Tayo van Beever is an animator and illustrator from Boston currently based in NYC. He was raised around the arts, and always knew that he would end up studying a creative field. Initially, he intended to go into architecture, but after a creative assignment in highschool where he directed a short traditional animatic film, he discovered the joys of the medium. Growing up, Studio Ghibli films were a huge inspiration for him; now they are pushing him to pursue animation as a career. He is currently working in his fourth year at the School of Visual Arts, where he has finished two solo short films, Moving House in which a small sprite looks for a new house, and The Girl and the Guardian, where a girl forms an unlikely bond with a robot soldier.
