Berserk the Audio Manga, Episode 2: The Brand
Project Overview
Berserk is a dark fantasy manga, written by Kentaro Miura. Following the Black Swordsman Guts, a man with a cursed fate, the story explores the depths of camaraderie and betrayal, and contemplates whether or not a man truly has any control over his destiny. Over the course of almost 30 years, over 300 chapters have been released, with the end still not in sight. This project seeks to adapt the entirety of Berserk, taking the incredible artwork from the manga and adding music, sound effects, and of course, voice acting.
Episode 2 finds Guts wandering in the dark forest, before being offered a ride by the kindly priest Adolf, and his daughter Collette. Reuniting with the elf Puck, Guts suffers a horrific nightmare in which he confronts his own demons, before awakening to find the carriage under siege by a host of undead spirits.
While I do consider this a passion project, it is something I ask that everyone put their best effort into. I want this to be the highest quality I can make it, and to do that, I need my cast to have good recording equipment and the discipline to get their lines in on time. With that said, any and all are welcome, and I look forward to hearing your auditions!
