  • Greetings and Thank You

Dear VAs, Thank you so much for all your auditions, comments, and attentions for this project. If you are already working on this project, you're the best. Thank you! I have just realized about the great video by a popular YouTuber Brodual featuring the Immersive World Encounters. He kindly included a link to this audition page, and I'm astonished by the skyrocketing increase of attention in the last couple of days! I would like you all to know that several more roles are planned to be opened for audition in the near future. So be sure to check the audition page every now and then so you can apply for them when they are available. Some roles will involve singing as they are bard roles! I also would like to tell you that I listen to every single one of your reels, and have been surprised by the overall quality displayed by the auditionees. Even if I could not cast you for your desired role, please don't let my decision discourage you, and give other roles a try! Warm regards, Sette.
  • All roles are open

I'm sorry it has taken me a couple of days to do this, but all of the available roles are now open for auditioning! I also would like to thank all of you who have auditioned for this project. I listened to all of your audition reels and I am amazed by the overall quality and the level of dedication you guys have to offer. Choosing one person per role has been already proven to be a difficult process. Even if I couldn't give you the desired role, that doesn't mean you're disqualified. So please give your best shots for the remaining roles! Thank you!

Role assigned to: Glenn Bulthuis

Total lines for this role: 94

A male Nord warrior in his late 50s~70s. He speaks in a distinct, traditional Nordic accent and has a deep voice of a seasoned warrior.

He sounds authoritative and strict as a Nordic guardsman of Windhelm and Falkreath. But in a particular role of Old Skaal Hunter, he is an old, drunken hunter with a long white beard, enjoying mead with his fellow Nords in wilderness.

If you've played The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, think of the voice of Captain Aldis in Solitude when you play WIndhelm Guard. His rank is a bit higher than other typical city guards found in Skyrim. He has decades of experience in maintaining peace, and his tone can be very strict at times.

The voice of the Old Skaal Hunter has a slightly different tone, however. Think of Gandalf in the Lord of the Rings or Santa Clause. He wears a thick coat made with a Horker skin, a traditional Skaal outfit to survive in a harsh climate of northern Solstheim. He is enjoying mead with his fellow hunters by the campfire in wilderness. He gets drunk as you talk to him, but his dialogues are still distinguishable.

  • [Windhelm Guard]

    (Mood:Neutral, sincere)

    - My respect to the Thane of Eastmarch, sir. We're here to accompany you while you're honoring us by your visit to Windhelm.

    - Like I said, we’re only doing our duty as city guards to maintain peace here. You have no reason to be alerted if your intentions are clear.

  • [Old Skaal Hunter]

    (Mood: Happy)

    - Ah! A fellow Nord! I didn't expect to see someone like you out in this...middle of nowhere!

    - A Dunmer? What's a Dunmer doing in Solstheim? *Laugh* Don't be so stiff my friend, I'm just kidding!

    (Mood: Happy, drunk)

    - So, what's your story, traveler? Why roam around the land of fire and ash? Let us hear it, in exchange for a bottle of Ashfire Mead!

    - Now drink up! To Skaal!

    (After surviving the fight.)

    - I thank you, All-Maker. For I lived another day.

  • (Combat Dialogue: Attacking)

    - Yeargh!

    (Combat Dialogue: Being attacked)

    - Argh!

    (Combat Dialogue: Taunting viciously)

    - Sovngarde witness me!

    - Let's end this!

    - Come at me, monster...

Role assigned to: convito

Total lines to record: 53

There are 2 roles for Orc races, but this one has more appearance in game and thus more dialogues. Orc Strider is a young Orcish warrior from Stronghold. He should sound tough, brutal, and beastly, just like any other Orcs in The Elder Scrolls.

But unlike many Orcs we see in Skyrim he has a casual personality and sometimes he is rather comedic. His dialogues are fast-paced and loud.

  • [Orc Courier]

(You are sent out to deliver a letter. You've run all across Skyrim and finally found the recipient. Mood: Exhausted)

    - *heavy breath* I...I've...I've been looking for you. By Stendarr, this courier job is tough!

    - Anyways, here's the letter I was tasked to deliver you. It's from the Stronghold. So, uh, read it. Please, it's important.

  • [Adventurer]

(Your enemy is defeated. Mood: Excited)

    - Hahaha! We've done it! The evil Werewolf is no more. We have made Skyrim a safer place!

  • [Combat Dialogues: Taunting viciously]

    - You will die ugly!

    - You will taste your own blood, human!

    - I will vanquish you!

An old Nord with years of fighting experience. His accent is Nordic.

If you've played Witcher 3, think of the voice of Vesemir. This role often appears as a war veteran, a guard captain of Windhelm, or a just grumpy old man. He should sound tougher and harsher than ordinary elder people.

He should sound like a seasoned warrior, with a deep, commanding voice.

  • [Grumpy old man]

    (Mood: Angry, hostile)

    - If you do so much as to lay a finger on me, bounty hunters will chase you down to the end of horizon. Believe me, I have all the coin in the world!

    (Mood: Grumpy)

    - Say what you must, I haven't got all day!

  • [Combat Dialogues]

    (Mood: Angry, taunting your enemy)

    - This is your last folly, young one!

    - You damned fool! I slew a horde of Elves in the Great War!

This High Elf woman often appears as a traveling mage. Her voice does not wield authority unlike the voice of Thalmor agents. But she should sound confident, proud, and elegant. She should speak in a formal British accent,

  • [College of Winterhold Student]

    - I am a student at the College of Winterhold. I won't let my Breton and Nord "friends" surpass me.

    - I avoid having meaningless conversations. In Skyrim, they're known to make an Altmer's life rather...brief.

This male Orc role should sound less dramatic and have a slightly higher tone than most other Orc in Skyrim. He is still an Orc, though, so I want you to intertwine the beastly Orcish template voice and more humanly human voice.

This Khajit role can be male or female. Should sound the same way as typical Khajits in The Elder Scrolls. Croaky, or smoky voice with very distinct lilt. It could be African, or Moroccan, exotic and somewhat uplifting accent.

  • - Khajiit does not find it very easy to tell one Nord from the other. Nords look very similar, no?

    - Khajiit has no wish to make a trade or steal from the others. Khajit is very content with what he/she already has.

    - Khajit wishes you well.

Role assigned to: deleted103592

A male character, a Redguard, with preferably a younger voice. I want him to sound like a real black person, so although your ethnicity doesn't matter, I do prefer someone who can impersonate common Black English. His accent can be either American or British. In addition to those, authentic Creole accent would be a great fit as well. You will be playing a named NPC called Baku, whom Player will meet for number of times in 4 or more quests. Redguards are commonly known as strong race, but Baku is different. He is a 17~19 year old boy with little fighting experience. He is trying to find out his identity, his home is far away, and Skyrim is not exactly s traveler-friendly place. Baku sounds helpless, but his optimism makes him adorable and also funny.

  • [Redguard man]

(Trying to sell Player skooma (addictive substance) in a friendly, but shady tone,)

    - Hello, there! You look like a wary one, friend. Don't worry, I have just what you need. Something to make you...relaxed.

(Talking about your past in a honest rone)

    - I came to Skyrim with a group of Alik'r, the warriors. Never fought anything in my life, I was just their...errand boy, so to speak.

  • [Redguard]

    - They say the Nord's might is comparable to that of a bear. But for us Reguards, a man needs to have fortitude of a bison, swiftness of a snake, and smart of a vulture. *sigh* Easier said than done, I say...

A male character of unspecified race (Mostly Nord). His accent can be American, any British accent (including Scottish) or even Nordic but has to be consistent throughout the script.

His voice should sound natural and clear.  He is not one of those "strong Nord" type, more like a farmer, citizen, or a typical guardsman.

  • [Bandit Captive]

(Tied up in wilderness, left for dead. Calling for someone's help desperately.)

    - Help!...*Cough* Help me…!

    - Please! Someone...help me.

(Player releases the captive. Mood: Relief, grateful)

Thank you for rescuing me. They’ve taken everything from me, so I have nothing but my gratitude to give you. Gods smile on you!

  • [Condescending  Whiterun Guard]

(Talking to and ridiculing a Falkreath Guard for being rude. Mood: Upset)

    - You keep on like that, and I'll cut off your bloody tongue, forest barbarian. Maybe you should consider taking those manner lessons. From spriggans.

    (Speaking to Player. Mood: Surprise)

    - Wait, you are a Thane of Whiterun! I didn't realize it was you.

  • [Combat Dialogue: Taunting viciously]

A middle-aged male character of Imperial race.  He is a professional fighter with confidence in his skill and years of experience, and often appears as a Solitude Guard, Imperial Soldier, and Adventurer.

His accent can be either formal British or orthodox American. His voice should sound exactly like what a typical Imperial race characters sound like; Imagine a classic superhero. Commanding yet sincere, masculine yet flowing, strict yet romantic.

If you haven't listened to Wes Johnson's Imperial Guards in The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion before, I would suggest that you have a listen on Youtube for inspiration.

  • [Imperial Guardsman in the city of Solitude, speaking to Player]

    (Mood: Neutral, sincere)

    - I know of your good deeds assisting Jarl Elisif, citizen. We're here to accompany you whilst you're in the city. We won't be a bother, so don't worry.

    - Welcome back to Solitude, my good Thane. We're here to accompany you whilst you're in the city. I assure you we will not be a bother.

    (Mood: Angry, taunting)

    - You dare to taunt us? Go ahead, draw your weapon! It will be your last time before you'll rot in our cell!

Role assigned to: Victoria Stam

Total lines for this role: around 60~70

A young (in her late teens~20s), ordinary female character of unspecified race (mostly Nord). Your accent can be American, British, or even Nordic, but has to be consistent throughout the script.

Her voice should be natural and clear. She is not a warrior.

In addition to several unnamed generic NPCs, you will be also voicing a young Nord girl named Monica. She will have her appearance in 2 quests dedicated for her. In her first appearance, Monica will approach Player and talks about how excited she is about "getting married". In these dialogues she sounds very happy, almost to the point of being annoying. As Player discovers later, Monica is not a person she appears to be. She is rather comedic but also cunning, and although she is happy to talk about her marriage, she is saddened to talk about her past. She has a low self-esteem but her survival instinct is strong, so she takes every opportunity to make a living even if it'd mean to make a mockery of herself.

An ideal person to play this role would be someone who can portray a character with a uniquely comedic side that makes her lovable.

  • [Monica]

    (Higher tone. Mood: Annoyingly happy)

    - So my husband and I, we've just got married. And...*chuckles* Oh, I'm so happy! Right now we need every help we can get to make our new living.

    - Thank you! Oh, you should've seen my wedding! It was a dream come true!

    - Oh, thanks so much! Here, have a cup of Snowberry Tea made with my family recipe. May you be blessed by Lady Mara...as I am.

Preferable accent for this role would be Nordic, but other accents such as Scottish, British dialects, or Irish would also work. His voice should sound natural and authentic.

  • [Farmer]

    (Mood: Concerned)

    - Traveler! I need your help. Will you lend us a hand with solving a "festering problem"?

  • [Falkreath Guard]

    - You've committed a crime against Skyrim and her people. What say you in your defense?

This is a male character who is not your best friend. He makes his appearance as a thug, town's drunkard, bandit, that kind of thing. He hangs out with unfriendliest bunch and hates Jarls, hates city guards, hates Dragonborn, hates everything. He should sound villainy and tough, intimidating, and foolish. Maybe a little drunk, too. His accent can be either American or Nordic.

  • [Thug]

(Talking to Player. Mood: Unfriendly, despise)

    - Hey, you. Come here, we wanna talk to you.

    - You know, I've always hated Wood Elves. Well, all elves deserve to be hated, but your kind maybe the worst. You have no honor. No courage. No respect.

(Starting a fight with Player, calling for his friends to help him.)

    - Come on, lads! Let's teach this prick a lesson.

  • [Bandit]

Role assigned to: khobis

This male dark elf character should sound wise, mature, and proud. He also sounds a little harsh, being a warrior in a land covered in ash makes you do that. His voice should have similar tone as typical dark elves in The Elder Scrolls, but you don't have to overdo it. I want you to find a balancing spot between a deep, Batman-esque voice and more human-like, natural voice. His accent should be one of British accents except Scotish and Irish. Cockney would be best, but any other dialects or formal British accent will do as well.

Ash Wanderer is feeling a little bit melancholy. He wanders Solstheim aimlessly, and his dialogues are a little dramatic. He's been like that for who knows how long, so he sounds emotionless and yet sorrowful at the same time.

  • [Redoran Guard in Raven Rock]

    - Speak quickly, if you must.

(When asked if you're a Redoran guard.)

    - That we are. Can't say this is an idealistic place to be posted, but at least it's not Skyrim. Ha!

  • [Ash Wanderer]

    - I have heard the tales of stout warriors of the Fatherland. Wolves, bears...it seems savages of all kinds dwell in the land of Skyrim.

    - I hear the callings of my great ancestors. I go out at night, searching for them. Now, all I can hear is distant storms and the roaring Fire.

This female dark elf character is nimble. Her weapon of choice would be a dagger. She tries to outsmart men, and when her plan goes south she goes for their throats with her dance-like acrobatic moves. She is often a thief, or a wanderer without purpose, but one thing common in her roles is that she doesn't exactly have her heart in the right place.

Her accent should be one of British dialects such as Cockney or formal British,

  • [Thief]

(Robbed someone, and running from him.)

    - Can't catch up with me! *Laugh

    (Mocks someone for being trapped)
