hair covers his eyes but is still incredibly enthusiastic. There does still need to be a rough edge to the voice though.
(Quick and excited) What? Where?
An extra who has 3 lines in the movie. A dog from high society. She needs to sound incredibly stuck up and rude.
(Quick, dismissive) Not interested, lowlife!
An extra who has 4 lines in the movie. A rich young woman who is full of energy to a point where it's a little unsettling.
(Energetic, loud) Oh honey, just look at him. Isn't he the most precious thing you ever saw?"
An extra who has 3 lines in the movie. He's an uptight, wealthy business man who comes off as cold and emotionally distant.
(Reserved) I guess he is kinda cute.
Originally voiced by Taurean Blaque, Roscoe is a large, violent Doberman who lives in Manhattan. He is a smooth talking, mobster like goon who comes across as charming and level headed. Roscoe only has three lines in the movie and appears during a dream sequence.
It is important we get a good imitation of the original actor. Here is a clip for reference (the audition line is at 2:07) : https://youtu.be/D-AUX1uzApU
We ain't finished, Dodger. You guys are gonna pay for this, starting with that cat
Originally voiced by Carl Weintraub, DeSoto is a large, slender, cruel Doberman who lives in Manhattan. He is thuggish mobster goon who comes across as impulsive and short tempered. DeSoto only has 5 lines in the movie and appears during a dream sequence.
It is important we get a good imitation of the original actor. Here's a clip for reference (the audition line is at 1:29) : https://youtu.be/D-AUX1uzApU
Hey, hey. Roscoe. Look what I found.

For this it would be extremely helpful if you would be able to watch the movie and try and recreate the dog sound effects. In particular we need someone who can do barks/growls/whimpers for Dodger, Francis and Einstein (as well as a few of the new characters in the movie).
Do a few sounds for Dodger (he’s a Jack Russel Terrier so his barks are a little higher than his speaking voice).
Do a few sounds for Francis (he’s an English Bulldog and his barks are very deep and loud with a bit of vibrato to them).
Do a few sounds for Einstein (he’s an old, clumsy Great Dane so his barks are a little slower than the other characters).
Originally voiced by Sheryl Lee Ralph (and Ruth Pointer for her singing voice), Rita is a kind and tough Saluki who lives in Manhattan. She's the most level headed one of the gang and often has to be the lone voice of reason who keeps them all in check. Of all the characters she's the most emotionally mature and can quickly pick up on other's feelings. This role requires a decent amount of singing. It's important this role is continued to be played by a Black Actress.
We're looking for as close an imitation as possible. Here's a clip which contains both the audition lines (at 1:39 and 2:31) : https://youtu.be/JsiAPOTS_b4
And here's Streets of Gold : https://youtu.be/F9YyNtH5BF8
Excuse me, uh, sister, who's Rex?
Look at him, Dodger. Honey, let's just forget the whole thing
Sing a few bars from Streets of Gold.
