Dreadfire
Project Overview
INTRODUCTION
Hello, everyone! This casting call is for a video game called Dreadfire. Dreadfire is a thrilling and fast paced ultraviolent FPS game. The game's single player campaign is split into 5 chapters.
I'm casting for a multiple voices for the many characters in Chapter 1 of the game. All the characters will available roles are all important and crucial characters in the story.
All roles are in the English language. Voice actors must be fluent in the language.
For main roles (+ additional lines for minor roles and retakes), we're paying between $15-$50 for the project. All payments are made through PayPal.
The name of the voice actors will appear at the game's credits scene.
DEADLINES AND AUDITIONS
The deadline for auditions is September 1st 2022. There are currently no plans to extend this deadline, as the full Chapter 1 script is ready to release to voice actors. All voice actors must complete their voice lines before or on September 15th. This is a hard deadline. If you are unable to record between September 2nd - September 15th, please do not audition.
WHAT TO EXPECT
I'll be communicating primarily through Discord. If you are unfamiliar with either of these applications, you can still audition, however, we strongly, strongly recommend participation through Discord so that you can collaborate with your fellow voice actors.
WHAT I ASK OF YOU
- First and foremost, have fun -- I take pride in bringing together talents in different mediums to create something truly phenomenal, but none of it means anything if the people involved aren't passionate about their craft.
- Please submit clean recordings on prosumer mics (no air conditioners in the background, no fans -- I don't mind performing noise reduction on your files, however too much clean-up reduces the quality of your voice). And speaking of clean-up -- please let me handle the post-production. Don't add effects to your lines.
- Feel free to cut your lines to your best/favorite takes. Three is the gold standard. I have a few voice actors that would rather give us more takes, and that's okay, too. However please at least remove the takes you don't want to be featured in the game.
- Please submit your recordings as one .wav file to my email, which will be provided to you after casting. If a file is too large to submit via email, I prefer to use Google Drive.
- Lastly, since the game has 5 chapters, I'd like to cast people who will be able to stick with me for a while. A lot of the characters will be in many other chapters and I would like to return to existing voice actors if possible.

One of the supporting villains in the game. He is a large muscular man and a psychotic cannibal. Shows no remorse for the horrible atrocities he's committed.
(Angrily) Nobody escapes Meatmaker!
(Yelling) Running will get you nowhere!
(Angrily) Beg for mercy!
A supporting villain of the game. A brilliant hacker who has control over the entire facility's systems. Also possesses the ability to mind control others.
(Cunningly) Going somewhere?
(Cunningly) Not on my watch!
(Cunningly) Were you going to use that door?
The main antagonist of this game. Leader of all other supporting antagonists. Shows no remorse or regret.
(Calm but intimidating) Enough talk. Now, give me the key.
(Annoyed) You will pay for what you've done.
(Angrily) He's useless, toss him into the burner.
The Shifter is a supporting antagonist of the game. She is a girl who has the ability to create portals and take you to alternate dimensions (usually twisted and evil dimensions). The Shifter's real name is Elizabeth. When she became 18, she became a test subject for a cruel human modification experiment which gave her all these new powers which she now uses for revenge.
(Bitter) This place's taken everything from me!
(Angrily) Pay with your life!
(Creepy) This is my dream wonderland! Do you like it?
