Character Design Series: SEISMOS, THE WATER ELEMENTAL.

Character Design Series: SEISMOS, THE WATER ELEMENTAL.

Project Overview

The character design series is something that our team has been working on for a long time. The goal is to complete the full pipeline of character creation for a video game, spanning from initial concept to the full implementation. We come up with a design and get concept art, 3d models, game ability design, VFX, SFX, music, and finally voices. After everything is put together it is showcased in a video format very similar to a character release video you would see in popular games like League of Legends, Overwatch, Dota, etc.

After the video is complete it is shared online on YouTube as well as other social media platforms. The overall goal is to build a portfolio for all of the entities involved, including our artists, sound designer, modelers, etc.

As a voice actor, the amount of voice lines we will need will likely be around a dozen, as well as some basic voice effects for taking damage, making an attack, etc.

  • And the winner is...

After spending multiple days going through the submitted auditions for quite a while, we finally had to make a decision. There were so many good applications, and narrowing it down proved quite a task! Congrats to OliverVAVO on getting the role!

If you auditioned, we thank you so much, and absolutely loved the talent and passion everyone put forward for this project. If you didn't get the role, don't fret, as we will have many more characters to audition for in the upcoming months.

    Thank you!

  • Submissions closed, wonderful work!

Thank you everyone who applied! Me and the team have gone through about 75% of the applicants and there are just so many good ones. Our 3d model is done now, as well as the theme. Our final steps are to finish up SFX and VFX. Thanks for everyone with interest! We will be making the final selection soon.

If you didn't get chosen, don't fear! Everyone who applied did an amazing job and there will be many more opportunities with our character design series moving forward :)

  • Project update!

Thanks for all of the submissions so far! Me and the team will be looking through all of them soon, what I've listened to so far has all been great. Soon I'll post the update with the 3d model and theme song! :)

Paid: Flat Rate 10 USD
Role assigned to: LivSmith

Seismos is an elemental water golem erected by a jungle civilization. His duty is to prevent trespassers from entering or defiling the jungle he is sworn to protect. He is a massive creature, towering above the trees, made of malleable water and bound by stone runes. Seismos should have a commanding voice with a mid-low pitch. He speaks with a both proud and intimidating tone. When they hear his voice, his allies would look up to him in awe, his enemies would cower in fear. In post production an aqueous filter will be added with some reverb due to seismos's existence as a magic water elemental.

When auditioning, feel free to read the custom audition lines, or any of the lines below. There probably won't be more than a dozen voice lines. Some grunts from attacking or taking damage will also be needed.
