Majesty: The Fantasy Kingdom Redub
Project Overview
Majesty: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim was a real-time strategy video game developed by Cyberlore Studios and published by Hasbro Interactive in March 2000, with the Northern Expansion coming the next year. Yes, it is 18 years old.
Majesty is one of my favorite games from my childhood, along with Quake 3 Arena and Kingdom Hearts, however the difference between these games is that Majesty's voice acting is hilariously hokey. The game has aged pretty well, and it's graphics are still pretty decent, but the voices...my god they haven't aged well. They're only a bit better than Resident Evil's.
And so, I've decided to redub it, using the supplied sound editor and casting from CCC.

Lord Ven Fairweather, the players advisor, is the character with the most lines in the game. From telling you your treasury is nearly empty, to declaring victory, to even introducing quests with a ton of lore, he is the voice of Majesty.
Voice type: Medium Low.
Line 1: Happy
Line 2: Announcing
Line 3: Frazzled and a bit frightened.
Majesty! The local blacksmith offers new services!
Your Majesty, a new building is complete!
Mighty leader! Forgive this intrusion, but a terrible presence has visited our castle! A demon! He said that he was here to collect a debt owed to him by your mother!
Followers of Lunord, the God of Wind, Adepts are the fastest mages in the land. They run around the world, embracing the winds as they go.
Temples of Lunord allow the player to use the spells Winged Feet, which allows units to move faster, and Wind Storm, which blows enemies back.
Voice Type: High. The voice should be similar to Peter Pan. Thus, I will accept any gender for this role.
Line 1: Excited (Hitting Level 10)
Line 2: Dying
Line 3: Casting a spell
I can out run the winds!
Wind...has failed me.
Lunar Yattis!
Barbarians, who live in Temples to Krolm, are big, burly men who use clubs and axes to destroy their opponents.
Their temples don't give any spells, as the Barbarians are not mages, but they allow the player to use the Rage of Krolm, super charging all of their heroes.
Voice Type: Low and gravelly. It should sound like a caveman.
Line 1: Excited and ready to fight.
Line 2: Happy (Leveling up)
Line 3: Angry (Fleeing a battle)
Here comes trouble!
Krolm makes me stronger!
I'll be back!
City Guards, who's job it is to protect the peasants of the realm.
Voice Type: Medium-Low. Think the guards from Oblivion
Lines 1 and 2: Shouting
Halt!
Stop right there!
Quick and slightly crazy, the Cultists of Fervis are an eccentric bunch. They live off the land and don't rely on the crown, but they still pay taxes...for some reason.
Their temples allow the player to cast Healing, Illusionary Hero, which creates a fake hero for diversions, and Vines, which ensnare enemies.
Voice Type: Medium high pitched. They're a degree of comedy relief, so lean into it. Just don't be too hammy.
Line 1: Distracted and happy (Leveling up)
Line 2: Concerned (Fleeing)
Line 3: Happy (Picking up an artifact)
Ooooh, pretty star!
Ruuun, run run run run!!
I always wanted one of these! ...I think...
Dirgo the Blind Cyclops may be a big, lumbering idiot, but don't underestimate him, he's still a great danger to you and your kingdom.
Voice Type: Very Low, pretty dopey.
Line 1: Anticipatory, leading up to an attack
Line 2: Confused
Don't move!
Where am I...?
Dwarves are illustrious builders, who, despite their small stature, are able to carry heavy items better than their human brethren.
Dwarves are able to help construct new buildings, and their settlements come built with ballistas, and allows the player to build other ballistas, independent from the settlement.
Voice Type: Medium-low. Whether you want to go for a Tolkien-esque voice, or try to sound like Torbjorn from Overwatch, I don't really care. Just something dwarven.
Line 1: Frustrated (starting a battle)
Line 2: Frightened, but also with bravado (fleeing from battle)
Line 3: Contemplating (making a decision)
Not now!! I have work to do!
If I had my good hammer, y-you'd be sorry!
To build...or to bash?
A leisurely bunch, Elves main purpose is exploration and a touch of combat. Wherever they go, vice seems to follow.
When Elves have a full guild, Elven Lounges begin to appear. Lounges will entice heroes and villagers to go and spend money, but you cannot get taxes from the building, causing a loss in revenue.
Voice Type: High or Medium-high. The original voice is very androgynous, so this is open to anyone. All the lines should be read with a degree of smugness.
Line 1: Smug and amused
Line 2: Nonplussed
Line 3: Weakly (dying)
This'll be a quick bit of gold.
Victory is not in the cards.
No fun, at all.
The lovable little grunts of Ardenia, they're not gnoblins, they're gnomes! Weak, but fast, these little ones can help construct new buildings!
As you recruit more gnomes, they will build more gnome hovels for free, allowing you to recruit even more gnomes.
Voice Type: High, with a lot of innocence to it. You can either try for a male child like voice or go for something else, but try to keep it vaguely young sounding.
Line 1: Excited and chipper
Line 2: Pleading
Line 3: Chipper
Hey, I'm gettin' better at this!
I wasn't trying to hurt you!!

Line 1: Happy
Line 2: Interested

I can now help so many more!
Some good could come of this!
I must find a haven!
The legendary evil Liche Queen has risen, and is set to bring the kingdom to it's knees.
Voice Type: Medium-low, vaguely husky. All lines should be read in a menacing manner.
Soon, you will serve me.
You frail mortals cannot stop me!
[Evil Laugh]
Monks are the followers of the Law Keeper, Dauros. Originally, they were silent, just making vague grunts. I've decided to change it up a bit so they have...some actual personality.

Line 2: Determined (Entering a battle)
Line 3: Righteous
I deem your mandate just.

Loyal followers of the crown who construct and repair all the buildings. They don't seem to be too enthused about working though...
Voice type: Doesn't matter, just sound bored.
I serve with pleasure.

The Black Phantoms return again when destroying their home while hunting for a sacred artifact.
Voice type: Wispy. Doesn't matter the flavor of your voice, as it sounds a bit spooky. Just don't be too hammy.

Ardent followers of the goddess of death, Krypta, Priestesses are dark, gloomy women with...an almost unhealthy fascination with death.
The Temple of Krypta allows the player to cast Wither, a debuff, Reanimate Bones, which creates a skeleton ally for a hero, and Reanimate, which revives monsters.
Voice type: Doesn't matter, just make it dark and wispy.
Line 1: Menacing (Entering a fight)
Line 2: Determined (Leveling up)
Line 3: Shouting (Casting a spell)
Are you willing to flirt with death?
One step closer...to Oblivion!
Sosi-vahl!
A lot of well trained hunters, Rangers are mostly used for scouting purposes. Mostly motivated by adventure and gold, they will explore even the furthest reaches of Ardenia.

Line 1: Ready for anything (Leveling up)
Line 2: A bit jokey (Fleeing)

What a delicious looking reward.

Temples to Helia allow the player to use Fire Strike, a direct damage spell, and Sun Scorch, and AoE attack.

Tax Collector!
More gold, your majesty!
A three headed elder dragon, Vendral can only be killed using a special sword that has been lost for years.

My prowess is unmatched!
A foul beast approaches...
Where shall my duty send me next?
Big, burly men, these counterparts to Warriors are more focused on killing than protecting. Originally they were babbling lunatics, but I've decided to change them so they sound as intimidating as they look.
Voice type: Deep and Gravelly.
Line 1: Ready for battle (Seeing an enemy)
Line 2: Cocky (Leveling up)
GONNA GET YOU!
You can't run now!
