About DevinClark
Avid backpacker and failed travel blogger turned audio professional.
I've been to 22 countries in my 24 years on this planet and while that may seem impressive... travelling solo, meeting new people, and all the things that come with being a 'student of the world' doesn't pay the bills!
My entire life I have been very auditory coming from a background of musicians and piano teachers. As a result music is obviously a big part of my identity; but voice over work and accents are the thing I know can give me the same satisfaction I get out of travel. You can ask the people I've met on my journeys and they would tell you, I'm constantly making noises with my mouth! (Much to the annoyance of others). As a result I've picked up tons of little vocal quirks and features as well as plenty of accents along the way due to my constant need for noise. It's not just because I want to take a break from my tinnitus either, I just genuinely enjoy sound!
But you're wondering what I can offer you instead of why I'm here, right? Well the answer is because I need to break into this industry of voice work and this is a site that many people recommend for beginners such as myself. Hiring me for a job doesn't guarantee you're getting the best, but with some feedback and constructive criticism (don't worry I can handle hard truths) I will use my motivated beginner naivety to deliver something we both can be satisfied with.
Please don't be afraid to send me a message. I'm going to refrain from plugging the podcast I host with my friend here but that's how I've learned to edit audio via audacity in case you're wondering.
