Kimmi and the East Avenue Mallrats

Kimmi and the East Avenue Mallrats

Project Overview

Kimmi and the East Avenue Mallrats is an upcoming pilot which I am hoping to turn into a full series. For the time being, this is unpaid work as it is a work of passion with no guarantee of a return on it. However, if we can secure the funds for a full series, we are open to working out contracts.

Untitled Kimmi Project is a love letter to an ambiguous version of the 2000s mall culture, particularly around the nerd and pop punk scenes.

Kirsten is the main character Kimmi's best friend. She's a 16 year old Latina who isn't afraid to show it. Normally has a bubblier and more cheerful personality. She is obsessed with horror movies.

  • Rats do not live in his hoodie! Also you’re one to talk, your hair is always a mess! And you wear the same pair of jeans for like a week at a time if no one tells you to change them.

  • You’re scrawnier than a homeless cat trying to fend off a large healthy dog.

  • Uh… yeah! I totally didn’t forget about that, hahahaha!

Arya Shaw is a 14 year old girl who is known as a semi-cynical, prankster type trash weeaboo gamer. She listens to exclusively video game soundtracks and J-POP, especially the artist Miki.

  • Uh, I don’t know, maybe online? Or maybe you’ll force me to come to another one of these stupid conventions and you’ll find one there. Besides, it’s just a small piece of plastic.

  • Oh, don’t be ridiculous, those are actually works of art. By the way, try and touch them and I will snap every bone in your body.

  • I must be in my natural habitat of video games.
