About Sally Basler

Hello, I'm Sally! I am a 20-year-old animator and voice actor from New England. I can do wide range of accents--deep voices as well as high-pitched ones--impressions and sing. I also compose original music.

My award-winning animated TV show, "Transportation Station" has been recognised by the following film festivals:

- New York Animation Film Awards (semi-finalist), 2023

- Los Angeles Animation Festival, 2022

- Tokyo International Film Fest, 2022

- New Wave Short Film Festival, 2022

- Roma Short Film Festival, 2022

- All American High School Film Festival (3 category nominee), 2022

- YoungArts (award winner), 2022

I have done voice acting since at least 2014, starting with fandubs and comic dubs, then getting into serialised content. I have done work for several animated series, plus original content created by others and myself.

I have been animating since 2017 and drawing still art and comics for all my life.

HootMCFaints did an incredible job in the role as Velma in our Scooby-Doo project. Not only were the lines delivered well before the due date, but with exceptional quality and good communication.

Sally is a very talented animator and has a really cool series currently up on YouTube, 'Transportation Station', that I was lucky enough to be a part of. I had a great time recording for the role of Shikego, and am really looking forward to seeing the episode when it comes out! Highly reccommend working with Sally and would definitely work with her again <3

So far I've worked with Sally on 3 episodes of her amazing animated series Transportation Station, she is a fab writer, director and creator and its been a pleasure to work for her on the series and to voice Bernard. She is clear about what she wants from each character and takes the time with feedback and notes, very professional and I would definitely recommend her skills and talents for anyone else's projects. Looking forward to seeing what comes next!

Sally is such an awesome person to work with! She's super supportive, kind, easy to communicate with and gets along with the other cast members. She always submits her parts on time and with top notch quality!

  • @Candaru_Driemor

Turned in her lines early, very much appreciated!

Sally is an amazing VA and I highly recommend her. She is very talented and she gets her lines in very quick and easy. She already has done one project with me and shes doing another with me!

Sally and I have worked together for a very long time now. I have managed her on projects and she has done the same for me. She is a very capable voice actor, animator and artist with a wide range of vocal capability. Also she just happens to be my sister so perhaps I'm just a little biased :)

I can think of no better place to work than Hooting Pictures! Sally is very creative, professional, and kind. Her stories are engaging and clever and her characters are really fun to voice. She keeps everyone well informed of her progress and stays on schedule. I would highly recommend working with Sally!

Sally was great and easy to work with; very clear communication on the production schedule and deadlines, as well as a personalised script highlighting my lines while still providing context (a simple measure, but much appreciated!). She is a talented writer and animator, and I'm looking forward to both seeing the final product and working with her on future projects!

Hoo, boy. Where do I start with Sally? I know this is probably gonna sound redundant as hell, but here's the thing: I don't care if it is. I'm saying it from the heart. Sally Basler is a pure talent. Without question, she is one of the most talented, hard-working, most sweetest VA I've ever encountered. She's always reliable, knows how to get the job done, and pours her heart and soul into the characters she voices, especially with providing the voice of Raspberry Torte in her feature film debut, the feature-length Strawberry Shortcake animatic "Bittersweet!". To be perfectly honest, it'll be damning of me to not give her voice-over work again, because, like I said, she's one of the finest VAs I've ever worked with, and I couldn't be any more happier to have her onboard in my projects. I'm looking forward to work with her again. Thank you, Sally!

I’ve only worked with Sally for a day so far, but what a great experience this has been already! Right off the bat, she gave a warm welcome and answered all of my questions. Deadlines and guidelines were crystal clear! She even offered to help me create an IMDb account, and was extra quick to ask for my crediting information once I submitted the voice lines. I can’t wait to work with Sally and Hooting Pictures again in the near future! 💕

  • @sweettoothstudios

They voiced acted Frankie in my game! Their voice acting skills were superb and they were very fun to work with! :D

Sally was pretty much the first one cast for my Willy’s Wonderland comic dubs, while still respecting the deadline of course. Sally delivered a great Siren Sara impression from the 2021 movie, and I just knew I wanted to have her part of the team. Siren Sara has the least number of written lines next to Willy Weasel, but we decided to make the most of it with me requesting laughs, grunts, and one-liners, all delivered wonderfully by her! Throughout everything, she was great to work with! Hopefully, she keeps up the great work!

First of all, I highly recommend checking out Sally’s YouTube Channel, Hooting Pictures. She is a fantastic animator and I binge watched Bobby and his Nightmares.

Sally is a great director who gives lots of encouragement, but isn’t afraid to ask for adjustments when something isn’t quite what she wanted. Honestly, there are directors in Hollywood who could learn from her people management skills.

I am very excited to continue working with Sally on the upcoming episodes of Poinsettia Lounge.

Working with epic people like Sally is what makes indie animation so awesome and worthwhile!  I was so excited to be cast in her and Rook's series, Poinsettia Lounge, and greatly appreciate how kind, encouraging, and overall fantastic she has been to work with!  I am a big fan of Hooting Pictures, and have kept up with all the series and movies they have produced, and it's truly incredible the amount of talent, passion, heart, and quality that gets poured into every one of their animated productions.  I highly recommend working with Sally, it's been one of the best experiences I've had!  She is incredibly creative, a comedic genius, such a positive and happy presence in the production, and a lovely person in general.  Can't recommend Sally enough! :D

  • @Elrothiel

Working with Sally has been wonderful! Very professional and very clear! Projects are well thought out and planned! Got my script within a few days of getting cast! I can't recommend her and Hooting Pictures strongly enough! <3
