Konosuba LN short
Project Overview
Adapting a scene from the Konosuba light novels that was skipped in the anime! This scene taken from Vol 5 of the LN would of taken place at the beginning of the Crimson magic clan arc (ie; the movie) but wasn't included, so I thought it'd be cool to voice it for fans of the show. I've done the principle reading for Kazuma, the narrator; sorry I couldn't offer it as a role. I'm also not sure what form the final project will take in terms of visuals and release, but I when I approach the finished product I will be transparent as to accreditation (if desired) and sharing/release. If at all I'm going to upload the scene to YouTube, but that also means I'm at the mercy of the copywrite system so I can't make any promises.
The comedic scene is 15 - 20 minutes and covers a self-contained adventure where Kazuma and company encounter a monster in the form of a young girl!
This is a non-profit fan audiobook exert reading. I'm paying VAs out of my own pocket, and the video will NOT be monetized. I don't currently plan to have return projects within the Konosuba world, so it's just a one-off fun project.
Feel free to contact me for further details or elaboration on roles or the project itself. Auditions with background noise, low quality, etc may be rejected.

Briefly, Aqua is an air-headed and naïve companion of the main character. Her dialog flavor bounces from being a petty younger sister type, to briefly a sagely goddess, and back to a child-like tantrum, pleading with the main character, Kazuma. Her attitude is sincere and caring but simplistically driven. Her voice should be that of a cutesy idealistic air-headed young woman. Higher register voice but still an adult. No significant regionalism/accent. I'm not looking for a voice-match per-se (if you're familiar with the English VA), but I also don't want to reinvent the wheel. I can provide reference at request.
Story wise, she is the goddess of water and canonically not very intelligent.

Aqua: “Hey, doesn’t 'sneaking' only affect you, Kazuma? [PAUSE] Are you saying that anytime you sense an enemy, you can just run away by yourself? That’s not what you’re saying, is it?”
Aqua [sagely wisdom]: “Kazuma, When you’re confused like this, whatever decision you make is sure to leave you full of regret. So Just take the path of least resistance.”
Aqua: “Waa—waaaaaaaaaaahhhh! Kazuma, you monster! You morally bankrupt demon! Now I see why Vanir likes you so much! You’re worse than he is!”

For the purposes is for this scene, Megumin is an adventure companion of the main character (Kazuma). She is generally aloof/matter of fact, but like the rest of the cast, quickly/passionately dotes on the monster girl they encounter. Megumin is a young girl 12~15y/o; Not looking for a voice match, but her English VA has a (female's) mid range pitch; No regionalism/accent.

Megumin[aloof]: “Kazuma, I am not going home out of concern for Yunyun. I am worried about my sister, as I told you. So I think we should move on immediately. Knowing Yunyun, she will have no trouble catching up to us.”
Megumin [pleading]: “I, too, know of the Leisure Girl. But surely you wouldn’t hurt a being in the form of such an adorable child? I know you wouldn’t do something like this… Would you…?”
Megumin: “Kazuma,” [PAUSE] “aren’t Adventurers supposed to level up easily? We had that whole intense battle with the Demon King’s general, and you only got one level? I jumped straight up to 33!”

Darkness is a female 16-18 y/o teen, part of the main character's party. In this scene she is the mainly balanced voice of reason, though she does get taken in by the monster girl's words. Her voice is stoic with light elocution. Not looking for a voice match to her English VA, but her voice has a even cadence compared to the rest of the cast.

Darkness: “…Eep. There’s someone there…”
Darkness [hesitantly]: “Kazuma, sh-she’s looking at me,” [PAUSE]. “Look at those big round eyes! Are you sure it’s a monster?”
Dark [solemly]: “It must have been painful,” [PAUSE] “But you did your duty as an adventurer. Forgive us for making you bear this burden alone…”

The Leisure Girl is a monster in disguise that Kazuma and his party encounter. She is in the form a small child ~10-12y/o and speaks like a vulnerable sheltered child when speaking to people. When she drops her facade, she takes on a indignant, delinquent tone that could be much older. The scene revolves around her tricking the rest of the cast into thinking she is a helpless girl. no noticeable regionalism; speaks influent as if speaking English for the first time.

Leisure Girl: “…He’s gonna… k-kill me…?”
Leisure Girl: “This is the first…time in my…life…I’ve been able to talk…to a human.If there is…such a thing as rebirth…I hope I won’t…be a monster…in my next life.”
Leisure Girl [indignant tone shift]: “Pfah, there goes another one. And that woodcutter looked so meaty. There would have been plenty to feed on there…”

This role is simply the adventure's guidebook narration. It serves to inform and detail adventures of the danger of monsters. It should not be read as if it's a textbook, but rather a guildmaster's forewarning. it's informative, but moreover a descriptive warning. finding balance between concern and taxonomy is key.
Any prospective audition should be familiar with long-form narration and/or punch-and-roll. The lines are several sentences long.

Manual: “Leisure Girl: This plant-type monster does not do direct physical damage. However, it will attempt to provoke strong protective feelings in passing travelers to lure them closer. Its advances are difficult to resist, and once you give in to your sympathy for it, you will remain its prisoner until you die. Some maintain that this monster is actually highly intelligent, but this is not certain. We request that adventuring groups who encounter this monster exterminate it, difficult as that may be.”
“While travelers are near this monster, it will display a highly relaxing smile, making it difficult to leave. If an attempt to withdraw is nonetheless made, it will begin to cry. The more good-hearted the traveler, the more dangerous this monster is.”
"The fruit is in fact quite tasty. But it is almost entirely devoid of nutritional value, so one will continue to lose weight no matter how much one eats. Travelers suffer pangs of conscience to see the little girl offer them her own fruit, eventually cease to eat at all, and die of malnutrition.”

Male Adventurer/Woodsman. Typically a tough guy, but can't bring himself to kill this monster who looks like a little girl. I imagine he's typically kinda gruff and gritty.

Woodcutter [sorrowful]: “Argh… Damn! I’m sorry! Forgive me! But we woodcutters know that if we find one of you, we have to get rid of you…!”
Woodcutter: “Ahh! I can’t do it! ... Damn it all, I just can’t do it!”
