A long time ago, during the birth of the world, the great Spirits of the Zodiac fed their energy into the Earth.This great allocation of elemental magics gave birth to all the creatures of the world, both magical and non-magical. Unfortunately this power proved too great for some whether they had magic or not. Both humans and animals became corrupt by this magic and the desire for more, some turning into monsters from the darkest recesses of our worst nightmares.
Chaos roamed as evil was allowed to prosper. The great Spirits heaved with the weight of evil in the world and focused their individual energies into twelve people, making the first Celestial Avatars. Taking on the ideals, characteristics and elemental magics of their Zodiac, these champions brought peace to the world, restoring the faith of all living things in the Zodiacs. Many years have passed, Celestial Avatars have come and gone and the world knew peace again. The great Spirits, confident in the peace their champions had created, begin to rest, turning their backs to the world believing it to be safe. In this respite, no Celestial Avatars were created.
Several centuries have passed and now people begin to wonder whether they even existed to begin with, doubtful of the feats these godlike beings accomplished… But there are some who know they were real. Darkness seeps back into the world. People disappear, monsters return, whole villages abandon the Zodiacs and there is no-one capable of stopping this sudden and unnatural change. A great evil has risen, living off of the powers of the Zodiacs, leeching the elements out of them. To combat this threat, the Zodiacs risk it all by imbuing the remainder of their powers into twelve new Celestial Avatars, leaving themselves open to the assault of this dreadful new enemy, their hopes for the world left in the hands of twelve new heroes, many of whom have yet to even discover who they truly are.
Hello everyone, my name is FunkyT and this is the casting call for the Celestial Dawn Saga. “What is the Celestial Dawn Saga?” I hear you ask. It is a fantasy audio drama for youtube that shall be told in the style of a visual novel incorporating themes of romance, comedy, adventure and action. I have been working on this for a while with a group of very talented people and now we are ready to start casting! Below you will find the characters and a list of requirements for anyone wishing to audition. Thank you for your time and good luck! :D
Audition Guidelines
Do not worry about pronunciation, it won’t affect your audition.
Once cast, each actor will be expected to join the discord server to go through scripts with me and, potentially, the other cast members for each episode. So discord is a must.
Mic quality is also important. Auditions with poor mic quality will not be considered.
Record each audition in mono 44100 hz.
Those cast as Celestial Avatars will also voice the Zodiacs.
Auditions will last until 28/08/20 6pm gmt
