Dungeons and Dragons Saurians Series
Project Overview
My first D&D series, set in Mesonia, the Kingdom of Saurians. Here, I'll post the characters we need for the party (which I'll be a part of) and we do need a Dungeon Master. But now, let's delve into the story.
Mesonia is under siege by the fearsome Dragonborn warlord, Vivyas the Scorched. In desperation, King Virochan is forced to call to arms his old friends from back when he was but a humble soldier. With Vivyas' forces growing closer, it's go big or go extinct for the Saurian race, as the Infernal War ignites and if our heroes falter, Mesonian life itself will perish.

I have added a new character, Samudra the Druid Diplos! He will be one of the main characters, so we require him before Saturday the 3rd.
Basic Rundown of the Tyrannos
With the blood of the mythical Tyrant King the Tyrannos inherit the birthright of leadership and ruler caste of the Saurian society. With Saurian society having long since retreated from attempts at military expansion traditional Tyrannos do little today but rule over the decaying ruins of their once great society while enterprising Tyrannos may attempt to start trade with the wider world. Tyrannos are given a wide berth in terms of the functional roles they play in society but most often act as politicians, rulers, and merchants. The Tyrannos are easily identified by their large heads, which they claim is a result of their superior intellect and political prowess, and their short arms, which everyone else should be careful never to make note of.
Brief Rundown of Paladins
A paladin swears to uphold justice and righteousness, to stand with the good things of the world against the encroaching darkness, and to hunt the forces of evil wherever they lurk. Different paladins focus on various aspects of the cause of righteousness, but all are bound by the oaths that grant them power to do their sacred work. Although many paladins are devoted to gods of good, a paladin’s power comes as much from a commitment to justice itself as it does from a god. Paladins train for years to learn the skills of combat, mastering a variety of weapons and armor. Even so, their martial skills are secondary to the magical power they wield: the power to heal the sick and injured, to smite the wicked and the undead, and to protect the innocent and those who join them in the fight for justice.
Virochan's History
Born a soldier, Virochan arose from the ranks until the death of the previous ruler of Mesonia. But before he passed, he chose Virochan as the new king. For a century, Virochan lead his people in an age of prosperity and peace. However, this all changed when Vivyas the Scorched arrived to destroy it all. With his forces all but defeated, Virochan took it upon himself to rally his old team of warriors from his past to end the threat of the Scorched Dragonborn for all of eternity. Wielding a battleaxe and shield, Virochan has the ferocity of a savage beast but the intelligence of a scholar. Truly a force to be reckoned with.
My beloved people! It is with my deepest sorrow to inform you that our kingdom is being threatened by an invading party of Dragonborn. And it is as such that most of our forces are depleted. So, as much as it pains me to thrust this burden upon you, we do need volunteers to fight off the invaders.
After all these years, it is nice to see us reunited. But the matter at hand is that we are to face the Dragonborn and to make sure these beasts never invade our kingdom again.

Brief Rundown of the Ankylos
By tradition, the Ankylos are the military caste of Saurian society. Ankylos are introduced to fighting in small groups as a form of competitive team combat for sport and the entertainment of other Saurians. Ankylos age into roles in the city guard, in militaries, or as hired bodyguards. These combat roles well suit the Ankylos as they are the heaviest among Saurian kind and possess both natural weapons and natural defense. Along their back, the Ankylos have contiguous bone plates that create their shell and their tail ends in a club formed from more of the same bone plates.
Brief History of the Fighters
Fighters learn the basics of all combat styles. Every fighter can swing an axe, fence with a rapier, wield a longsword or a greatsword, use a bow, and even trap foes in a net with some degree of skill. Likewise, a fighter is adept with shields and every form of armor. Beyond that basic degree of familiarity, each fighter specializes in a certain style of combat. Some concentrate on archery, some on fighting with two weapons at once, and some on augmenting their martial skills with magic. This combination of broad general ability and extensive specialization makes fighters superior combatants on battlefields and in dungeons alike.
Laguda's History
The bodyguard and military advisor to King Virochan, Laguda is both loyal and fierce. Wielding a heavy flail and spiked shield, this Ankylos is built like a fortress and hits with the force of a cannon.
My Lord, I regret to inform you all of our forces are all but depleted. But I do have a plan. What if we gather our old forces back from when we were serving under the Burrowing Fangs? I already know where to find them.
That's the thing Vivyas...I will never sell out my king. My loyalty is with King Virochan...forever...AND ALWAYS!!!

Brief Rundown of the Triceras
Triceras are regarded as being exceptionally gifted scribes and ritualists and make up the majority of the scholar caste in Saurian society. As members of the scholar caste, Triceras are called on to remember the customs and traditions of the past as well as interpret and mediate the application of historical laws. Triceras fulfill their function as members of the scholar caste by serving Saurian society as judges, priests, and lorekeepers. The most striking physical characteristic of the Triceras is their forehead which forms a ridge separating the front of their skull from the back. On the front facing side of that ridge are three horns with one shorter horn sitting directly above the Triceras’ beak and the two longer horns above and to either side of the central horn
Brief Rundown of the Sorcerer
Magic is a part of every sorcerer, suffusing body, mind, and spirit with a latent power that waits to be tapped. Some sorcerers wield magic that springs from an ancient bloodline infused with the magic of dragons. Others carry raw, uncontrolled magic within them, a chaotic storm that manifests in unexpected ways. The appearance of sorcerous powers is wildly unpredictable. Some draconic bloodlines produce exactly one sorcerer in every generation, but in other lines of descent, every individual is a sorcerer. Most of the time, the talents of sorcery appear as apparent flukes. Some sorcerers can’t name the origin of their power, while others trace it to strange events in their own lives. The touch of a demon, the blessing of a dryad at a baby’s birth, or a taste of the water from a mysterious spring might spark the gift of sorcery. So too might the gift of a deity of magic, exposure to the elemental forces of the Inner Planes or the maddening chaos of Limbo, or a glimpse into the inner workings of reality. Sorcerers have no use for the spellbooks and ancient tomes of magic lore that wizards rely on, nor do they rely on a patron to grant their spells as warlocks do. By learning to harness and channel their own inborn magic, they can discover new and staggering ways to unleash that power.
Acharya's History
The minister of justice for Mesonia, Acharya's life is riddled with religious acts and peacekeeping. But when push comes to shove, he will use his glaive and club to pummel his foes into submission. However, when all else fails...he will use his head...quite literally. He is a living battering ram. And he is proud of it.
Virocha, my dearest friend, it is a great honor to see you again.
I see you've taken interest in my work, I dearly appreciate it, Virocha.

Basic Rundown of the Diplos
The largest of all the Saurians, the Diplos are instantly recognizable by their long necks and hulking frame. Usually, they range to about 10ft tall and weigh up to 500lbs. They are primarily architects and explorers for the Saurians. In their various adventures, they are often seen as Druids and other magic users.
Basic Rundown of the Druids
Druids revere nature above all, gaining their spells and other magical powers either from the force of nature itself or from a nature deity. Many druids pursue a mystic spirituality of transcendent union with nature rather than devotion to a divine entity, while others serve gods of wild nature, animals, or elemental forces. The ancient druidic traditions are sometimes called the Old Faith, in contrast to the worship of gods in temples and shrines.
Samudra's History
One of the chiefs of the forest tribes of Mesonia, Samudra uses nature's might as his primary weapon. But when all else fails, he uses dual scimitars to slice his enemies into submission.
Nature's will is always right.
The Gods are with us today my friends.

The host of the game, the Dungeon Master must make the world unfurl in front of the players' very eyes. Being the narrator, they must also play the side characters and tell the story while the actors play their characters. Best of luck, Dungeon Master....
(NOTE: I will provide the opening for each session, depending on the previous session, except for the first one for obvious reasons. It's up to you, the DM, to improvise the rest of the story.)
