My name is Chryss and welcome to the OPEN CASTING CALL for the 2nd Chapter of my EDENS ZERO (by Hiro Mashima) FAN/COMICDUB!
So far only the 1st Chapter has been released on Youtube (you can find the link above as the video URL) or if that doesn't work, click here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PX4VmTMGAMw&t=3s I am really excited to continue this process together with anyone who gets cast! The already cast members are really friendly and helpful, so please don't be afraid to audition ^^ Please, let's have fun to make this FANDUB as best as it could be! If you haven't read the 1st or the 2nd chapter I recommend you read them since cast members will need to become familiar with the work and what's going on (for acting purposes of course). A FEW REQUIREMENTS THOUGH:
• MUST HAVE A DECENT MIC WITH NO BACKGROUND NOISE!!! (negations to this rule, may result in not being cast)
• MUST BECOME COMMITTED TO THE PROJECT!!! This may become a long-term project depending on how the first chapter goes, so I can't have ANYONE backing out because "they simply forgot", or they "didn't want to be a part of it anymore". Please be committed.
• I WILL MAKE A DISCORD FOR THIS FANDUB, AND ONLY CAST MEMBERS WILL RECEIVE THE LINK AS A MESSAGE HERE ON CCC!
• PLEASE ABIDE BY THE DISCORD RULES THAT WILL BE WRITTEN OUT IN THE DISCORD ITSELF (failure to abide by the rules will result in being dropped from the project)
• THE RECORDING OF THE LINES WILL BE HELD IN A CALL WITH ME, SO THAT I MAY DIRECT YOU ACCORDINGLY!

p.s. - You may audition for as many characters as you want! But keep in mind some characters may be cast to offsite actors, including myself. Shiki is NO EXCEPTION! I'm only giving the role to the person who can portray the character the way I see them in my head!

Shiki is the main lead character for Hiro Mashima's EDENS ZERO. He's a Repair Man in a kingdom filled with robots, his friends. He was raised by a robot named the Demon King, his grandfather, and bestows a power onto Shiki unlike anyone else, so far... He's the only human in the kingdom!
Shiki is everything that a main Shounen lead needs to be: Stupid at times, heroic, cares for his friends, and sometimes smart. Think of Natsu Dragneel from Fairy Tail, but with a little more sense and brain. All he wants is to be able to make friends and keep the ones who cry for him!
For Shiki, I'm looking for a medium tone raspy voice that can go high if need be!
*HAPPY* "We're all friends here. GOOD FRIENDS!"
*FREAKING OUT* "MY HAIR!!! MY HAIR'S GONE!!! MICHAEL! SOMETHING'S WRONG!!! WHA- NO ONE'S HERE!!!"
*ANGRY/DETERMINED* "My grandpa told me... That if I got friends who would cry for me... Then I should never let them go. So... I WILL FIGHT FOR THOSE TEARS!!!"
Rebecca is an adventuring gal! Her and Happy the Cat adventure through space to go visit different planets in order to gain more viewers for her "Youtube" channel the Blue Cat channel! Her dream is to get 1,000,000 subscribers!!! She saves Shiki from his home planet, the kingdom with robots when they all start rebelling against humans! Oh! and she LOVES to eat! XD
The kind of voice I'm looking for is a jolly, caring, everyday teen girl voice! Try to act on her personality!
*EXCITED* "THIS IS SO GONNA BRING TONS OF VIEWS! LET'S GO! ONE MILLION SUBSCRIBERS FOR THE BLUE CAT CHANNEL!"
*LOVINGLY* "So cute!!! Now that I look at it, isn't it just a cat...?"
*CRYING* "BEING FRIENDS... GOES BEYOND BEING HUMAN OR MACHINE!!!"
For those of you who DO know! Happy the Cat came from Hiro Mashima's well-known work, Fairy Tail! Happy is a mascot character, a sidekick, a buddy to the main character Rebecca! He's always by her side for support!
This role is open for both male and female, I'm just looking for a person who can voice Happy without strain and can do it for a good amount of time without sounding like they need to take a breath every 10 seconds.

*EXCITED/HAVING FISH IN HIS MOUTH* "Besides, they've even got something like this. 'Defeat monsters and receive amazing prizes!'"
A robot who was given the title as "Demon King" because he looks like... a demon... Anyway! He found and raised Shiki and brought him to Granbell Kingdom (the kingdom with the robots). He seems old and wise!
For his voice, I'm looking for it to be deep, but not menacing. Like a caring person!
*INSPIRING* "If you get friends who will cry for you... Never let them go."
*MAKING FUN OF/JOKINGLY* "GET PUNKED, SHIKI! GAHAHAHAHA!!!"
*INSPIRING* "Heh... Everyone has a heart. No matter who."
A robot who's Shiki's best friend. He doesn't believe that robots can have a heart and feel like humans can. That's all we have to go with for Michael! So far.

*BEING PULLED AND SHOVED BY KID SHIKI* "I... Can't cry, you know. Machines like me don't have hearts."
*CONFUSED ON WHY REBECCA WANTS TO CUT SHIKI'S HAIR* "We don't really understand why humans would think that's a problem, but..."
*SAD* "If one had to feel such sadness... A loneliness of such depth... Who would ever wish for a heart?"
Kid Shiki is kid Shiki! He was brought to the Granbell Kingdom and raised by The Demon King! He only appears for a few pages, but in those pages, he's fascinated about seeing a shooting star, or in space, a Dragon!
For his voice, I'm looking for a high raspy tone, or like a kid. Whichever you feel would suit Kid Shiki! I'll be choosing the one best for my liking!
*AMAZED* "Oh! The star! It's moving!"
*FASCINATED BECAUSE HE WAS TOLD THE "STAR" WAS ACTUALLY A DRAGON* "A Dragon!!"
"Friends? So you're talking about Michael?!"
The King watches over the Granbell Kingdom! He's a nice king and devises a plot in order to save Shiki from torment!
Voice him however you feel fits. But keep in mind, he is old!
"I am aware. It seems... The time has come."
*AS IF TELLING A STORY* "For a hundred years, we have waited... For someone to come here with a sail-worthy ship."
*READY TO FIGHT* "You are human. We are machines, we can never be friends..."
The Mayor is... well... THE MAYOR of The Granbell Kingdom! He seems like an upbeat, happy, and all around charismatic character!
For his voice, I'm looking for it to sound old with a mustache in the way. But not too deep of a voice, because he is usually always happy, or just bouncing around everywhere in the kingdom!
*ECSTATIC* "WELCOME TO THE KINGDOM OF DREAMS, GRANBELL!!"
*CONFUSED/A BIT WEIRDED OUT* "Channel...? We have quite the customer, don't we...?"
*INTRODUCING/HAPPY AT THE SAME TIME* "Would you like to go on an adventure like a hero? Would you like to live lavishly in a castle like a princess? This is a kingdom that can make dreams like these come true!"
Mitra is the bartender of the Granbell Kingdom! She's like the BIG MA! of the kingdom.

But try to make it more welcoming and loving!
"Oh, traveler, it looks like you failed the quest."
*HAPPY* "Well then, it's been 100 years since our last customer, so... Let's have a party with everyone!"
*DIRECTING* "Well, it's already late. We have prepared a bedroom on the second floor for you. It's a room designed for human use, and it comes with a shower."
Annie is the cook for The Granbell Kingdom! She's a cafeteria lady!
Voice her, as you think!
"This is the house special, enjoy!"
*IN AWE* "You look just like me when I was young."
*EVIL* "Humans only think of us as tools."
The Servant is the one who serves The King! We don't really have much on him or his personality, but I'm pretty sure he's loyal like a servant should be!
Voice him as you please!
*ADVISING* "My King. That girl..."
*EVIL* "Humans, they destroy us like it's nothing."
*EVIL* "KILL THE HUMANS!"
So Mother is known to be a Grand character in the whole scheme of the story. She's the reason why the main characters set out on their adventure! In the 2nd Chapter she only appears once, but I'm pretty sure she'll become a BIG DEAL in the future chapters! So the actor who gets cast for this role will be expected NOT to drop out!
"So the boy has departed on a trip. What will he bring about to this universe, I wonder..."
"Will he become a hero of legend? Or will he become a king of demons and bring about destruction?"
"Your adventure has just begun. Now, where will your own two feet take you?"
Professor Weisz is the scientist that's done a whole lot for Rebecca and Happy. He is also one of the major characters in the series, he doesn't appear too much in the 2nd chapter, but definitely plays a rather huge role later on!
The actor who gets cast for this role will need to be able to do a young version of this character!
*Say the third line in your own young adult Professor Weisz voice*
"Hey! Watch your tongue!"
"This planet is dying. It's too fragile for young'uns like you two."
"I'm Wise Steiner. Who the hell are you guys!?" (the young adult version of Professor Weisz)
Another character whom only has one line in chapter 2. but will seem to play a HUGE role down the line! Once more, the actress who gets cast for the role will be expected to stay with the series, of course! Even when you're not called up to do lines!
For her voice, I want something different from Erza Scarlet from Fairy Tail, considering a lot of people compare them very often (they do look the SAME)
I want something mature but at the same time intimidating.
"You're being loud. Do you wanna die?"
"Heh. Looks like the time has come... Set our course to Blue Garden."
A very bad Gang Boss! He's a minor character, only appears in chapter 2 from what we know so far! But, the actor who gets cast as this role can have the option of staying within the cast for any future background characters, or even a major character if there is any!
I want his voice to be really deep, fattish voice. Gotta sound intimidating too ^^ (give it your best shot, I'll be choosing the best one or the person who gets closest to the voice I have in my head)
"Woah Woah, What's all the ruckus about?"
(laugh) "HAHAHAHAHA!"
"OHHH YEAHHHH!!! KILLING A GUY WITH ETHER GEAR'S GONNA MAKE ME FAMOUS!"
