Genshin Impact Webtoon and Comic Dubs [Book Club Dubs]
Project Overview
(Video above is an example of our work and our most popular video to date at over one million views!)
Hey guys, Book Club Dubs here.
Welcome to the casting call for the next series we plan on dubbing content for: Genshin Impact! The major questions you may have about this casting call are covered below, but if you have any additional questions feel free to ask about them on our Discord server.
Good luck and have fun!
"What is This Casting Call For?"
This casting call is for the Genshin Impact Webtoon, though some of the characters will also be used for Genshin Impact Comic Dubs. Characters that overlap will be consistent between both the Webtoon and also the Comic Dubs that will be featured on our channel. This particular casting call will include characters who aren't included in the Webtoon, but we have permission to dub comics for. All videos are posted to our channel, which you can see in our links on this project page.
"Do We Have to Imitate the Canon Voices?"
You are free to base your audition off of canon voices, but it is not necessary. We will be picking actors based on who suits the character the most.
"Will There Be Double Casting? What About the Characters Not Covered Here?"
This will depend on audition turnout and the characters themselves: getting a minor character in the web comic and a major game character should be fine. As for the game characters who are NOT in this casting call, it's because we do not currently have any comics for them. Should we find comics later on that include characters not on this page, we will hold additional casting either formally on here or informally on our Discord.

“It does seem close today. But you should head back to the house, Lind. The Gods will be pleased with your recovery.” (Caring; speaking to her sister)
“Prison matters not to me. I’m a slave warrior of the arena. This entire city is just a bigger prison for my kin and I… and stop the rhymes, it irks me.” (Serious/slightly irritated)

“Look, Vennessa… It seems closer than before.” (Slight awe)
Character Description
A bard that seems to have arrived on some unknown wind - sometimes sings songs as old as the hills, and other times sings poems fresh and new. Likes apples and lively places, but is not a fan of cheese or anything sticky. A prominent character in the prologue of the web comic, and a popular character in the fan comics.
Vocal Description
Medium-High impish young boy voice. We are looking for a female to voice this role. Singing is required.
*Yawn* “That was a refreshing sleep. Ah, Traveler, we meet again! What? You don’t remember me? Ahaha, well, allow me to join you on your quest once again. I must see to it that the bards of the world tell the Traveler’s tales!” (Initially sleepy sounding, quickly turning into confident bravado)
What's that tasty morsel you've got there... Eew! A melted cheese pancake! A smelly, sticky, slimy disgusting mess! (First part excited/curious, second part disgusted)
“Sure, I’ll play you another tune, but it’ll cost you an apple.” (Impish)
OPTIONAL: Sing something if you want; preferably something folky
Character Description

Prominent in the web comic and popular in fan comics.
Vocal Description
Medium-Low serious young adult male voice. His tone should be steady and unflappable most of the time, but he has a hidden passionate side that occasionally surfaces.

I've become stronger... Though it is still not enough, I will always face the darkness. For dawn to come, there must be those who dare to pierce the darkness with their light. (Humble/Driven)

Everyone in Mondstadt loves Kaeya, but no one knows what secrets this witty, charming knight has. A prominent character in the webcomic and a commonly seen character in fan comics.
Vocal Description
Medium to Medium-Low young adult male voice with an airy tone most of the time. Tends to act laidback and playful in most instances, but has a dark side.
“Kaeya, Knight of Favonius. Please, allow me to join you on your journey. Guarding you on your journey sounds far more entertaining than any of the usual Favonius stuff.” (Introducing self; slightly playful)
I can't believe that some people actually drink grape juice... if they had a little more patience, they would find that it ferments into the most exquisite wine. Hmph. So unromantic. (Disgusted)
Oh? Well, if you're concerned about keeping things professional... maybe you can find more use for me on the front lines. How 'bout it boss? Haha, just don't feel intimidated by what I can do. (Teasing/Confident)

A sniveling merchant that works for Il Dottore. Willing to do whatever it takes to make a profit and please his master. A fairly recurring character in the webcomic.

Character Description
Dottore is ruthless and has little regard for human life. His first appearance has him threaten Krupp with being an experiment subject for his repeated failure to get results, and he later makes good on that promise after Krupp is compromised by Diluc during a banquet. He also takes no interest in the death of two Fatui diplomats during the Black Fire incident, leaving someone else to resolve the issue for him. One of the central antagonists of the webcomic set to eventually appear in-game.
Vocal Description
Medium-High to Medium-Low young man voice capable of a lot of theatrical emotion. He is rather eccentric and prone to mood swings, often switching between melodramatic supervillain to genuinely unsettling and threatening.
“Your wares are pathetic as usual, Krupp. You’re running out of bodies and ideas. Perhaps I’ll run my tests on you instead.” (Dismissive/Threatening)
“That “Vision” you’re wearing is indeed interesting. Just to let you know, breach of confidence will result in immediate removal of files. But the loss of this menial is happily balanced out by this unexpected finding.” (Smug/Menacing)
“Two of our diplomats died?...Trivial stuff.” (Bored)

“This is indeed a matter of grave import. The Grand Master must learn of this before we can decide.” (Serious)
Character Description
A perky, straightforward girl, who is also the only Outrider of the Knights of Favonius. Her amazing mastery of the glider has made her a three-time winner of the Gliding Championship in Mondstadt. As a rising star within the Knights of Favonius, Amber is always ready for any challenging tasks. One of the true leads of the web comic, and featured in some fan comics.
Vocal Description
Medium-High to Medium peppy teenage girl voice. Almost always optimistic and spunky, she actually has several serious/poignant moments in the web comic.

A reoccurring character in the web comic and appears in some fan comics.
Vocal Description
Medium pitch young woman voice that tends to be composed. As a leader, she tries to sound as professional and reliable as possible when at her post, but does have the occasional moment of weariness.

“It seems I’m immune to coffee now. Perhaps I need to ask Lisa for something… a little stronger…” (Tired/Musing)

The librarian of the Knights of Favonius. In addition to her elegance and charm, Lisa is also highly educated. She is said to have been the most talented sorceress to study at the Sumeru Arcademia in the last two centuries. It is known that Lisa chose to return to Mondstadt after two years of advanced study in Sumeru, but the reason for the decision is not. Lisa currently serves as a librarian in the Knights of Favonius. Relatively occurring character in the webcomic, and unsurprisingly popular in the fandom.
Vocal Description
Medium to Medium-Low sultry adult woman voice. She tends to be very flirtatious and playful in her speech; gives off big “ara ara” energy.

“I can be your teacher, your master, or your friend… or all three if you want…” (Seductive/Teasing)

Character Description
Paimon is bubbly, outgoing, but almost a little too honest and often comes off rude. She makes it clear who she favors; who she likes and who she doesn't like, for example as she does not like Venti, she makes it quite clear by calling him "Tone-deaf bard".
