Tayo van Beever
Tayo van Beever is an animator and illustrator from Boston currently based in NYC. He was raised around the arts, and always knew that he would end up studying a creative field. Initially, he intended to go into architecture, but after a creative assignment in highschool where he directed a short traditional animatic film, he discovered the joys of the medium. Growing up, Studio Ghibli films were a huge inspiration for him; now they are pushing him to pursue animation as a career. He is currently working in his fourth year at the School of Visual Arts, where he has finished two solo short films, Moving House in which a small sprite looks for a new house, and The Girl and the Guardian, where a girl forms an unlikely bond with a robot soldier. He specializes in all things 2d animation from storyboards to backgrounds, and is looking for the chance to start his own studio and direct feature 2d animated films one day.
